Looks dead
Tough luck, was good  Sad

Looks like it's going to rise from the dead.  It looks like a good coin.  I like the specifications.

eww that coin looks like a 12 year old made it.

Not really, it looks just as professional as this coins website.  I wasn't trying to compare websites/logo's.  I was just pointing out that Surge isn't the only coin catering to businesses.  It's already being done.

Attention Fellow #SURGE Supporters & Investors!! (PLEASE READ)

We thank you for supporting SURGE and we are certain some of you may feel sort of confused and/or have questions pertaining to the status of the coin and we'd like to take the time to answer your questions as well as clear-up any rumors that may have been floating around.

Here is an short FAQ feel free to post your questions on this thread and we will add them to this FAQ as we go.

What is going on with SURGE at the moment?

Our developers Surge_Dev are currently out of the state handling business pertaining to an different project they were hired for and are scheduled to return tomorrow (Monday, April 14th 2014). While they were away our in-house marketing & public relations team got together to discuss the future of SURGE, We began to contact our extensive list of merchants & online businesses whom have an history of supporting crypto-currency as well businesses found locally to us.

To our surprise we received many positive responses & great feedback in regards to our project, However we encountered an issue. Many merchants stated they would be willing to accept Surge Coin's however it would require us to have an 'Instant-Payment-Notification' system which would allow merchants to process transactions easily, Being that our devs were away completing there freelanced contracts we were forced to contact CoinPayments.net, Unfortunately this delayed our plans because CoinPayments selects coins based on amount of votes and not knowing this was the case... Well we were left with no other choice but to pause everything until the developers returned.

To Vote for SURGE on CoinPayment please visit the following link, It would help us greatly: https://www.coinpayments.net/vote

Why did it take you so long to respond?

As stated above, After receiving news that we needed an IPN system and having no other choice but to contact CoinPayments and ask for coin placement, Our staff got discouraged however we continued to ask our supporters for votes via Twitter/Forum & Official Website with no results. Our developers made a mistake upon leaving they forgotten to leave us the login details to the Bitcointalk account, Which caused an delay in our response.

Was the IPO payment ever made? What about giveaway & bounties?

All IPO recipients should've been paid as of April 10th, If you have not then we urge you contact us immediately at: contact@surgecoin.info
As for SURGE giveaway & bounties, We were only able to distribute and pay-off an small amount of members due to our devs being away we do not have access to the system where the SURGE coins for distribution are stored. However giveaway & bounty distribution will be resumed as soon as we are given access to the stored coins.

Was this a scam?

NO! Absolutely Not, We apologize for the misunderstanding but SURGE isn't leaving anywhere any-time soon. Our team has been working extremely hard to have SURGE adopted locally as well as provide merchants with the necessary tools needed to support our coin. We understand there was confusion within our supporters about the coins status, however we want to make this clear to everyone.

When we began #SURGE it was with an vision of becoming the only coin catered to merchants, Our goal was and always will be assisting small business grow however the development process of many of our tools & blueprints take time and this is an process we cannot rush.

What can we expect in the future for SURGE?

Here is an short but comprehensive list of updates & features you will be expecting for SURGE!

  • Further Merchant Adoption & Extensive Array of Merchants
  • SURGE Instant-Payment-Notification
  • Coin Placement on Major distributors and/or local retailers
  • SURGE v.2 Wallet will be optimized & redesigned
  • Minted SURGE coins available for distribution. (FREE to our IPO holders)
  • SURGE Charity Foundation "Surging The Thirst"
    and many more...
We Thank You for taking the time to read this post & apologize for the misunderstanding as well as inconveniences our delay has caused.
We understand there may be questions in-regards to the legitimacy of this account and post, Which is why we have advised our devs to update the thread as soon as they've arrived to avoid any further confusion. Thanks for understanding!

EDIT: Fuck this.

If you have an actual legit and polite question contact me via PM or post in this thread and I will reply. As for the trolls, go back to bridges im done with you.

Hashcoin is running strong and is here to stay! Smiley

Oh and BTW I am single person not a corporation or some group of investors. I actually hate corporations so Hashcoin will always be free of company-related strings and puppets. This is a no bullshit coin.

