1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ★LiteBar★ [LTB] - Rare Coin - Growing Fast - Now on CRYPTSY! on: December 07, 2014, 05:46:13 PM
*** Update ***

Managed to sync litebar with old wallet up to block # 115054 Sat Nov 29 00:57:45 2014 (client version v0.6.3.0-g2d35dc4-beta)

Next I am switching to latest wallet with neoscrypt support to get pass that to the current point in the blockchain

It is a valuable exercise to recover coin blockchain (after hard fork) , I have more than 1 K LTB and I am not selling even single one of them

Next: new wallet with neoscrypt (version: v0.6.3.2-g2d35dc4-LTB) so far nodes are timing out... estimated total blocks is reporting to be: 115054

new wallet last block reports 112553

could use some help here...

do you people know what the heck are you doing ?  please don't touch sophisticated technology such as is blockchain and also neoscrypt with basic knowledge of software engineering next time  Cool

fresh new wallet gives following exception:

litebar-qt: src/main.cpp:2119: bool LoadBlockIndex(bool): Assertion `block.hashMerkleRoot == uint256("0xca067cd91ba9b86363401c7d7dc08a43fed44c3500b3ec62d4c5630f3baf1604")' failed.

I rarely and with pain write crypto off.. few more tries both Unix and Mac... stubborn sob as I am but feel I am dealing with lower level skilled individuals unfortunately...

anyways, new wallet at

Current number of blocks: 112553
Estimated number of blocks: 115054
Last block time: Wed Nov 12 12:03:28 2014

outside this I don't know what else to say maybe this: have mercy on your soul  Cool

question, are there any "solid" BURST assets one should consider right now ? thanks in advance

also http://burst.cryptoport.io/ is down

right now http://asset.cryptomining.farm/

thanks makes sense, I mean pool hash profit share... it is a good start.. thank you

bonus time

bonus worked perfect! great and honest pool, thank you, its good I know many disagree but distribution of coins is crucial!

about the bonus, yes it is verified, hundreds and multi thousand payouts occurred thru various accounts.. great
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ★LiteBar★ [LTB] - Rare Coin - Growing Fast - Now on CRYPTSY! on: December 07, 2014, 02:46:35 AM

clearly seen who loves and appreciates his coin with the same amount of coins

nice, coin is going strong one of the strongest crypto out there, max supply/reward per block is holding well

I see that website had been activated again, checking pools and coin difficulty ...

I see that git wallet source has been changed a month ago.. cool, recompiling, pools seem to be not active so people are mining this solo.. will check difficulty thru wallet console...

synching wallet (recompiled without a problem from latest git master on Mac).. since July this year.. see if any nodes are active, I am sure they are, if you have most current litebar.conf please post here

otherwise this is a nice stealthy project with very law supply and updated as early as last month

o nice!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=840872.new#new

will push this investigation till tomorrow though.. speak soon

yeah.. working version of "litebar.conf" is needed so wallet can sync and towards neoscrypt

thanks in advance!

nice "lift" there on the exchange Today, and thanks for picking this up and keep on going

I know it is an old news but Block Reward at 0.5 is just awesome, did not follow what happened, a bit strange if you ask me for I thought team back then was going really strong (skilled in C++ and enthusiastic) but such is life.. will revisit later, holdings are untouched

this will do well based on humor alone, not mining it because rigs are tied up in "serious" coins but you should mine this, this will do well short term probably then there is going to be OMG and poof

love niche' coins (but very selective about), thanks for the opportunity, you will do well, lots of people love metal music

there could be a future where crypto coins will be used for asset exchanges such as concert tickets/fan clothing/records/and trips to concerts around the world

someone found a way to package plots in tor network , which would spread like a wildfire part of big tor is some real app and mining software might not red flag virus scanners, tor gets delivered unpacked by a poor and unsuspecting individual , part of the app is mining software that taps to tor file, but these oscillations.... mining software might coordinate activities of all clients notify all to turn and and off to give impression of "human activity" at work

logic here why tor is because tor files often are big tera bytes big and they would escape scrutiny

anyone knows if blago mining app is detected by virus scanners ?

