341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fun seeking gamblers vs profit seeking gamblers on: August 15, 2017, 03:54:22 PM
Very rarely I gamble. I do play poker, but I don't consider that gambling, since I have a decent winrate.

Anyway, when I watch a blackjack table in the casino, and I see people splitting tens, or standing on a 15 vs dealers 10, I can get really angry. I always try to tell myself that they are there to have fun, but why not play the best as you can while you're there. Why would you give the casino an extra edge?
342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN affect in WWIII (WORLD WAR 3) on: August 15, 2017, 01:15:36 PM
WW3 will not happen, so this is only a thought experiment.
Both North Korea and the USA both can't risk it. NK because their country will be destroyed, and the USA because it will cause many deaths to them and their allies.

Both countries just want to show their muscles, and won't do anything serious.

In theory however, when WW3 happens, I have to agree to machinek20. Everyone will have other stuff to think about then investing. Probably a ton of people will sell their bitcoins, because they can use the fiat more then BTC.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will be the number1 coin? Bitcoin or Etherium? on: August 15, 2017, 10:47:36 AM
Without the bitcoin technology, there wouldn't be any other coins, so with that in mind, only bitcoin is the number 1 coin.

And beside that, bitcoin is also the most well known coin for 'regular' people. My family for example only knows bitcoin.

Your old dividend address was 15H8bWs9w4wrYi5uNkut8sme8JLCjnDtaU

You would like to change it to 1GfyeaY3UahWRNch3kzzD2XBZ3ggSv1Vck ?

Sure. Let me change this on the shareholder sheet and buy back your shares for 0.12 BTC to square up our debt.

Confirm this is what you'd like to do and I'll send shortly!

Confirmed.

I want to confirm that I want to sell my shares back to MRKLYE
I don't have access to the dividend address anymore, so I would like to receive my bitcoins on this address: 1GfyeaY3UahWRNch3kzzD2XBZ3ggSv1Vck

Site seems down. When will it be online?
350  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Interesting Strategy for Dice Sites on: May 07, 2016, 08:48:43 AM
Don't want to be salty or something, but like any 'strategy', you will be losing in the long run. The dice sites have an edge on you, so you won't be making money.
351  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Rated # 1 by Bitcointalk Members ! on: July 06, 2015, 08:25:00 AM
With the exception of yes/no propositions, I have never seen a sportsbook put up only one side of an event for wagering. DB seems to do this on a daily basis.
That is most likely because the other event is too likely to happen (with odds < 1.01)
352  Local / Markt / Re: [Group-buy] 60.000 Kh/s scrypt miner ฿0.1125 = 300 Kh [Round 1] on: July 02, 2015, 07:03:35 AM

355  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitcoin-jackpot.org a simple fair lottery on: June 09, 2015, 09:56:44 PM
I haven't tested this site yet, so I don't know if it is userfriendly or not.

If there is one thing I am sure about, it's that the layout isn't really appealing to me. A better layout would attract more customers.
356  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Blocksize & Pools on: June 01, 2015, 08:30:48 PM
I don't really get your point.
The blocksize is already determined, and I don't see how that can be changed.

Even if it was possible, I don't see why anyone would want that. It makes the previous mined BTC worth less.

358  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to get highest free BTC? on: May 16, 2015, 11:38:41 AM
If you really want free BTC, you should go for faucets. There are several of them. Just search on google for 'BTC faucet' or 'bitcoin faucet'.

There is also the option of gambling, but in order to do that, you first need to buy BTC.
359  Economy / Services / Re: BitDice.me - Signature Campaign! [STARTED] on: May 12, 2015, 07:52:07 PM
Hi bitdice support,

I didn't have time to post a lot recently. I don't think this will improve a lot the next weeks.
Therefore I think it is best to quit this campaign, since I don't think I'll reach 20 posts every week.

I think you for your campaign, I think it's the best one available.

If you ever have a paid per post campaign, please let me know.

Thanks for everything,
Josepht
360  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.ME - CRYPTO CASINO - DICE - BLACKJACK - >100BTC MAX PROFIT - 1 YEAR OLD on: May 04, 2015, 10:23:10 PM

I have 16 against a dealer 7. I clicked 'hit' and it told me I wasn't allowed to do that!

Edit2: the game still isn't auto-standing on soft 21:

I didn't get to test the double-after-split thing, since it never came up, but at least I did find a new issue.

Well, 'new issues'. I already told Alex both bugs a little after blackjack was implemented on the site.
It seems that those problems still haven't been solved.
