Hi,
I'm looking to do my first transfer, its more of a test really. I want to move the very small amount I have from my Electrum software wallet to cold storage.
I'm not fussed about it being a super fast transfer, but I don't want it to not get confirmed either. The lowest I can do is 20 sat/b, but the next level up is 119 sat/b, but that's 50% of the BTC I'm trying to transfer. If I do it on the lowest one, is it likely it won't get confirmed? Or will I just have to live with the loss and use the 119 sat/b?
Thanks all.
Feel free to send it at 20 sat/byte. It is gonna take 36-48 hours or a little longer but it surely will go through. I always send at this speed. Here is a screenshot of my last transaction.

Anybody have an idea of who will take the golden boot with Harry Kane and Muhammad Salah tied??
Looking at their teams fixtures I think Tottenham has a tough fixture playing against Leicester while Liverpool faces crystal palace which looks like the later is a little easier.
What do you guys think?
Yes, Leicester showed a pretty good performance this season. Each goal will be earned in this game if Tottenham will not even manage to lose as they did in the last match. On the contrary, Salah will have more chances against Crystal Palace, hoping to see a game full of goals last 0-7 match. Thanks for the insight by the way, I'm putting some buck on Salah to win the golden boot.

This is the second year in a row that I'm receiving money in my 1xBet balance as a birthday present. Last year it was around 10$, I managed to turn it to 60$ and lost it all at once. This year I got around 20$, tripled it, and withdrew lol. The funny part is I did not make any deposit since November last year. Kinda nice of them, don't you think? Does a bookmaker you play on do something sort of this apart from free slot spins that you can redeem your winnings (play x game and double your winning in case you win or play z game and get back 50% of your bet in case you lose) only by playing your own money later?
It's an interesting way to retain customers, but out of all the big gambling operations I've seen around here 1xbit seem to have the worst reputation. Those seem like random sums to give out, are you a regular depositor there? How did you find out about the money in your account, was it emailed to you? These sort of rewards sometimes come with a catch, did you have to bet it a certain amount of times before you could withdraw it? I'm wondering whether there is any criteria to qualify because nobody seems to have mentioned it before. Besides welcome offers and the occasional free bet, I've never seen any gambling site send any more than a happy birthday email, but I guess it might depend on how much you bet. I know that 1xbit and 1xbet are one company but never had experience with 1xbit. My 1xbet account is registered to my phone number and I received a notification message about it directly to my phone. And yes, I'm an average depositor, some months I withdraw more than I deposit some months lose all I deposit. In total, a rough number of overall deposits would be around 4-5k and I withdrew around half of it so far (more than 4 years). The requirement is you have to bet that amount on at least 1.3 odd and if win you are free to withdraw.

is this available for everyone on 1xbet? or just the ones who have undergone KYC verification? because as far as I know in some gambling site only people who have done KYC or is a VIP in that certain gambling site is eligible to this feature. as for me, no I haven't it's probably because I haven't done any KYC and I am fine with it. although I am glad you tripled your $20 and able to withdraw it.
There is no KYC on 1xbet as far as I know. I assume you just have to be active and have burnt some $$$ on their platform to be eligible for the present lol. By the way, I'm not promoting them or anything else, just curious do other sites offer anything similar.

I mean, why don't you and gmaxwell just create a public but private section (section for developers only).
Making a private section would be against the ethos of FOSS. It would literally be a "gang of old school b'developers" that you claim we will end up with without "changes". Making a private section that only an approved list of people are allowed to post in makes it almost impossible to get new people to join. How about new section which similar with "Development & Technical Discussion" but, 1. Disable signature (just like Serious Discussion board). 2. More strict moderation (even as geek, i find "Development & Technical Discussion" moderation is quite lax). Or a special rank. People with that rank would be able to create threads and only users with the same rank would comment on that thread, publicly seen to everyone but commendable only for users with a "technician" (or smth else) rank.

I will be surprised if he comments on your feedback. He is building backlinks to his website. The thread we are writing at the moment is a crowd backlink (forum backlink), I found a profile backlink with the identical text as this thread. Source: https://www.namepros.com/members/aleksandrpet.1044163/When we will finally add the nofollow tag to all outbound links?