what is even more funny is that http://cryptomining.farm/ will also give out big bonus to "it" as it will not know how to differentiate  Smiley

if its really botnet , new PoC coin will have a hard time fighting them. They pretty much own the whole network. It's not easy to build up network size for the first couple of weeks. Therefore, botnet is consider good news ? Botnet will be a good anti clone ? Or perhaps those botnet owner is burst developer ?

it is a human being (with > 100 accounts, cloned and prepared in advanced in quite premeditated way, but by a person probably with access to some VPS at a BIG expense or he/she managed to inject plots in illicit way and bypassed sys admin audit), and he is closely watching your reactions, CPU coins botnets are proven to exists, POS type of botnets I can not imagine being the case, someone made me laugh here suggesting utilization of browser html5 storage , funny.. botnet would have to in stealth inject massive plot file and do so without system admins knowing that (and storage is valued and monitored) maybe some data center(s) failed to notice their storage being suddenly depleted lol

now there are botnets runnins on exchanges manipulating prices of many alt coins , that is a separate problem

anyways interesting drama is unfolding here , stopping calling him/she an idiot because there is nothing wrong with making money, it is just that he/she might lose shirt in the process before that happens

all you need to do is plot a small file (relatively speaking), say 50 GB. so 100 computers can add up to 5TB and 1000 bots give you 50TB. this is a low back of the napkin estimate.

but a "smart" operator would code it up so that it takes up say half of available disk and with large drives out there, you're talking several hundred GB per plot file are very likely. you can plot say a 1000 files across 1000 computers all for 1 account you can have them setup in proxy/pool mining.
the large swings could be computers being turned off and on in different time zones?  once a file is plotted, mining is pretty much unnoticeable.

anyway, this is possible, but I'm probably wrong

but the network size oscillates 15T then 8T and 7T then back up again... and all at once all these computers would have to turn on and off at the same time

drama continues

also we can not tell IP (because it is solo) if "it" would connect to the pool, would be different we would know immediate what is going on

also not just weekend, weekdays too, workplace possibly , supercomputing data center and virtual attached storage partitioned, plots sneaked in (but not the full) also I would expect to be 20P right now and growing if unlimited, so there is a definite limit to what "it" is doing, pretty funny all this, at 20 P all others mining activities would halt to the stand still.. so that is why "it" might also not do it (oscillations are like giving a carrot, teasing), yeah folks "IT" is playing you all like a violin

also "IT" might be moving plots around (which takes time) to avoid detection

OMG!
I get 680 burst from pool.burstcoin.io on 4TB plots for last 24 hours!

that is a lot, congratulations
Not really I was getting 2k to 2.5k solo mining until someone hacked my burst id, and stole all my burst coins. So I decided these past 2 weeks to move over to pool mining with my 6tb and make a whole new account with a huge password this time, and Im getting about the same 500 to 700 burst a day. Im thinking about switching back to solo mining. I was doing better. there.

o sorry to hear that... do not switch to solo all by now are aware that someone (I called him/she and idiot because he/she has taken over the network, now it seems 24/h, we see spike of 15 peta bytes and at that level, 10 TB will produce fractional cents daily while risking drive failure over extended period of time)

not being negative at all it is a very unfortunate situation (it would much different and healthy if by the action of 100's or 1000's real user accounts  such a network capacity was produced), checking price (I also said this situation will drive price down to 2 digits, before that you might see subtle price movement (sell orders from multiple accounts but originating from one individual)

123 sat.. high price only because not even idiot is selling, very likely being in the negative FIAT if he would to do so idiot is waiting and hoping but I doubt he/she will wait for very long  as there is real danger of POC clones next year and then really 2 digits super fast, best of luck to you and have a wonderful weekend

thank you that you saying this the second or the third time here.

have you any prove for that?

Someone else has already proved that (so I promptly disconnected my drives. it does not makes sense mining without at least 200 T to 500 T and this is too much for this stage of coin existence not to mention expense)

as fas as clones.. good think about that is diversification and re-use of hardware plus competition sparks innovation

below from couple of days ago

"

Here is my calculation:

Total blocks in the last 24 hours: 350
Blocks found by these new solo miners in the last 24 hours: 123 (35,14%)

Total blocks in the last 48 hours: 708
Blocks found by these new solo miners in the last 48 hours: 259 (36,58%)

Total blocks in the last 72 hours: 1069
Blocks found by these new solo miners in the last 72 hours: 354 (33,16%)

These numbers are equal with the diff increase in the last few days (approx. 35% - 40%).

