btw there will be rush (POW rush) on this https://z.cash/ in September we wont have this problem as we wiil be way into POS and master node phase, also look at dash run at 12 and change now..  yeah so these POS problems are minor providing we stabilize

doubtful zcash will do POS or maybe, and if they do , this enterprise is tricky as we all see here, aaaaall coins trying to do this will have perturbations and we will be loong pass that
(it is not just codebase but network and out of sync wallets .. takes time to stabilize even with the fix.. dash due to how expensive it is i hiiighly doubt will do POS, investors would tear em apart on any single mistake...

1,200$ for dash master node... and I am very sure it will go much higher.. its a great architecture (master node based that is)  watching space close and see others will try to get into master node business.. it is complex... good!

one idea is to use testnet , test heck out of fork. premine test net with some POW (pre-fork), fork, POW again, then rollback , (dont need to be many wallets participating) then the trigger POS and probe the situation

update: installed new UI Mac wallet, block synced up perfect POS triggered  staking and off 10K collected 22 Dnet, moving onto updating my network of master nodes , stand by and yeah, thank you!

btw, and you all should be aware, got a word that electrical costs will go up dramatically, and POS wont be so much an optional tech feature but a must feature! anyways off to sync and rsync (my new bodies..)

due to excessive CPU consumption I am temporarily disabling master nodes, following creates unnecessary CPU cycles.. saving machinery for the time being and turning them off till the next update  (my intent is to run hardware for a very long time.. definitely will re-enable them to resolve below and cut CPU there heat intake , which wears the hardware if prolonged ...)

premature forcing off master nodes on the wrong fork could weaken the network.. saying that I have all nodes checking against correct fork

UI latest block is @ 260391 , staking is still not active

all master nodes are engaged and collecting their share, left around 10K in the UI wallet for POS test and compare

I would not go by intra day or even month price swings , the whole enterprise of cypto was never exclusively about making quick buck , it has to have applications and this does, sooo please continue, from my end I am your price support (I do this with many coins and often by the virtue of patience I come on the top)

a! and yes POS is good for the environment.. is one of the many reasons why it was invented in the first place

Update: all 45 master nodes have been upgraded to the latest git master, 0 problems thus far , wallet although I could compile from sources will wait for binaries from dev tomorrow

I see community is picking up the speed  also it is self moderating I have also noticed we have nice breakdown between different types of people, investors, hardware hackers, many "legends" too,

+1 , this could be lots of money at one point but +1 , believe there are 3 devs behind this at varying amount of contribution and time spent, and they all going very smart about how they do things, even patches are slow , just perfect, no rush from my side, as promised if this moves any serious direction upwards I will establish my own bounties

in the same situation as described above, problems are to be expected (technology behind dash and now custom POS code is complex) do your thing patch the wallet I have rsync scrypt ready , no big deal nothing got lost and we are moving forward

I took a quick look at transfer coin, it was (is) a good coin too, some ideas therein are definitely good and looking forward for some of the same things

been part of crypto for so long now.. prooobably the most important factor is gradual even if small improvements/testing and research and steady no matter how small progress, dash went from 50 cents to 10 dollars! because of that , that and innovation and their network is very stable, you do that and same will occur here, could be long months who cares , I hope no one here (yet) is trying to retire on premature selling at @pennies

I am seeing nothing wrong with master nodes, @ "blocks" : 259313   payment of ~22 dnet has occurred (per node) as per usual

(all 45 master nodes that I own have been upgraded 2 days ago) and when I say upgraded a) new git pull from master, b) compile c) remove all but wallet.dat and darknet.conf d) restart (repeat that 45 x with rsync of course or I would go nuts)

Wallet Mac UI is stuck at 259200 but let me re-download block/chain again from the ground up

an interesting log message (in wallet ui) says: 2016-08-07 23:18:14 ERROR: ProcessNewBlock() : bad proof-of-stake block signature

will let you know if above re-triggered full sync and hopefully POS, bbl

this is  bit funny but telling you on what's to come, on bittrex total # of DNET BTC that people are willing to sell is 18670.443 BTC and to purchase just approx ~7 BTC , made me smile there

soooo people stack up sell orders deep in the higher price range, and lower must be folks that still are in POW phase and get some cent level rewards which I always found amusing..

update: collecting for 46th master node, almost there short by 2K DNET would purchase remainder but bitterx went to maintenance mode with the wallet which is actually good, bad part is by tomorrow price is going up, soooo need just to be patient and wait for nodes rewards

cool, this is gonna be fun, I looove fact dev team is no hurry and no "luxury" features , just baseline solid network, POS and future anonymity enhancements , also believe wallet as said will have "trading ability" in real time thats very cool, wallet can do so much more... for sure

glad I mined heck out of dnet when it first started sold nothing and now I have decent size master node network
