I'm stuck as well.  Deleted everything and still no luck.  It looks like I'm not the only one.

why do you guys dump so hard ? the coin is hard to mine already.

Because people are ignorant.  If they waited maybe even a day the price would likely be higher.  You have to just forget about these clowns and their nickel and dimes that they think are big money.
1725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) Fair & FREE Distribution | Pure PoS | Join Community on: April 14, 2014, 12:37:45 PM
People look at this, there are not many (500 early adopters) that are mostly old members that already have seen a lot in cryptoworld and most of them will likely hold long also even buy more right now and later (I did so). Also soon there will be multipool that will drive the price higher very easily. So I think it is really pretty good opportunity to buy now as much as you can before the price explosion that will cover the sky around our crypto wild west.

i am quite old and active member too. Didn't get any comms yet.

I have no idea why, you should contact to dev.

quite weird if you ask me. even the shills here are getting their coins. A few pages back. A guy bragged how his shill accounts got coins

You need to be active here in the thread and work towards development of the community regularly to become a candidate for the stake. Just being a old member is not going to cut it.It's upto the dev's to decide and choose members who would work for COMM's progress and long term development and not just dump them.
Wish you all the best for receiving the stake.

As for the shill accounts . One or two mistakes could be made .The dev is human after all.
Some shills could have done a mighty good job to bypass the strict checks imposed by the dev but i think there would be very few such cases.

Overall the distribution system is fairest we have seen in the crypto community so far.

well, i decided to take a user named ysbysb2000 from the stakeholders list.

He never did post anything on here, and he is not even a active number of btctalk. Just an early adopter. so that means early adopters are bound to get their coins even if they are active or not??

This is only one username. I can give you a few more.

Why would an inactive member get coins?  The rules were pretty explicit.  I read them even though I don't qualify due to lack of posts.

Why are so many people selling on the exchanges?  Their wallet address is known and can be looked at through block explorer and the dev will find out they are dumping and not give the second round of coins to them.  This is really strange.

second round coins? does that mean one account will get 2 rounds (2m coins)??

That's the way I understand it.  I'm not in any round though, I've just been following the thread for a little while.  The whole thing is strange.  I don't feel comfortable buying into this.  If I miss out then so be it.  It just seems like a lot of buzz and now a lot of cheap coin and btc flowing to unknown entities.  It's strange.

dev has given away a huge amount of coins to people already. It was better if there was a public ledger of who got how many coins. It'd be easier to check

Yes it would but since I've got no skin in this game I'll just watch quietly from the sidelines.  I think my skepticism is known.

Now what should I mine?  Decisions decisions.

we need more voters, any have idea?

So the goal is to get listed on as many exchanges as possible so the people that got the free coin can sell it?  This is too bizarre.  Something doesn't seem right.

Yes this is indeed strange.  I was thinking about buying but I'm getting a funny feeling about this.

This is really strange.  All this buzz has generated a buying frenzy for this cheap coin that is being dumped on the exchanges.  Even at those cheap prices it's generating a lot of btc.  I hope this ends well.  I'll just leave it at that.
1732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: BEST COIN OF 2014 on: April 14, 2014, 08:34:39 AM
I love it.  The OP started this to pump virtual coin and it's turned into a comm lovefest.

I can tell you, In last week I've had 2 separate forum accounts which have been hacked, both are from 2011.
They are now being used to fervently promote this so called 'community coin'. Take from that what you will.
Undoubtedly this sort of tactic is nothing new but for sure there are groups who are putting some serious work into shilling and promo on this particular coin.
and you cannot use that as a accurate gauge of true sentiment. many of these votes are fake and not at all representative of reality.

I hear you there.  There are definitively groups of people working together and coordinating their efforts to promote their endeavors on this forum.  It's typically the loudest groups that you need to stay away from.  I don't understand why I should care about community coin.  A group of people that all got a million coins and now they want to pump it up.  They're already tripping over each other to dump their free coins for whatever they can get.  I'm not saying that the coin won't be successful but many of the original recipients will have sold their coins before they have any real value.

People on poloniex tripping over each other to sell their coins for a cheap bottle of wine.  It's ridiculous but it happens every time.  I don't know why I even bother mining.  I should just wait and scoop up the cheap coins from the dumpers.  You wonder why people even bother mining if they just dump for so cheap.  What's the point?

When did this happen?

Network block difficulty:   33.010

LGC network hashrate (estimate):   2.36 GH/s

Please don't accuse me without any proof. Voting is done by users, not me. Do not associate me with any coin, I am not interested in promoting coin, like you are trying to.

Let the users choose which coin is popular by voting, don't force your opinion or hidden agenda.

On April 13, 2014, 03:42:22 AM you made the following post on the virtualcoin thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=557946.msg6193286#msg6193286

You started this pol on April 13, 2014, 03:54:51 AM with virtualcoin as the second coin out of four or five in the list of options.

I'm not trying to force my opinion or hidden agenda on anyone.  I actually thought it was funny.  You should have just left it alone.  It's obvious what you were trying to do.  I hope virtual coin succeeds.  Next time don't be so sneaky.  That's all.

Enjoy your poll.

Just wanted to say that http://us.altmine.net:8652/ has been a great p2p pool for me so far.

It's like someone said, your payments start slow, and in small increments, as you mine they increase.  At first I was disappointed with my take and thinking that it was not adding up, I did not panic, I let it play out and sure enough the post about the payments increasing as you mine was true.  Getting some nice returns.

For anyone interested.   In less then 20 hours(19h40m) I have received 290 of these coins using 5 270x.  I am not sure if this is right for this coin, but it seems reasonable to me based on my original calculations.

It was also stated that the payments continue for a bit after I stop mining, so the take may be much better.

Yes you have to be patient with p2pool.  You'll continue to get payments for awhile after you stop mining.

Looks like Procoin beat you to the punch regarding a cryptocurrency focused on businesses.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=511678.0  The Pro Business Cryptocurrency That’s Easy To Use.  http://www.teamprocoin.com/

eww that coin looks like a 12 year old made it.

Not really, it looks just as professional as this coins website.  I wasn't trying to compare websites/logo's.  I was just pointing out that Surge isn't the only coin catering to businesses.  It's already being done.

Yeah very profesional dey cant even code there own site http://www.elegantthemes.com/demo/?theme=Divi

Not any different than many of the wordpress theme sites that a lot of coins use.  But that has nothing to do with the point I was making regarding a business focused coin.

What does a business focused coin even mean to you?

More than just a fancy website.  Hey, I don't have any interest in procoin or surgecoin.  I was just pointing out that there is already a coin that is business focused.

From their website:
Businesses of all sizes can benefit from using ProCoin to take payments. ProCoin uses its own fast network to make buying and selling easy.

Sounds like what you're coin is intended to do.

Sorry to disrupt your thread.  I wish you the best with your endeavors.
