81  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Behold 30000 on: December 19, 2020, 08:32:56 PM
Bitcoin is set to launch for 30000.

Stop loss       :                     22000

Lock profits    :                     27500

Time duration :                    Before new year.

Why would you lock profits and exit here bitcoin and its epic new run is just getting started and I think it will completely go parabolic once it breaks 30k so personally I will hold onto my btc as I do not want to miss out on potential big gains in coming months.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Take Profits in BTC or USDT on: December 19, 2020, 07:34:27 PM
There is some confusion when it comes to BTC Market or USDT Market and sometimes it is difficult to decide to take profit in which currency, BTC or USDT.

I give you an example here and hope anyone can explain in detail.

ETH was 0.035 BTC few months ago and it was around 400$ USD. I did not took the profit and did not sell Eth.

Today, ETH is 0.028 BTC but in USD it is around 540$. (buz BTC price is high)

Now if i had sold it earlier at 0.035 BTC, so today's its worth would have been 660$.

So what's is the best approach in this case to get the maximum profit ?
It all depends on the market and how different coins move but considering the current scenario it is better to take profits in btc and keep accumulating btc untill we can say that it has peaked with a new multi year high price and then you can start moving to alts or usdt for even more profits.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What a great performance GRT - The Graph. on: December 19, 2020, 06:39:27 PM
I never traded alts before but since I sold my satoshis at 16.5k ... weak hands you know... was looking for way to recover the "losses" in the altcoin marked and surprisingly found a gem which got listed yesterday and I made a good recover. I jumped on the train @0.18$ and it just broke 0.28$. I think there's still room for more "mooning" since this was an old successful project without a token until now..
What do you think guys?

Note: Self-moderated to avoid all the unnecessary spam .
I have been reading about graph and its token alot here and other social media channels as well, obviously it has made quick money for many oeople so it is good to share the joy and excitement with others. On the other hand such oerformance reminded me of 2016-17 ico boom so maybe a new trend of icos or new projects is about to start where we will be able to make big bucks quickly but I hope there will not be scams this time around.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins will reach all time high on 2021 on: December 18, 2020, 11:39:53 PM
Yes, the top quality altcoins are all set to have a stunning 2021 in terms of bull run, if you ask me I have prepared some bull run targets that are possible but these are solely my guesses no investment advices so take it that way. I am expecting eth to peak at around 5k to 7k, trx can peak around 2 to 3 similarly my ada expected target is around 5.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I Invested $4,800 into Cryptocurrency trying to earn Passive Income W/ DeFi on: December 18, 2020, 10:47:37 PM
Defi projects are unfortunately still unreliable, I am talking in terms of number of hacks and security loopholes we have seen that it is like suicide locking your funds in them till yet because every other day we hear news of hacks and funds stolen from even the good projects so I think there is a lot need to be done atleast on the security and hacking issue before defi can come to masses.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC reached another ATH, what about ETH? on: December 18, 2020, 09:47:37 PM
If bitcoin made a new All Time High record now in the crypto market, do you think  Ethereum will also follow and break it's ATH last year January 2018 which is more than $1000?

We have always observed that if bitcoin rises in value, most altcoins follow as well. Even now that bitcoin has reached another ATH, altcoins are also increasing and now, market is in green celebrating the bitcoins new record.
As bitcoin has already broke above the previous all time high and also the psychological barrier of $20000 I think there is free way ahead now for bitcoin to move even faster into the galaxy. For ethereum I think it should also move soon and reach previous highs in next 4 to 6 weeks so that it does not left far behind and holders will feel better about it.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron alternative options .. on: December 18, 2020, 09:10:57 PM
Due to the high cost of ethereum in transactions, every time I make a withdrawal, I always use TRON, as the main choice because of the small cost.
what do you think, are you also doing the same thing?
Mostly I use ethereum only no matter how high the transaction cost is but the fact is that I am a long term holder so i have to make transactions on rare occasions only that is why I bear even the higher transaction costs. On the other hand I have seen people switching to tron for payments especially companies that were paying their employees via eth have switched to tron for cheaper fee.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about DEFI ? on: December 18, 2020, 08:25:19 PM

Hi ,  I know im not the first one asking this , but i need to know about your experiences with these defi coins , Because in last 2 weeks i was allocated my time to analyze a project , name of that project is '2local' .  They are  a loyalty platform powered by its own ultra-fast blockchain that supports local-2-local and sustainability . So , do you think that this concept is a good one ?? All the other facts are okay , I need your opinion on this project.. Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool
Defi is the future of banking and finance but it will take some good years to develop high quality ecosystem and products based on defi, I know some projects that are working to provide the necessary coding and infrastructure for defi platforms that will also help them offer more products and services so future is bright for overall defi sector.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: December 17, 2020, 11:47:30 PM
Seek for more crypto knowledge before investing in new projects, it's not always that easy to choose, as a newbie it's better to stick with old top altcoins on coinmarketcap, why? Because many newbie are in rush to make fast returns, if you are this type pls go for better top coins, 90% of new coins aren't serious at all, they are here to steal money from investors and give fake promises in return