"

how can you be sure, thats one person?

and if, why should this affect the coin negativ?
Everybody wants to make money with mining. Noone makes such an invest, that have no ROI.....

statistics tells me that statistics, and ROI apparently idiot does not care or rather risks collapse and failure or the opposite quite profit taking , maybe the strategy is this, I will squeeze the network so that people will purchase coins instead of mining prices will rise (substantially) and I will sell coins for quick profit and then exit the whole operation (except this is not working,, so he/she is facing BIG financial ruin),  in any case monopoly has been established but at very low prices! but seems the indvidual is pushing for even higher accumulation , but then clones are his next biggest risk.. but hey ain't ma' money!

anyways.. see you another time.. please do not see this as negativity but rather due diligence , thanks!

On can attempt to purchase coins, at 123 sat it is rather low, so like multipools mining something else and buying BURST
but danger of course is the "2-digit" , but please everyone should do their own due diligence and this is not FUD

that is a lot, congratulations, however top address collects 1000's per hour, really healthy situation, you might as well put that 4TB to some good use, otherwise u spin it for 0.001 cents a day (and every spin wears its magnetic surface off), checking current market price... let's see

have strong position in this, this is going to be a big one might go to 1$ and above like really fast, many alt coins will, be patient be careful on manipulation by bots between exchanges arbitrage it is what is happening more or less for many coins right now
+1 bots are fucking bitches ...
it's hard to predict a price, for the moment my brain is in Off position about CKC, i know it's gonna take months until it reach a nice value ( if it will ).

completely.. please read this, it was eye opening to me i had no idea that is because I am for the long term (decade and > long) I could not care less for intra day, intra day I make my money outside of crypto at the moment

"###
There is a bot that is ACTIVELY manipulating the price, quite effectively too. If you look at the price on bitcoinwisdom, you will see that there is a pretty even spread of asks all bunched together, within 10 satoshis!

About 5 BTC. This makes a barrier and also crowds out the orderbook so you can’t see what is really going on. It is also changing things several times per second to create the impression of a lot of activity. What it does is pushes the price down by clearing out small bids and making lower and lower asks.

Earlier there was about 10 BTC in 30+ orders around .0049 and 3 BTC between that and .008

So, there is no investor panic going on. It is just one guy running a bot. And he is doing this on many different coins.

His game is this.

Have the bot on bittrex and cryptsy, but run just one of them at a time. Create some FUD, push the price down on one (easier to create fear, especially in a bear market), then as people get convinced everybody is selling, they start selling. Remember this is just happening on one market. So soon the sell price on one exchange is lower than the buy price on the other exchange where the bot is idle. Guaranteed profits! Then the bots switch.

So first one exchange price is pushed down, arbitraged, then the other. Doing this it creates these mysterious price declines as we are making such good progress. All the way down to .005! But there was really very little for sale below .008 as this operation is being done on dozens of coins, so only so much budget per coin.

Now this bot is not caring about price at all. Whatever the price is, it just picks the exchange with the lower price, pushes it down until it can arbitrage. The arbitraging evens the price out and then the pushing starts again. Now this bot stays away from even a 1 BTC wall from what I have seen and certainly anything larger it stays about 10% away from. However if there is no big wall, it happily starts pushing the price down, even filling some orders if they are small enough.

These bots are probably on autopilot, so that means a clever person will be able to trick the bot.

opal = future

I would be interested to see how big % of Americans lets say know about crypto tech in general, it seems we have small % of traders raining havoc from time to time for short gains, which is fine it is free market, but since currenty % of people that will actually use this technology (and understand technology) outside of techies programmers and techy ethusiasts is very small, I worry 0 about the market at the moment

have a wonderful day and happy trading  Cool

one advice maybe and looking around various top teams I am scrutinizing constant. seriously don't rush, even under community pressure, take time develop features test them proper and have fun in the process, and community! suspend greed instincts once in a while  Cool
