62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop wishing Ethereum dead or overthrown on: December 27, 2020, 07:37:16 PM
Lately I've seen too many posts in this section talking about an Ethereum killer ( Avalanche, Polkadot, Chainlink etc)and I will like to drop some points about this.

There is one thing I like about the whole crypto idea, the power have been given to the public, people are the ones to still decide where to invest their money, the most popular smart contract project is Ethereum and it's the founding father of smart contract too, if another project is going to kill Ethereum all developers that like using ERC20 smart contract will stop supporting Ethereum and even almost all eth lovers will stop buying ETH and move their funds into the new project, well to me it's never going to happen.

Ethereum supporters are over millions in numbers and people who wants Ethereum to get killed are just few in numbers, NEO,Stellar, EOS are old smart contract projects too but never wished Ethereum dead, they co-exists with Ethereum instead, till this day they can't beat Ethereum, the power of Ethereum is from the community and people's support, Long Life to Ethereum
Yeah I have been suggesting the same in my circle of crypto enthusiasts who just say that ethereum is now going to be replaced and bla bla every few months and they see a new project superior to ethereum but i have always said that realistically it is not possible because eth has deep roots and dynamics in the market which cannot be subsided by any new project.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to class action sue the SEC. on: December 27, 2020, 06:39:33 PM
A class action could likely be made out against the SEC by XRP holders.

[1] The SEC failed to act in a timely manner with respect to XRP allowing XRP to continue for 5 years with no complaint.

[2] The SEC's failure has contributed to or caused losses it's action now has directly or indirectly caused.

The SEC's filings admit they knew or constructively knew in 2013~2014
I was reading the other day an article where they told that the SEC chairman has changed and the new appointed person is thought to be pro crypto so i will stay positive for now and i hope good things will come from now on and as far as SEC is concerned their behavior will also change towards legit and well established crypto projects atleast.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: December 27, 2020, 05:59:54 PM
I have some DOGE, received from faucets. Not much just around 500.

After the increase in the transaction fees of BTC, I have thought of converting my BTC and LTC to DOGE for the transactions and keep them as DOGE. On the second thought, I thought of converting my DOGE to LTC and keep.

I have gone through some articles about DOGE's future price and I got some 50-50 opinions. I discussed with my friend and he suggested me to hold till mid-2021, I can't say why till mid-2021.

It's true that many sites have started accepting DOGE, thus it is getting popular so there is a chance that the price may increase. Still, my knowledge says there are certain loopholes like there is no upper limit in mining DOGE and it is still much easier to mine compared to others. In short, the demand & cost curve is a bit of a failure here. Though one can't say what might happen after 20 years.

Here I want some expert advice on this. Whether it is a good idea to convert and hold or keep my DOGE reserve constant.

Doge is nit worth holding in my eyes, even its founder said that it is a meme coin with no real use cases intended. Yes, if you are a fan and want to hold them as unique collectible coins then you must do that out of your passion, i do not think it is attractive as an investment coin.
65  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Anyone Else Been Locked Out Their Coinbase Wallet? on: December 27, 2020, 05:25:21 PM
My Coinbase account has been restricted a few days ago so that I am unable to trade or withdraw.
When I log in it asks me to verify my account with identification. I've done this by my account is still locked, and sent an email support ticket and message on twitter to their support but no response.
I was able to log in and view my portfolio just not withdraw or trade until today but now today I get an error message when I log in so I can't view my account at all.

From searching online I came across this article which shows many people have had the same experience.

https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/investing/article-9043369/Hundreds-Coinbase-cyptocurrency-customers-lost-access-money-weeks.html

Has anyone else on the forum had an experience like this with Coinbase?
It happens when they flag the account due to suspicious or fraudulent transactions and do not worry it is just their analysis and it is not final you should contact support and when they will re-check they will reactivate their account if there is nothing wrong so make sure you are in contact with their customer support service.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The Broken Promise For The Hunters on: December 26, 2020, 10:11:57 PM
Bounty hunters are those who enthusiastically join a campaign to promote a specific project to earn only a small amount of money from crypto.

But unfortunately, many project if not failed, they just give promises to the hunters to pay for their hard works after a couple of months which is still good to the part of the hunters and can do nothing but wait for the exact date that the project has promised.

Unfortunately, when the exact date comes, the project still refuses to send the reward for the hunters for the reason that they need to change their website and not keeping their promise. Anyway the website has nothing to do with the distribution of rewards, right? They promised to distribute rewards for ETH addresses, but not for accounts on the website.

This is very disappointing in the part of the bounty hunters, but what the hunters can do? Still nothing, but always hope and wait.

I believe a great project will be successful if they have a good marketing strategy with the full support of their team. The reward they provide for hunters is only a small percentage to promote their project. That is why I think they should give what is for the hunters, whether their project is successful or not.
Although hunters also wish the project success, of course.