Newbies are safer with top altcoins until they start learning how to choose wisely, do better diggings on new project to avoid scams

Cov-19 have been used to scam many newbies and even Corona virus coins are built too which have no real use cases

Play safe and be willing to learn
Well, it is not about newbies or old players in the market, top established altcoins suits everyone, new coins and projects that are solely based on promises are very riskyand sadly most of them fail or exit early, doing nothing but giving loss to investors and holders so the lower the risk the better.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regret in cryptocurrency investment? on: December 17, 2020, 10:22:35 PM
After reading the headline, it will be extremely obvious that the biggest regret in anyone's life will certainly be not buying Bitcoins at $ABC rate or not buying Ethereum knowing its being traded at $XY rate. But let's forget that and talk about the reality. ICOs were golden time to a lot of people, including me. I can't have regret buying bitcoins in the beginning (when 10K bitcoins were used to buy a pizza) coz I didn't knew about something called Bitcoin but real regret is not being able to take profits being experienced.

That having said, my biggest regret is not selling ICON ($ICX) at the price of $10 (ATH = $12.64) which I had receive in ICO at the price of $0.11. Share yours!
Everyone have their regrets and it is part of the game, similarly I too had good chances to enter for cheap and buy eth and btc during the pandemic crash, I was watching the situation closely and I was thinking that it could be the best opportunity to get in but then again I didnt had the extra cash and also I saved some for lockdown and pandemic days so yes everyone in this market has gone through this feeling.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dapps platforms with actual value in Dapps - top 7 on: December 17, 2020, 09:46:01 PM
This post confirms the dominancy of the ethereum network in the dApps arena and simply nullifies the ethereum killer statement very often used by the competitors. I also like the fact that tron is quickly moving up in the list because it is relatively new project among all these and is making good progress.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: December 17, 2020, 09:02:21 PM
Waves is one of the quality projects that I have in my list and recently it has done well but to keep up with the big guns and to remain competetive in the market waves and their developers still need to do alot and also build more products and services in their ecosystem. Tron is similar project and they are developing fast.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 17, 2020, 08:25:10 PM
Ethereum’s 6 biggest accomplishments of 2020 (and 5 disappointing moments)
https://cointelegraph.com/news/ethereum-s-6-biggest-accomplishments-of-2020-and-5-disappointing-moments

Changpeng Zhao: Binance makes up to 50 acquisitions a year
https://pro-blockchain.com/chanp-en-chzhao-binance-osushchestvlyayet-do-50-pogloshcheniy-v-god
No doubt binance bnb and binance smart chain are building a huge ecosystem and they are one of the most proactive projects in the field of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency as they aim to become a one stop solution type of service provider for all things related to crypto. While binance is advancing well still I'm quite sure that Ethereum will remain dominant and it will not only reserve its spot but also grow in all aspects in coming months.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pornhub now accepting Monero on: December 14, 2020, 10:10:28 PM
A year and a bit after Verge bought its way onto Pornhub and not sure how many months after Tron bought its way onto Pornhub it finally happened. Visa stopped offering its services to Pornhub, so they were forced to seriously looking into cryptocurrencies and finally add Monero as a payment option.  I will not be surprised if after a year Monero become most used payment option on Pornhub. Why would people want their neighbours know they use Pornhub?

Who cares? They already accept many coins so it is not surprising to add more coins.
It is better for cryptocurrencies to move forward if giant real world daily use companies start accepting crypto like amazon and other physical grocery and retail stores so i think big names should try to incorporate cryptocurrencies in real world economy to really make it mainstream.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $8.2 million worth WNXM token has been hacked on: December 14, 2020, 09:12:40 PM
https://i.ibb.co/T1SWKcW/IMG-20201214-205715-412.jpg

Another big Hack in DeFi! $8.2 million worth WNXM token has been hacked  😱 !!!
How ironic is this hack because this project was aimed at providing insurance so lets see how it would provide the insurance to its own investors and token holders, things are not as simple as they look like and it seems like developers are attacking other developers projects because a common person cannot hack such complex contracts.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH 2.0 has still no Effect on ETH price on: December 13, 2020, 12:22:35 AM
Everyone know ETH 2.0 is recently Passed  and unfortunately I had not seen any positive changes in Ethereum Price .
I am so 😲 shocked that why ethereum 2.0 doesn't effect the price of ethereum just like bitcoin halving effect the bitcoin price like halving make BTC price higher . but Ethereum 2.0 doesn't show anything till now.
Please share your thaughts about this it will be pleasure for me
Halving is a different thing this is just like upgrading the original eth network with different strategies, programming and coding. Eth developers are busy and active in coming up with all eth 2.0 upgrades but please remember it will take time because what has launched till now is phase 0 so atleast wait till phase1 and 2 are also launched. Avout price im confident it will keep following the uptrend from here onwards.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Active Crypto Scams? on: December 11, 2020, 11:18:24 PM
Hey all, what are some examples of some active crypto scams right now?

