At one point, those guys with lots of fiat money will act ...They know something big is going to happen, but they don't know how big or bad it will be, and when it really becomes big, it will be too late to join the game

If fiat is indeed collapsing, what in the world makes you think that these savvy investors will drop fiat & start buying up your BTCeanie BTCabies BTC?
1762  Economy / Economics / Re: Dollar coming to an end on: January 12, 2015, 01:38:28 PM
The dollar isn't going anywhere as long as it's used to BUY BITCOIN!

Smart guy. When you buy bitcoin dollar with dollars bitcoins you stimulate bitcoin dollar and depress dollars bitcoins. Marginal, you can't measure it but it is there.

FTFY
Well we can play that game all day.

That's the point.  When Bob spends dollar to buy Bitcoin from Al, Al spends Bitcoin to buy dollar from Bob.
When a coin is bought, it is (at the very same time) sold.
Basics which many of our esteemed financiers fail to grasp.

The supply is the same regardless of the number of miners.
...
How does that work? (genuine question)

A block is mined ~every ten minutes.  25 BTC block reward.  This reward could be split by a million miners, each getting a few satoshi, or by two miners, each getting 12.5 BTC.

Because if you still didn't get it, the Cyprus bail-outs (for example) were just an hype excuse for a bitcoin pump&dump. Pretty much nobody from Cyprus actually started putting money in fucking bitcoin.

Noob, it's not about the Cyprus ppl but the fact ppl around the world dont trust this fiat scam + corrupt goverments.

Cypriots only trust Bitcoin scam Cool

Quote
Taking into consideration our users’ interests, the recent Bitcoin price drop, as well as the upscaling of the mining difficulty, CEX.IO Bitcoin Exchange would like to announce a temporary suspension of cloud mining services provided by the platform at the time of the next difficulty increase.

Hahahahaha.
Good morning, gentlemen.

I try to maintain a balanced outlook, but permabears can be so ridiculous I have to laugh at them.

If permabulls were anywhere near as foolish, I'd laugh at them too.

This old chestnut again?

I'll say the same as I did 6 months ago or a month ago.

We'll probably reach our old ATH by mid summer, and hit anywhere from $7000 to $12,000 before crashing down to $2000-$2500, possibly before year's end.

We should be above $10,000 for good by this time next year.

Unless something comes along to break Bitcoin before then.

Why would bulls feel stupid?

The majority of bulls have made a lot of money and bears have lost a lot of money (Not sure how this even is possible? Beartards gonna beartard I guess)

Whelp, you joined Jan. 2014 & started posting choo choo pics.  Safe to say you're not one of those fortunate bulls Undecided

I registered at that time yes but I've been around since march 2013, reading these forums

Lol, OK.  Have you been buying @ the time you posted all the choo choo pics, or just roping in more suckers handing out friendly advice?

Protip:  It's called facts.  If you just listened, your "holdings" would be worth twice what they are right now.

Pretty sure mostly everyone would agree that with an asset losing around 75% of it's ATH market cap you can safely say that traders lost money...

Not those who shorted BTC over the past year.  Bears love tanking prices.
logs or it didn't happen.  Grin

Not talking about myself, mostly got out on the way up.  If you think it unusual to short in a textbook bubble implosion, OTOH...

I've heard it from a friend which heard it from the brother of a friend? Aha.  Shocked

No. Reread what you are responding to [boldface 4 ur convenience]--it is a statement of fact, or, rather, two facts:
  1. Those shorting BTC over the past year made money
  2. Bears love falling prices.

Which of the two do you object to?
