Sorry, you are misinformed or didn't remember things correct.
MOON never was listed at Poloniex, and never was removed from Cryptsy, when Cryptsy stopped withdrawals and trading, MOON was present at Cryptsy with good trading volume, that's why a lot of people in this thread reported their Mooncoins left forever at Cryptsy.
It's true that an original dev mentioned health issues before his sudden disappearing.
You're right, it's been a long ass time. Mooncoin was however completely dead on cryptsy and was listed on the other largest altcoin exchange at the time, I just can't remember what it was. Poloniex wasn't that big at the time, but that huge exchange it was on, which also had tons of volume, got hacked as well and shut down. I lost a ton there. All my damn alt coins Again, this is wrong. Mooncoin was never dead on Cryptsy. Quite the contrary, it even was one of the coins with the largest volume there often, until Cryptsy died. It was not listed in the BTC-market anymore, yes. But imagine a coin making the largest volume of ALL Cryptsy markets (incl. BTC) only on the LTC-markets. That was/is Mooncoin. Mooncoin was never listed on Poloniex, as Mooncoin_Foundation already said. Please do your due diligence, before posting. Thanks. Edit 1: Maybe you mean CoinEx? It was one of the first exchanges, where MOON was traded back in the day and it was heavy trading there for MOON, reaching over 30 sat. Then the exchange went down ... BTW: MOON only ~18% retracement in this correction phase. Check the list: Most other coins have gone down much more: http://coinmarketcap.com/Edit 2: Now it's ~34 % minus. But still perfectly in sync with all other coins. Mooncoin will get stronger with every correction.

Lol I read the Title [MOON] Mooncoin 🌙 35985+ funded addresses! LTC, then DOGE, then MOON! Yes a lot of coins in the hands of a scammy developer. Would you please disclose your proofs for this claim? Why don't you go trolling in the BTC-community? There are also people telling that Satoshi will dump it to zero one day.
|
|
|
whios tha peanut what fully dumped it incl the 1sat buy order, dont u kno u could have just micro sold it at 3 n 4 sats!, anyway hopefully das the end of tha peanut... hold yr bags team, she will rise again. Dont let her go below 1sat..... nice 24hr volume tho bear trap, looks like to me, may be about to pump again. Hold n Don't sell ...... The long term potential here is huge! long tem potential.. and why? It looks like a P&D coin Be honest: what else is BTC than a p&d coin? Or LTC, or DOGE, RDD, Ripple, Stellar, NEM, ETH, ETC ... you name it. Just look at the charts. If you think, those coins are NO p&d-coins, then MOON isn't either.

Is there anyway to to see if there are multiple address coming from the same wallet?
Maybe this can help: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/moon/#!wallets (but it's experimental, as the site states)
|
|
|
Btc crashing ...
While MOON only modestly retracing ... so you know what is a "safe bet" ...
|
|
|
Also if someone had edited Wikipedia articles before and has a good understanding of their rules and requirements, maybe you'd like to help with creating a Mooncoin article at Wikipedia? It should be mentioned how many funded addresses and successfully processed transactions MOON has (to show that it's not just one of thousands of coins), its advantages over Bitcoin and innovations, especially MoonWord (SmartLikes are still in progress...)
I've tried to add a Wikipedia-article years ago, but they deleted everything I created with the simple argument, that there were no links to relevant sources to prove (press-articles and the such) ...

For first considerations, this is a good start: http://www.coindesk.com/information/how-to-mine-litecoin/ (Mooncoin uses scrypt also, just like Litecoin) My linked old posting above refers to the old Mooncoin-repository on GitHub. The current one is that of barry: https://github.com/mooncoindev/mooncoin, but it misses the basic information on the ports and step-by-step how to compile, like explained on the old GitHub-repos from deaconboogie and gjhiggins. Barry, could you add this on the new repository, too?

Dear all,
On behalf of everybody invested in this currency I urge you to leave the past where it's supposed to be. No matter how much we all want it, the steps ought to be taken by you.
Remember it is not about you. We all benefit or suffer.
@CryptoDatabase & @coinflow
Do the right thing!
Sincerely, duhPeacemaker
I'm just trying to mediate. The "right thing" would require a move from both sides. Conflicts of this kind mostly are only solved, if both make concessions. Would mean (in my opinion, as far as I can oversee the whole thing): James pays back the owed amount without further questions asked and CryptoDatabase removes the bad ratings consequently. An adult way (@LittleStan) is, to solve problems, instead of displacing them ("leave it in the past"). As otherwise it will surely rebound later on again - and maybe at a much worse point in time. So solving this now helps the community in the long run. And Mooncoin has been and will be a future oriented coin. I'd like to underline, what Mooncoin_Foundation said: the Mooncoin-community was never toxic, but always helpful. Critical thinking and opinions yes and welcomed, but please be fair and let's help each other if needed, even if it is "only" with this case. That's exactly what I suggested Coinflow: "Accept the very reasonable and level headed conditions and move the fuck on." Part of that process is James paying back the the outstanding amount. I wasn't stating that Crypto should just drop it for nothing. OK, at first it sounded like only CryptoDatabase should "forget" about it. So again, let's hope, that both get their things right. Should not be so difficult.