What do you think guys, I am right or not?
It is strange that there are no clear rules related to bounty campaigns im talking about standard rules for payment that include specific days for final spreadsheet and then specific days for distribution and the projects and campaigns who do not follow should be exposed and further proceedings should be started against them, bounty hunting is a serious work and it should be paid promptly.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with crypto for government services on: December 26, 2020, 07:17:46 PM
Crypto is growing in popularity each day, bringing the attention of mainstream governments and banks worldwide. Some governments have already imposed regulations towards the crypto/Blockchain industry, while others are still undecided. I've heard that some US states allowed citizens to pay their taxes with crypto. I'm not sure if they still allow this, but it brings convenience to crypto "hodlers". Imagine being able to pay with crypto for a birth certificate, driver's license, and even bail predetermined by courts.

Do you think governments around the world will allow people to pay with crypto for their services? Or is it still too early to tell? Will accepting crypto payments directly, increase people's confidence into crypto/Blockchain tech? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Smiley
I would love to do that in my country but sadly it seems like the government and beaurocracy here does not care about it and that is why people here are suffering while other countries where they are encouraging the use of crypto are moving ahead and in coming years there will be clear difference among countries based on this parameter.
68  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc and alts on: December 25, 2020, 10:01:30 PM
I am confused among these, cauze people says

1. Btc pump then alts dump
2. Alts pump then btc dump
3. Both btc and alts follow each other

But we can see that only the 3rd scenario is happening right now i.e alts are following btc.
What's about the 1st and 2nd.
(Actually I am a newbie in trading)
I think it is time we support bitcoin fully and let it go completely parabolic because it will eventually help all the market in com8ng months as all the alts especially the established ones will follow btc that will cause intense pumps in their prices as well.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bitstamp requires US customer to withdraw XRP on: December 25, 2020, 08:41:34 PM
I am in the US.  Bitstamp requires US customer to withdraw XRP.  If Coinbase, Bittrex, Kraken in US also delist XRP then what exchange that I can transfer XRP to?  Or what is the personal cryptocurrency wallet or app that I can transfer my XRP to?  Thank you.
Yesterday there was a news that the new SEC chairman that is appointed is a pro crypto person and even we saw the reaction of this news when the xrp price quickly recovered then the news of bitstamp halting xrp trading for US customers again dumped the price but now there is a hope again in the market that xrp's issues will be settles by SEC as we have a pro crypto person heading the SEC.
70  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CONFESSION TIME: I SOLD TOO EARLY on: December 25, 2020, 08:00:15 PM
OK, let's just say not many of us really believed bitcoin will hit $20,000 this year or this soon.

Personally, my eyes was on ETH and Link to do some unbelievable run that could have seen them rise some 1000% this year. I'd expected bitcoin to, at most oscillate between $7K and $13K this year, but amazingly it was bitcoin that stole the show to lead the bullrun charge.

So, now is perfect time to reflect and hear some confessions from some of our Bitcoin OGs who'd been here since the early days (I won't be surprised to see Satoshi himself resurrect on this thread, in commemoration of his 10th year AWOL anniversary, so, be on the look out. Yea, I remember "We're All Satoshi", but still.....)

Let's hear you, how or where did you first discover Bitcoin? Did you mine on your laptops? Did you buy from MTGox or one of those early days trade platform's? And, most importantly, did you sell too soon? Or luckily, did you hodl till now?

And, no matter what, be proud of your contributions to the development and adoption of the Bitcoin phenomenon, because, we won't be here today without you. If you mined you helped stabilized its decentrality. If you sold you helped in its fare distribution. If you held you helped others to believe in Bitcoin.

Happens with all of us but even if you sold bitcoin too early i will suggest you to hold your Eth bags tightly as next year i expect eth to make decisive moves and it could be the real deal especially im talking in terms of leading the bulls, all i can say is that ethereum is going to be the highest demand coin in near future.
71  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Investment Platform on: December 25, 2020, 07:19:07 PM
Is it a good idea to buy some crypto for long time investment plan from exchanges such as binance as keep it there, any alternatives ? Because i have heard bad things about some famous exchanges such coinbase.
Yes binance is trusted and good to store coins but it is not suggested or recommended by experts because there is always risk to store your coins at third party exchanges or wallets without the private keys. So what you can do is after buying from exchanges you should transfer the coins to your private wallet in this way you will be in full control of your coins and investments.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Binance Withdrawals with Fastest Confirmation and Lowest Fee $$$$$ on: December 25, 2020, 05:34:45 PM
Best Binance Withdrawals with Fastest Confirmation and Lowest Fee .

