383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Traceable Are Bitcoin Wallet Addresses? on: April 10, 2015, 12:45:49 PM
You are stupid if you think bitcoin mixers can save your ass. Only cryptonote protocol (Monero) can be said to be truly private at this time

Altcoins that have high market cap could be called important, simply because people are investing a lot of money in them.

No, you have to careful, some coins like Dash have 50% of supply locked in third party masternodes causing artificial scarcity and artificial marketcap

You have to be very careful and smart to avoid getting burned
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alternative cryptocurrency on: April 08, 2015, 09:16:04 AM
99.9% of them are CRAP, here is what the admin has to say

The altcoin sections are very popular, so I'd like to support them. I don't think that they do anything to hurt the other sections. If you're annoyed at how they clutter the "show unread posts since last visit" page, then you can add those boards to your ignore boards list. (I'm thinking of changing this page so that you can click a button next to each thread to ignore the board it's in.)

I'm not usually interested in altcoins myself, but I can see how people can enjoy them. Most altcoin "investing" is a lot like gambling. I can see how trying to navigate and manipulate these tiny markets could be fun for a lot of people. These pump-and-dump altcoins aren't really competitors to Bitcoin: they're really a way of using your bitcoins to gamble. There are also a handful of technologically interesting altcoins like Monero, which I think are very useful for testing new ideas that might one day be incorporated into Bitcoin.
390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Violates Principle of Fungibility on: April 08, 2015, 08:42:02 AM
Diginomics is a pay for article shit site

A short time back, they had a same article about fungibility. In that article they had talked about currencies with higher fungibility. In this paid article they just have Darkcoin/Dash being shown as a competitor to Bitcoin

Lets create a biased paid media blacklist

Is it me or the average Darkcoin/Dash shill has really low mental capabilities?

Any mature person can judge that most of these shills are some hyper teens enjoying trolling and making pocket change
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptonote currencies on: April 07, 2015, 09:31:13 PM
You mean using a trusted third party? This is hands down the shilliest thread I've ever seen.

Haha, yea go use third party masternodes for privacy
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ► ► ► Cryptonic PHYSICAL MONEROj for SALE on: April 07, 2015, 09:29:54 PM
Dear friends,

Which slogan do you think is more attractive for the new 2015 coins?

1. Secure. Private. Untraceable.

or in Esperanto:

2. Sekura. Privata. Inrastreable.

Both are fine for me, what will be on the front?
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency - 0.8.8.6 on: April 07, 2015, 01:38:24 PM
He is doing Monero PR work  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PRLuaD-qVQ) yet he is completely clueless about technical aspects. Had he mined one single block on the testnet he would have known the answer. If he cant research this on his own then he is no good, a core team PR should know better.

If David is no good, can you please step up and do the PR work?

If not, kindly Fuck off

I'd bet that BFX started accepting DRK after possibly some underhanded negotiation convinced BFX that accepting DRK would posture BFX as the leading premier exchange of the fancy newfangled anonymous coin of the future, supported by certain DRK whales' (ahem, Otoh) assurances to make the market.

Moncada [masternode] openly stated in via thread that dark is on bitfinex only because of him. He further said he knows big names and can make dark reach places

What is so huge in that? Often developers talk about other projects. He even said Monero technology is cool, so what?