The biggest one I know of at the moment is Smartway Forsage. It's a decentralized ponzi scheme that exists on Ethereum.

Are there any bigger ones active right now?
We cannot call them crypto scams rather titling them as ponzi scams is enough because there are many types of ponzi schemes both crypto and non crypto based and unfortunately this ponzi sector is so huge that it likes a big industry, these ponzi schemes have a long background and history so i do not think they can be differentiated as they have separate kind of fans, supporters and investors.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many old coins are dead and abandoned by the developer, WHY? on: December 11, 2020, 10:27:26 PM
this is just my opinion....that most old coins are not worth for the long term as they depreciate in price over time. Only Bitcoin and Ethereum are the exception, since they're still one of the most popular coins in the mainstream world. It's best to "hodl" these coins alongside new ones with active development and innovation, in order to prevent many undesired losses in the future.

Right now, there are many old coins that are still alive. But they're often "under the radar" as people are mostly focused on profits rather than utility. There are many good coins like Namecoin and Primecoin, each with their unique features in the crypto/Blockchain space. AFAIK, there are no other coins like Primecoin with an innovative PoW consensus algorithm based on prime numbers. It helps our society with the discovery of prime numbers, putting PoW's "energy consumption" to good use. Sometimes I wish a new dev team or the community would take over the development of Primecoin, in order to further improve its consensus algorithm. Being one-of-a-kind coin, I consider it to be a hidden gem. Namecoin, on the other hand, is a good old coin with a decentralized domain name system. It was the first cryptocurrency to ever make use of a decentralized DNS. Ethereum may have taken the lead in decentralized domain names, but Namecoin is still an alternative worth considering.

No matter which old coins you choose to "hodl" for the long term, it's important to never put all your life savings on them. The risks with old coins are much higher than shiny, new ones on the market. You could end up "holding the bag" someday if your old coin of choice becomes abandoned in development. This in effect, leads to exchanges de-listing the coin, putting trading activity all the way down the drain. You can still use the Blockchain if there is at least 1 node and miner on the network, though. I'm still "hodling" Spreadcoin, despite not having any exchanges available. The Blockchain is still alive and running, which makes the cryptocurrency useful. Let's hope that abandoned coins like Spreadcoin experience revived interest from a new dev team sometime in the future.
There are many factors and reasons that result in project failure, closure or simply abandoning from the team or developers. Some of the main factors include:
Outdated business model.
Team disputes or team losing interest.
Use case not popular.
Bigger and better product in the market already available with no space for more projects.
Failure to attract large userbase or community.
Failure of team to follow roadmap and delievering on the promises multiple times.
Investors losing confidence.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: For Bounty Hunters on: December 11, 2020, 09:43:38 PM
You do something for free and then you start raging that the person whom you did it for should be expelled? Sounds logical? Roll Eyes
Its about time some of the bounty hunters understood that running after bounties is a waste of time now. If you want to get paid get a job or gain some skills and apply for jobs in real life.
Again merit sources are partial towards those who have been spamming the bounty sections. However we have many users who started as bounty hunters but became well known/well awarded with merits in the longer run. Why not strive to be someone like them?
Anger will not get you anywhere. But it is normal to be angry but this is a reminder that no payment that is worth enough money is ever promised for a project specially because the altcoin market is another pump and dump to larger scale and coin offering are non-legal securities - it is not even worth calling them securities at all.
You will not be getting any sympathy from other users here, rather more bashing that you should suck it up and move on. Sorry to say but it is true.
It is true and that is why i think it is time for hunters to unite and speak up for theor rights especially when the project team tries to exploit or abuse the hunters or deny them for their rightly earned rewards. Bounty hunting is not just bonus or free money it is like freelancer where hunters are not the employees but are paid for tasks performed according to the rules by the project.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The success of the project depends on the project developer himself! on: December 11, 2020, 09:15:57 PM
The ICO craze has enabled a lot of these developers to just march out on their own and start coding, make a website, answer telegram questions etc etc, all the while thinking that they are doing something truly unique. They forget that at the end it is a business and they need a product. A product needs marketing, advertisement and all that shit. Yet, the problem with most of these so-called undervalued, good devs is that they all think they are on to something unique. It is impossible for everyone to be a Satoshi or a Bill Gates and make a business from scratch simply on the basis of the novelty and brilliance of their ideas. The echo chambers of their telegram/ Reddit groups makes it all the more easier to fall for this narrative.

They all could do much better only if they used some business sense and actually invested in marketing their product, meeting potential clients and just run an actual business.
I do agree to the fact that after the quality development it is the marketing side that adds big time to the success of a new project. I have seen great quality projects that struggle in the market just because of low or no marketing, sometimes the marketing is not targetted as it should be so a marketing strategy should be deployed. As we have seen that crypto market is sensitive and volatile and it can quickly provide the much needed hype and fomo that can result in huge demand and value gain.