Maybe a/one cold wallet of an exchange?
|

Why should I cover up what you did just to get back what I should have been given in the first place, you are in this situation because of your own actions, not mine. You just forced me to take it this far and I will take it further if I need to.
You can return my money and then I'll decide how I will handle my actions against you. I will not be forced to do anything to receive what is mine nor will I ever agree to such a thing.
Confirmed diva. Have you tried a Snickers bar? I don't think, this is helpful. The question is, how to get the problem solved. @CryptoDatabase: What would you suggest, to settle the difference and remove your bad ratings?

I downloaded the Coinomi Android app from www.mooncoin.com and withdrew from Bleutrade.com to the wallet address but am still not seeing the coins. I've had 'No Connection' message on the Balance page of the App. Any thoughts on this? I don't see a spot to put in server address like with Electrum. Thanks. See this posting by barrysty1e: Coinomi app still says no connection when i go to the mooncoin, and still saying no coins received so far.
Am I doing something wrong?
we were heavily ddos'd at the start of march, this lead to me changing hosting providers. i'm wondering if the coinomi wallet is attempting to connect to the old vps location. leave this issue with me and i'll see if i can get a new version compiled. james

Hey Barry, I know you're busy AF right now, but something you're probably already aware of is the subreddit for Mooncoin on reddit being woefully out of date, and the current moderators being inactive for over 2 years.
Is there anything you can possibly do about that so we can start working our /biz/ magick there too?
Thanks very much.
i came in as MOON's current dev late last year, having mined it for a year or two previously. i recognise one of the names as the original mooncoin dev; however the two other ones are unknown to me. possibly ask mooncoin_foundation or coinflow as to their whereabouts.. james deaconboogie (the original dev) who also ran the subreddit disappeared a long time ago. Mooncoin was on the search for a new dev for a long time, until now. The reddit had no priority. It may be claimed as an abandened one to be overtaken by the community. I'd recommend asking Evangelo and Mooncoin_Foundation as to coordinate the PR-efforts. A few days ago, godonus asked for this already. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1733963.msg19114192#msg19114192 and the conversation below.

Yeah I downloaded this new wallet and still cant sync at all. 0 active connections to Mooncoin network. Anyone else able to suggest anything? Try adding nodes from the following list: https://novaexchange.com/addnodes/MOON/You can simply add them via copy&pasting the list from that page into a config-file Mooncoin.conf in the user-directory, that Mooncoin creates and restart the wallet, or on the fly via console (example):

OK, let's see what happens. I could also understand CryptoDatabase, as for him he might refuse to "being blackmailed" (i.e. if he is of the mind, that he should being paid the money back first, without the need to do something ...). So all we can do, is hoping that this will come to a good end for both of you and the community.
this is simple common sense; its not blackmail. i'm not asking him to remove the comments prior, im simply asking for a guarantee that once paid, the comments will come down. as you've commented, this is between cryptodatabase and myself, so why you've taken it on personally and brought it back up in the forums is beyond me. james Absolutely. Perhaps someone who does not wish to visit the MOON? I've been around the MOON since the early beginning (2013/2014) and have seen everything Moon already. Edit: But am - of course - interested to see where it gets from here.

Your current trust-level could act as a warning sign for new users. So it is important to get this solved.

Hi guys -- launching the Mac wallet for the first time as I post this, and just opened a Bleutrade account to get my first coins. Honestly, i saw the name of the coin and chuckled (maybe even rolled my eyes)... but then I visited mooncoin.com and thought wow -- this isn't a joke! Excited to get started. EDIT: is there a bootstrap file I can download to expedite this? I'm getting an itchy trigger finger and don't want to wait to buy my first batch of coins. Check https://bchain.info/MOON/ (right hand side, below the list of unconfirmed transactions).

Sure, go ahead. What are Cryptopia demand to enlist Mooncoin again?
cryptopia made it clear that they didn't want mooncoin on their exchange (as we were sub-satoshi at that stage). the exchange and its operator (hex) has proven to act childishly not just in regard to mooncoin, but several other proven currencies as well. not interested in cryptopia, now that we're doing well james James, we all here cannot really check what is true about this. There have been several difficulties: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1733963.msg18889427#msg18889427https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1733963.msg19025777#msg19025777Have you contacted user CryptoDatabase to solve the problems, as recommended by Mooncoin_Foundation? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1733963.msg19028882#msg19028882I think, if the money is the only problem, we all here would be glad to help. Psychological fights or personal sensitivities, however ... that's the job of you two - and should be solved between you. @CryptoDatabase: Could you also be cooperative about this, to find a solution, in order to remove the "spot on the Moon"? Thanks. Edit: And regarding your last sentence: not interested in cryptopia, now that we're doing well It's not only about what you are interested in, but what the community is interested in. quite clear, i'd contacted cryptodatabase and offered to payout what was outstanding, as long as the feedback/comments were removed. to be even more clear; this was with my own funds, not sourced/funded money. he refused. we move on. james OK, let's see what happens.
