looking good.. sending my Dark Credit for conversions, syncing both wallets.. the new wallet looks brand new

excellent, keep going, PM on your way dev with transaction data for the conversion

info send.. I believe person running the "show" is busy with a day job, however she or he knows what he/she is doing , knows how to operate crypto swap and wallet change at ease

see what happens, it is not so easy to fool investors as much as it was in 2014, so something has to happen here in terms of engineering or not..

I think the man lost his marbles, great trader though a natural... but this coin took a hit.. he needs to back it up some more and maybe merge with something else.. maybe.. domains/assets based crypto is a cool concept.. I only own 0.6 SYNC from like 8 month ago by mining when people went nuts

times are changing be careful

Peter Todd op Twitter has shared and commented an article by Andres Antanopoulos:
http://fee.org/freeman/detail/decentralization-why-dumb-networks-are-better

excellent article, thank you
845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VIA] ★ Viacoin ★ ~ the future of digital currency ~ ★ on: March 05, 2015, 04:13:24 PM
once it merged mining with LTC I could't no longer collect by hardware so I bought I also converted before large chunk of VIA to XCP and buried all deep underground

Todd contributed deep into core BTC protocol, this is enough for me, seems and he said that during interview that his largest mistake was instead of getting early on BTC he went to grad school instead, lol I disagree... very cool things are going to happen, I don't believe sidechains is something there is either desire for or strategically good for BTC

so "this" should go up at some point in time, probably when banking will try to unroll their own "versions" and then realize mistake and train traders to trade currency coins all across

Whats the story with the Mac-qt wallet??? Huh
MAC wallet:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/85sxqzokd88eaq1/Hansa-Qt.zip
I'm waiting some one MAC user download it and look all is fine.

Packet is virus checked by virustotal.com and clean.

so these are binaries. I gave you step by step instructions to build from git.. which is how coins are usually assembled.. these Mac instructions are not that trivial.. and some coins don't even have Mac wallet because of this

so much for proof of job  Cool

Would you pay a taxi driver for simply telling you how to get to your destination instead of taking you there?

trust me , it strengthens this crypto what I sent dev..

6775.00 HANSA bounty for mac wallet received, this is for community info as POJ (proof of job) is an integral part of this crypto coin

have a great day!
You welcome. Your work was good.
And that was paid from my personal wallet, not from community bounty coins.

simply wow.. this is a first one (dev sent from own wallet) have been doing this for over a year, hope you go places.. just don't drop it , coins that will win long term (and it could be years even decade +) will be these that stay consistent , and become very very valuable

Pity about the X11 algo. Time and time again it gets hash raped by the FPGA farms leaving most coins in the hands of one or two miners. This is contrary to the principle of broad based distribution. It will be too difficult and expensive to mine the coin after the first few hours.

Then I previously warned about doing a coin swap for Greencoins because this will put 6m coins into the market instantly. I see the warning was not heeded and the coin exchange is going ahead. The Greencoin holders have lots of bags that they currently cannot do anything with. As soon as the new coin hits the exchange and the price goes over 167 sats, they will dump the 6m. Some may even dump earlier because at least they can get something out where currently they can not get anything out. The 6m can almost be seen as a premine, with the premine in this case being handed to the public with no anti-dumping control like escrow. I cannot see any economic justification of doing a coin swap. Greencoin holders should rather take the hit on the nose and move on and start this coin from scratch.

The above means that there will be two highly concentrated groups of holders that will have the same objective and that is to sell to make a profit or to get something out. This gives a high risk of a dump fest and sell pressure that will kill the coin. I would suggest that you scrap the idea of doing a coin exchange and that you use a different algo than X11/13/15.

If you carry on like planned, fine, it is your coin, and there is a chance that you can actually pull it off successfully e.g. if the large farms look the other way or if the old coin bag holders all decide to hold and not to sell for at least 10 months or so. After doing a risk assessment though, the chances of the above scenario playing out is higher.

excellent write up one of best ever I have seen on BT

Sinse we have AMD raping the hash , Nvidia isn't so compatible. Would be some CUDA-Maxwell improvement ...

@go6ooo1212 dev is "busy" can not do this coin, but premine is very minimal, he did this for something much larger coming up, gut GPU coins will suffer from this predicament without exception, there is no fairness actually "AMD" developer could have gone and collected 1000 Supcoin really fast problem is that "market" knows this

the only chance here is "community" price is going to continue to plummet big time

here how funny it is actually.. although developer is a C++ expert but "busy" "I have new algo "pluck" he said" initially nvidia mining was enabled so we had reasonable pace.. some got to 100 coins some a bit more.. then AMD.. the "C++" experts also knows VIA codebase really well and borrowed few things from there as well.. it is all very typical

the same day! a clone has arrived.. someone copied this coin. and cloned it bit by bit.. premine was raised to 7000 but also max coin cap.. that person and "community" can not wait enough for bittrex to sell.. they are not hoping for super large profit but to unload 6000 coins so that could be several BTC.. which is like a 1000 dollars let say, they do can do this now with their eyes closed

bittrex probably will list it.. most of you know which coin, bittrex does not care as they will collect 10%  to 20% winners are exchanges not you

Is anyone using Blago's miner with vista 64 / windows 7?