73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: One Altcoin to invest on: December 24, 2020, 10:12:27 PM
0.2 BTC in hand.. One Altcoin to invest? Please share your thoughts.
As of now all altcoins have significantly grown in value but the only altcoin among top 20 that has yet to unleash massive bulls is tron trx so my suggestion would be to buy tron bags and then hodl for like a year for big gains.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How high do you see Ethereum going this market cycle? on: December 24, 2020, 09:28:43 PM
Assuming this market cycle comes to a close at the end of 2021, how high do you see Ethereum going? $100k seems to be the main target for Bitcoin, but what about Ethereum?

$4000? $5000? Higher?
Yes, with the developing bulls in the market and keeping in view the expected bullish cycle we can safely say that ethereum can hit 5000 but then again these are all assumptions and opinions and how the market will unfold only time will tell about it.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH still going higher as our anticipatiion on: December 24, 2020, 08:39:07 PM

$ETH Good Point for Long!

ETH has held above the Broken Horizontal Resistance, + we have a Falling Wedge pattern. If the Falling Wedge broken upward we consider a long position📈.
Eth is dumping recently but it was expected due to long holoday season and other factors like covid new wave and correction that was due but im hopeful that from january new year eth will resume its uptrend and i hope it willcross 1k mark in january.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum May Surpass Bitcoin’s Market Cap in the Next 10 Years on: December 24, 2020, 07:27:04 PM
Economist Raoul Pal says Ethereum’s (ETH) probable adoption as programmable money may see it becoming the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, overtaking Bitcoin (BTC) within the next ten years. At such a time, several blockchain networks may account for a larger share of the global financial markets as digital assets become more mainstream.

“My hunch is BTC is a perfect collateral layer but ETH might be bigger in market cap terms in 10 years for the reasons above. Money and collateral is just the base layer. Everything builds on top. The store of value is collateral, the trust layer and exchange of value is bigger.”

Pal dismissed the “one blockchain to rule them all” argument, insisting instead that different networks will carve out niches for themselves in the global business process. For Pal, Ethereum is better placed to capture areas like the $1.2 quadrillion derivatives layer, the $70 trillion equities arena, and the $260 trillion debt market.
the DeFi market has seen significant growth in 2020 with numerous protocol launches since the start of the year. According to DeFi aggregator Defipulse.com, the total value locked (TVL) in the DeFi market now stands at almost $14 billion.
Commenting on the need for a broad-based assessment of value across the digital asset (DA) space, Pal argued:

“This is why I care about the entire DA space. There will be many enormous winners, many failures, many scams, many false dawns but in the end, trillions and trillions of value will accrue across digital assets, tokens, protocols and crypto that tie all of this together.“

source: https://btcmanager.com/ethereum-bitcoin-market-cap-10-years-economist-raoul-pal/
Yes this is possible but will take a lot of dynamics to change because im expecting btc to grow to over 2 trillion market cap in 2021 but we all know ethereum is still very small by market cap as compared to btc so in the near future such comparisons do not seem realistic but yes over a course of years it can definitely happen.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP is DEAD?! Ripple XRP DUMPING?! Buy the dip? Price Prediction! on: December 24, 2020, 06:19:42 PM
I will not recommend to buy the dip as this is not the ordinary situation it is something very big and devastating. So what we all should do is wait and watch and keep track of news so that if there is any considerable positive thing happen then we should buy but buying now would be a big gamble.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Brave Browser The Newest Favorite Among All Browser on: December 19, 2020, 11:28:06 PM
As we all know Google is the most common and most used browser beating its competitors such as Yahoo and Bing. But a new player, Brave browser is now starting to dominate the industry, Brave browser is a crypto-friendly browser according to reports.

For more details read here: https://crypto.co/news/brave-browser-now-a-favorite-move-over-google/
Mate you are late for this post as we all know this and sounds like a 2 years old post. Basic attention token BAT and their flagship Brave browser are quickly gaining popularity and winning good percentage of market share now, the only drawback i see and perhaps because the bat token value not rising as expected is the fact that ad rewards are paid in bat that definitely keeps the price down due to constant sellers in the market.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium on: December 19, 2020, 10:28:21 PM
The price of ether is currently dumping a bit. What is the reason behind this dumping or what is the possibility of pumping ether in 2020? We look forward to hearing from you in 2021.
You are talking about Ethereum ETH right? So as for as its price is concerned it has done really well since april this year and the outlook remains bullish while going into 2021 so expect good bullish momentum ahead and I see ethereum as a very expensive alt in 2021.
80  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC $24k another new all time high on: December 19, 2020, 09:34:50 PM
BTC just hit another new all time high passing through $24k https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bitcoin
its time to rock on to $30k !
It is a matter of momentum, liquidity and volumes if all of these sustain in future the price of bitcoin will keep growing also if media and other social platforms jump in to create more fomo then accept btc to crusing up like a rocket.