Dev, I think you are right about big hashers being late to the party. I mined from the start with one 6850, that gives me 1m in X11. Found about 30k coins. I know a lot of blocks were found during first 3-4 hours, but was this instamine? I don't think so, this was one of the best ninja lunches where small hashers had a chance. I do feel sorry for $10k rig farmers. Their equipment costs as much as a car and they are forced to pick crumbles now . Of cause they are pissed. Please don't forget that coin concentrated in hands of the few is worth nothing. Just ignore these insults, true followers are just quietly mining. I am one of those.

edit: BTW not selling for a couple of months at least

I'm not a big hasher.  I was going to mine this coin, looked at the ANN, asked about some issues that were raised, and ended up getting an immature rant as a reply.

You might have 30k coins good for you.  Nobody wants to but them so you have no other choice but to hold onto them.  It's obvious that all the cheerleaders are the people that instamined this coin.  You want to believe that the coins that you are holding are going to make you some money.  So do the holders of those other 4 million coins that nobody wants to buy.

Good luck  is all I can say.

I'll leave you're thread since you can't handle the truth.

The best response is no response.

They are just hating on coins for their own reasons. Sorry this had a more fair launch (un-announced with no IPO) than all the other coins.

Who questioned the validity of the launch?  I questioned the instamine and the 4,100,670 coins out of a total 44,000,000 That have been mined in less than six days.

And you're right.  The best response is no response if all your going to do is ignore the questions, dismiss people as haters, go on a profanity laden rant, threaten legal action against the forum, etc...

Just sold all my 45k hiros for 0,32BTC yeah ... Im out, if I see volume BC at mintpal, I thing hiro is not able to have 2600BTC volume at least year from now, if someone can wait year , I wish him good luck

This is what I do not understand. You had 45k coins and you see the price is low. 0.32 BTC is not something you cannot afford to lose and also this current price has been stagnant for days so probably it will not go any lower. Having all this in mind, WHY, oh WHY would you sell your coins this low instead of leaving them in your wallet for a couple more weeks/months, WTF is the reason you would accept that loss?

People just have no patience and everybody wants to earn 100 BTC in a few days time.

Maybe because they see the writing on the wall and want to get what they can.  I was mining right at the ninja launch and sold everything at 0.00004950.  Made some money and glad I did.  Just look on coinmarketcap.  When coins fall into the abyss it's unlikely they will rise up.  This isn't a new coin on the rise.  It's an established coin on the decline.  Leaving coins in your wallet for another weeks/months would likely mean that you would get absolutely nothing.

Maybe you want to watch money evaporate but some of us have seen how crypto works and get out when it's time.  I bet many people wish they would have sold at 0.00004950 like I did.

Is there any truth to what scam_exposer has said?

It's pretty much spot on (with a slight hateful tone). There's really no reason to waste any hashing power on such a failed launch. As soon as the price goes up even a bit, people will dump this coin.

I'm going to have to agree with you.  After looking into scam_exposers claims I have come to the conclusion that they were for the most part correct.  There is no way that this coin has any future with the huge instamine that the dev wants everyone to just overlook.  Answering legitimate questions with "lol" is not acceptable.  This isn't some game.  At least not to me.  That attitude alone is a red flag.

Darkcoin had the same difficulty issues in the beginning but the dev was able to fix it.  There was still a significant amount of coins mined that people are complaining about today.  The only reason Darkcoin is able to ride out the storm is because of Evan Duffield the full time developer and creator of DGW and Darksend.  People know he's a competent developer not a copycat.  This coin has nothing and is just waiting to copy Evan Duffields work.

I'll pass in hashcoin.