I put some beer money on 1xbet. I use the bookmaker for a quite long time so will recommend it to everyone when it comes to picking one. The screenshot is taken a minute ago. The odds were different when I made my bet.

The simple answer to this is that people need to write about the reason why bitcoin is dumping and majority of us thinks it is because of Elon Musk. That's the main reason why we see a lot of Elon Musk and Tesla posts everywhere in the forum. What i don't like is about the repetitions of the same topics but with different words.
Alot of them especially newbies tend to follow influencers/ politicians for easy buck and then put the blame on them when things go south. So to those saying that crypto prices are not easily influenced/ swayed are dead wrong. The crowd doesn't tend to follow influencers but follows the hype. It's not about Elon now. It's about the hype that his tweet causes. One thinks everyone is crazy to buy everything Elon seems to be promoting and tries to make a quick buck on these people's insanity not realizing he is being one of them. At the end of the day, Elon is playing with fire.

Because online gambling is not a type of trading. That's a game. Entertainment that you pay for getting entertained. I read somewhere it is statistically proven that only one in 8 gamblers wins on average (online, offline, casinos, etc.) so it's natural that arguments that say online gambling is trash more than those who support it.

Because people are dumb. Not only this forum folks but everyone who deals with crypto. Some say now it's not Elon himself posting these tweets, some third parties are controlling his Twitter account. Latest "call" was 4 days ago if I'm not wrong. Starbase logo was tweeted and the Starbase token skyrocketed after 10 minutes. This keeps happening despite the big hate he received after dumping tesla bitcoins. One thing is for sure, this guy isn't a simple businessman or an engineer like Steve Jobs or Bill, he has different motives.

Is there a lot of account farming these days or is it just me? It gets annoying, because once I read the replies of a post I immediately realize that the original poster is a liar. The posts aren't off-topic, but there should be a rule to prevent this annoyance. The guy behind these accounts draws attention; it makes it pretty clear to understand that the accounts are related. Take this for example: I bought my first 500 us dollars Bitcoin! [ archive.org]. The first page is consisted of 18 alt accounts with the same activity/post count and no merits. You'll observe that the guy behind these accounts was just submitting meaningless posts and then logging out from each account to log in to the next one. Each post time difference is around 2 minutes. Then, he did it again 4 hours later. Is there an actual bitcointalk account marketplace? How can this be really profitable for someone? I wouldn't pay more than two cents satoshis for such account. Possibly these are accounts of the backlink building companies. They farm backlinks and their clients don't really like comments written by fresh new accounts. Accounts with few tens of posts would add even more credibility and value to the backlink.

Any forum/community has its unique atmosphere that you have to adapt to if you want to be a part of it, a part that others listen to and respect. I think bitcointalk is relatively not that forum where you come to in order to have a good chat with people of the same interest. This is because of the moderation level. Humor-based messages or messages of 4-5 words that are written to ONLY react to someone's message are barely tolerated in btt. They are considered to be spam and get removed. Every single message should be informative, comprehensive, and meaningful.
I'm not saying this is a con or something compared to other forums, it is just as it is. Maybe it's for good.
So, back to the question. I believe, issues caused by my end (family, tight schedule, etc.) would possibly make me stop using bitcointalk for a certain time, but surely nothing can cause me to quit it permanently. Technically, a ban might cause but I'm sure I won't do anything that would lead me to a permaban.

I know on another forum, people gathered and decided to create a token that has nothing in common with the forum itself. Just smart people teamed up, picked up needed specialists for each aspect of the foundation, development, and marketing. They will allocate free coins for each participation depending on their contribution level. Possibly people who were not accepted to the "team" might also get some airdrop coins because the whole forum is going to take part in spreading the coin later when it's ready for launch. People out there creating some shitcoins and naming them Elonsperm, Fuckelon. Something with smart team members and a solid plan would definitely blow.

What do you guys think about betting on both teams to score on the game West Bromwich - Liverpool today? West Bromwich has scored at least one goal in 5 (more than 2.5 goals in each match) of their last 6 matches and Liverpool has scored at least one time in 8 of the last 9 matches. My bookmaker shows 1.85 odd. Feels like easy money to me.
