1661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New BCN/Cryptonote-based coin discussion on: April 24, 2014, 07:52:09 PM
i dont think so ^^^^.

a new lunch with fairer distribuition is in order. mro lunched 6 days ago and i can't mine anything. while probably 200k coins are out already :/

That makes no sense to relaunch because you can't mine anything.  It's same with any coin.  It hard to mine darkcoin but I don't say they should relaunch.  You can't mine cinni but I don't say relaunch because I can't mine coin.  So the people that have been mining should just lose all coin value because you can't mine?

Your logic applied would mean all coins need relaunch because you not mine when coin launch so coin needs relaunch so you can get blocks.  People finding blocks.  Maybe you do something wrong?

I think there were talk of vote to make changes coin going forward.  What status of that?  Can dev give update please?  Thanks.

I also notice that there was blocks generated 12 days ago (in daemon) but the coin is launched on 18th which is 6 days ago ?
S**t , I wasted my time on this coin. Dev mined for few days before releasing with 1 minute block time, and now he wants it to be 2 minutes block time, and call it a fair launch.  I'm waiting for more fair CN coin, with better name, which will not be changed every couple a days. Will try HoneyPenny. Going back to BCN, at least there is a pool, and not forks every day. Monero release was rushed. Let it die.

Or you could check the timestamp yourself instead of listening to some random guy on the internet who just registered today. There's a "help" command in the daemon and wallet, you know.

Brand new account. Why do I get the feeling this is a puppet? Cheesy
Ok, that is ok. Sorry, perhaps date on his computer is different(1 week ahead). But BMR had rushed launch

People always find problems with launch for any coin.  No coin launch pleases everyone.

Very suspect that new account make that post.  People always try destroy coin for selfish reasons.  They have selfish motives likely for talking bad about the coin.

You wrong.  Coin launched 18th.  Original OP dev not want to change block time but willing to put for vote.  Why you try and spread false information?  You can mine any coin you choose.  Why is name so important?  More to a coin than name and fancy logo.  This coin is good and issues will be resolved with vote to make any changes.

I've just downloaded Windows binaries and daemon is syncing. I have few technical questions:

- Where is the blockchain stored in my computer (Windows/Linux/OSX) ?
- Can i copy whole blockchain to another computer with another wallet so i don't have to download blockchain again ?
- About mining, can i mine MRO on another computer and point the rewards to a random address (using the command posted on OP) of my own without having that wallet on that mining computer ?

I also notice that there was blocks generated 12 days ago (in daemon) but the coin is launched on 18th which is 6 days ago ?

i just put all my computers mining in 1 address. I will let you know if everything goes fine. I used

start_mining [wallet address] [threads]    on bitmonerod

That is correct way mine to one address.  Good luck Smiley

On windows  Blockchain stored appdata/roaming like most coin but you have to save from app.

On linux blockchain stored /home/**user**/.bitmonero

Wallet bin file stored in directory you run simplewallet from.

You can copy blockchain no problem

You not need wallet on mining computer.  Just point miner to wallet as outline OP

Please someone correct if I wrong.

The only file i see in AppData\Roaming\bitmonero is p2pstate.bin. Is this because the syncing is not completed yet ? How to "save from app" as you said ?

Block chain need to sync.  Then type "save" in window of bitmonerod.  It will save blockchain

When type save there may be scrolling in window.  Just ignore type save and then enter.  It will say storing blockchain and blockchain stored.

1668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New BCN/Cryptonote-based coin discussion on: April 24, 2014, 05:17:03 PM
I think we should wait and see if we can come to some kind of consensus on fixing BMR/MRO. If not then another fork is needed to finally get a nice clean coin that can showcase the CrypoNote technologies with issues of premines, rushed launches, etc.

No fork is needed.  Solutions to problems can be found.  Making fork when people disagree is bad.  Vote for the solutions is the best way.  I go with whatever majority wants.  If I lose coin then I lose coin.  Making new fork is bad and lose credibility.  Vote is the only way as talked about on main thread.  Coin is good but talk of fork makes it weak and looks bad.
1669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][MRO] Monero - an anonymous coin based on CryptoNote technology on: April 24, 2014, 05:13:32 PM
I'm ready to develop new fork that will suit us all.
Waiting for your thoughts there: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582746

There is no need for new fork.  Issues can be resolved.  I go with what majority wants. Give up coins, keep coins, whatever.  Time to move coin towards future and be very strong.

We are at a current total Network Hashing Power of 81 Mh/sec!

Miners put your hashing power where your HASH is! Wink

Network is going strong as usual! Smiley

Didn't it used to be a lot higher than that? Peak of 800 Mh/sec, and spent 5 days above 300Mh/sec? Now down to 81 Mh/sec, why is nobody mining it anymore?

Thnk it was because it was launched first with a different algo and had some issues.... read something about it in the first few pages, with links to the failed launch and stuff, where a lot of people got a lot of coins  before the issue was fixed. So im guessing people are abandoning ship because there's going to be an eventual dump once it hits better exchanges and nobody want to be the whale food that makes the prices go up at their expense. No other hyped up x11 coin released recently to justify for the drop in hash rate.

It was instamine.  Low diff for first 10000 blocks.  FACT!    Many coin out that people hold.  Large percent.  If listed big exchange people dump soon.  Coin is not good.

It was not instamined. FACT. The difficulty changed way before we hit 10,000 blocks. lol We are even at block 36,000+ now, the diff. changes every block. Of course people are going to hold Hashcoin right now or buy, because it is selling way lower than what it should, there is a max of 44,000,000 coins, not billions.

As gpuminer stated it has had a 700% increase within a week. You don't see many other coins doing that. Hashcoin is going to be here whether or not you want to sit here and flame it and troll saying it was instamined. Because it flat out wasen't. It had a ninja launch that was a great success. Your false accusations are not going to hurt this coin at all. People may dump some coins here and there, but there will always be people to buy just as many. There is a buyer on Allcoin that purchased almost a million (he is obviously smart for doing so, because im sure he knows this coin will not fail and is going to go great places). Which as the developer I can say is true. I am pouring my time, my effort, my heart, and my life into this coin. It will work.

I'm not flame just tell the truth.  Everyone know anyway.  So do you.  Deny does not change facts

Just leave this thread, this was not an instamine coin, that rumor was started by some random kid on this forum flaming many coins and asking for BTC in return. Hashcoin was released legit and had no instamine. Im not denying anything, Im stating the facts. I can sleep just fine at night knowing Hashcoin is legit.

Thanks for wasting my time....Anyone have any good input for Hashcoin or any suggestions?

Mac OS X Wallet was released today by a forum member who compiled it for those interested. A new download link has been added to http://www.hashcoin.me as well.

You are wrong.   difficulty" : 0.00390625 at block 4254.  You deny all want but you are not truthful.  Why you tell me to leave?  I only provide facts.  Facts not lie.  People do.  Why you lie?

Here proof of instamine.  How difficulty 0.00390625 block 4254?   Please explain?  Other posts from people say the same but still you deny.  You not trust.  I done argue.  Facts speak themselves.  Everybody knows.  Deny is waste of time.  This coin bad.  Fact

You wrong and mislead people.  That is bad.

Fix is good. Need to be done.  I mine  and hold coins but understand why fix is neccessary.  I willing to have reduced coins to make future of coin strong.
1675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][MRO] Monero - an anonymous coin based on CryptoNote technology on: April 24, 2014, 01:19:33 AM
I think correct the coin now while early.  Not many blocks mined so if fixed now future of coin is strong.