Good luck

Okay the amount of hate here actually pisses me off, because I work just as hard as any other coin developer on these trash-talking forums. Hashcoin isnt just a copy paste from Darkcoin, if it is was the simple to make coins there would be a lot more than 230+ coins...Hashcoin utilizes several top of the line features from different coins not just Darkcoin, Also I am not sure why the random guy above is ranting about DGW being broken? DGW V2 was implemented from the start and has worked just fine, The only reason a fix was released was to patch up any possible bugs after block 34,000...I am not a scammer or whatever you guys have all these nicknames for. I have been into crypto since Bitcoin was $5.00 USD a coin. I am a developer, I might not have a degree like Evan or other devs, but I still know what I am doing and how to fix/add new solutions. The coin isn't just waiting to copy Darkcoin's work either, this coin is already stable enough to be left alone forever, but the whole reason Darkcoin was mainly created was for DarkSend (Anonymous Transactions), which wouldn't be a bad idea to add to Hashcoin, and no it wouldn't be very complex to integrate either. X11 and Darksend are the future of cryptos, so why do you think Hashcoin would sit back and let itself become outdated? Well its not, It will continue to progress forward.

I talked a lot of shit to scam_exposer, because for one it was my first time being on these forums in a long time with my first coin release, I then saw him trolling the hell out of my threads. I am not some pussy highschooler, so yes I threatened and told him what the hell was up, because it seemed to be representing this forum in a whole and obviously needed to be put in his place as he does not know me, I do not know him, he didn't even try to give this coin a chance, hes flamed it from the beginning like a little troll. No respect for him or anything he has to say, he obviously does need a good smacking around to learn not to talk to people that way. Most people talk shit on the internet, but keep it at reddit or facebook, not on a forum that should be professional and liable to each other.

I feel like there is so much hate on Hashcoin because I created something you all couldn't and you are mad that I have the ability to create something from nothing and it actually works. The people that are whining are most likely people that came late with big miners and can no longer instamine, or users that would rather hurt the community in general than help by making false accusations and trying to deface other peoples work. This community is a joke and I have no respect towards the assholes on this forum.

Im not going anywhere, I post more than most devs do, and show the trolls even more respect than a lot do. Im not some fly by night coin dev. Shit, Scam_Exposer is such a douchebag he even posted a real life picture of me and my information all over my last thread, which I could actually take major legal action against bitcointalk and scam_exposer if I wanted to, but I am not, and as you can see from my picture, if you talked shit to me in real-life you better be ready to throw down.

Off with the fakes, trolls, and haters. Where is all the love at? Hashcoin is going stronger and is growing stronger everyday even with the hate! Smiley

http://www.hashcoin.me/news/2500-hash-for-a-new-logo/ - Contest for a new coin logo is still going, Win 2,500 HASH!

Hashcoin is here forever and aint going anywhere. HASH ON!

On and I live in America, so as a professional, or as a coin developer. I really don't have to follow any rules, so unlike other developers if you talk shit, you will get shit back. I dont put up with little ranting trolls that have nothing better to do than whack it, judge coins, and their developers; instead of just talking directly and actually asking legit questions.

Your post just proves my point.  Instead of addressing my concerns regarding the instamine you post an unimpressive biography and then go on a tirade about some prick called scam_exposer that was correct in most of what he posted.

Posting more than most devs doesn't mean a thing if they are just meaningless rants and complaints about anyone that questions the validity of your coin.

What's really disturbing is that you would actually suggest taking legal action against bitcointalk.  If this was my site I would ban you and delete every one of your posts.  Your coin would be nothing without this site.  Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

If you want love you'll never get it with your immature attitude.  Maybe you should take a break from crypto and come back when you've grown up a bit and can present yourself as a mature adult and not some high school kid.

I'm done here.

Good luck.

Some stats:

Coin launched approximately 22 hours ago
LGC network hashrate (estimate):   1.19 GH/s
p2pool  pool rate:   112.14 MH/s
Network block difficulty:   16.592
Block 1326

The difficulty adjusted perfectly with the hashrate.  No instamining at all.  That was as flawless a launch as I have seen.

Is there any truth to what scam_exposer has said?

Not really, he has blown everything out of proporation by far, I would take everything he says with a grain of salt. lol

Hmm, OK.  But there seems to be some truth to what he was posting.  I was thinking of mining but I read all that stuff and when I checked the block explorer is shows almost 4 million coins mined out of a total of 44 million.  That's a lot of coins in five days. Almost ten percent.  And then when I look at the exchanges they're loaded with coins and no buying activity.

Good luck.

Yep that is expected of any new coin...lots of miners get coins early on if they are top of it. A lot of the exchanges are loaded but at higher values for when HASH does reach that buy/sell point. Trading activity is still way too early to judge the coin because of it, we are only on four smaller exchanges. Also the 4 million coins that are mined are from current/past miners that had a good amount of hashrate and got in early, there is still over 40,000,000 coins left, which is still far more than what Darkcoin will ever produce (22 million)....So I wouldn't come to such harsh conclusions this early in its life.

Fair enough about the exchanges.  It does take time for many coins to start trading at any significant volume.  My concern was regarding the coins already mined.  10% mined in five days is still alot.  That's going to effect the price for a long time.  Maybe I'll just buy some at 0.00000260 and hold on to them for awhile just in case.
If you want an idea of what to compare the HashCoin insta-mine to look at HiroCoin. Hiro is also an X11 coin with a large insta-mine. 6M coins out of a total of 672M were insta-mined in the first 15,000 blocks set at an intentionally low diff, way more than 10% of the total initial supply of coins during the first week of mining. The difference is Hiro was ninja launched with no prior announcent at 2:00 AM Eastern US time/ 7:00 AM Europe time, resulting in those that new about the launch ahead of time and the few that happened to be there at launch to be able to accumulate an obscene amount of coins. In contrast HashCoin was fairly launched with a pre-announcement so everyone could participate.

Fair launch or not.  10% of total coins in five days is a problem that will stay with this coin for a long time.  That's just too many coins that fast.  It would be different if this coin had a high number of total coins but at 44,000,000 total coins the amount of coins in circulation is too much too fast.  It dilutes the value.  And since the coin is still easy to mine I assume that's what anyone wanting the coin is doing.  No need to buy on an exchange when its so easy to mine.

I wish you all luck with this coin but I can't find a path to any kind of rise in price anytime soon.  If anything the price will drop as more people try and dump coins they recently mined or those holding tens of thousands that are waiting for the price to rise lose patience and dump them for whatever they can.

scam_exposer is an obvious prick but there was some truth to what he was ranting about regarding this coin.

Ye for me too, just joined to a pool

but how lucky that all network hash in 1 place making bottle neckle. so i'm still got blocks with solo mining until now Smiley did you get prob that wallet slow or stop synching while solo mining so all founds not accepted and needed to close and reopen wallet again ?

can you say that in English too?

With regards to the wallet I think they mean that it stops syncing if you have it open and you must close and reopen to get it to sync.  I have the same issue.  I noticed that p2pool was finding blocks but they were not showing in my wallet.  I closed and reopened the wallet and it showed it was several hours behind.  Then it was bam bam bam! as all the coins started hitting my wallet.  I have had to do this numerous times.

I thought it was strange that you put virtualcoin in the first list for your poll even though it just launched.  Then I go over and browse the virtualcoin thread and see you're over there pumping the coin. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=557946.msg6193286#msg6193286  And a brand new account as well. Like I asked in my first post on this thread.  Is this a poll or are you promoting.  I found the answer.

Just a friendly reminder:

People need to spread the hash around.  Preferably to p2pool since it's better for the coin.  Tales has 67% of the hashrate.  I was mining there in the beginning but moved my 30mh to p2pool to help balance out the hash.  p2pool has found 11 blocks in the last hour at 100mh.  Tales has found 40 at 500mh.  So p2pool is finding more blocks based on hashrate.  It takes awhile to start getting full rewards but you continue getting rewards long after you stop mining.  p2pool goes straight to your wallet when a block is solved.  You'll get just as many coins mining on p2pool and you'll be spreading the hashrate out.

What about DarkCoin?  It has some of the best innovation and new features and everyone's copying it.  It definitely belongs in a poll of best coin of 2014.

Community Coin
Nxt Coin
Vert Coin
Dark Coin

added.
I added some initial coins based on popularity I saw in Announcements (Altcoins) today. We will keep adding on coins...

Now I can vote.