I have two pc's and have tried it on both, but if running on either one all the
system ram 16GB gets eaten up and then it crashes, I can only get it to run
for about 20-40 mins.

Any ideas?

I read somewhere that it could be due to drive caching, not directly the miner itself.
Runarufu miner works well without ram issues, but wanted to compare performance.

You plotted with too big of a stagger size and it's eating it all when you mine. If you optimize the drives they wont eat memory.

Doesn't a plot optimizer make the stagger size as large as possible? Is there a tool that doesn't do this?

with CPU plotter and 16gb of ram you can plot with 50000 stagger...
it is enough!!!

and this,
without plot and then optimize!!!

50000 stagger killed my RAM at 16 ... but network deadlines are so short now it does not matter someone is putting in Peta drives online at fairly consistent manner ... it does not pay off for an individual to invest in new drives

thinking of buying few hundred dollars worth BURST actually right now, but missed it on Tuesday big time

i'm using win 7 64bit with 16gb ram and 17 4770...
no prob with CPU plotter and 50000 stagger size...

could be I was using GPU plot miner.. I simply had to act fast that was 2 months ago. now it really does not matter

it is like with VIA (no plug here) I mined VIA to a point and suddenly they merged mined with LTC and game over.. before that happened I bought great amount of that coin.. knowing kind of in advance this will happen (just by studying who is developing for that coin)

same here, stagger size is becoming meaningless, I mean it still could get you block faster (maybe) but it will be less and less

i'm not so expert..
nut i think more and more the network size/difficulty rise,
and less the stagger is important...

but this is just what i'm feeling,
i'm not the dev...

feeling is good, also take a look at the thread in some depth there are people in here that innovate (or helping from outside) like AT work, also, even if coin production drops to 100's it is imperative none of us stops mining.. it is easier with BURST because all one has to do is have external USB drives connected (not so easy with GPU/CPU coins as they "take over" systems) this is one of THE reasons I have entered this coin.. brb

concerns of outsiders are that drive space is "filled" with useful data for mining but useless for anything else.. this keeps Supernet guys worried at night.. but I dont share this concern so much.. I imagine designated drives to keep network secure, right now it is somewhat crazy for we all rush to accumulate but in the future one could imagine blocks of storage magnetic/optical securing the network , and people buying shares to these this is already is happening to a degree

Is the blockchain somehow stuck? I saw that Urays pool had a deadline of 11mins, but the round didn't finish, it's 21mins now. Also my deadlines for this round are extremely high..

no. we are in 13 Peta overall network capacity range. peeking at 15 .. coin production halted for many unless > 300 tera drives

completely normal behavior.. at the higher drive capacity (there is someone with > 1 Peta hardware doing this right now) people are engaging solo mining and take off blocks off the "market" so to speak. leaving you with 0 . sounds funny but it is the way it is

How much a burst-rig?

I say go online and search 6T drives they will be over 200$ so 200 T / 6 T is how many you need right now 33 drives > @200$ so that is just drives , you need RAM (for stagger) and somewhat stable (preferably Unix system) I say 10 grand all together, now.. you will be competing with people that have access to surplus and free hardware this is why you saw sell of > 2 million BURST and bargain price (killing myself over this.. because I would snatch the entire order)

@200T disk storage you will be lucky to collect several thousands of BURST a day Today (@10K $ investment this is rather funny right now) which would be fraction of your investment but you can not think short term

I say before the end of this year (much sooner probably) 10K $ investment to evaporate in terms of usefulness of hardware (disks maybe will be able to be reused or sold however people on ebay ain't stupid) watch ebay actually this year and search there for "used drives for sale" there will be hundreds this year but useless for BURST.. believe we will enter 20 Peta overall network capacity and much higher this year, coin production you will be lucky to get 1000 (that's a day) at very high disk storage capacity and then with block reduction it will be 100's  (a day as well) with further block reward reduction (10 a day will be what you will get, even at 300 or > tera drives, as people might be engaging large cloud farms in peta range which will probably the way to go in the future..) lucky thee that entered this coin 4 5 months ago.. also encrypt your wallets well my advice

I predicted bitcoin price, end of last beg this year , fall as far as my credentials are concerned

Nice comment , I follow BURST and XMG as well , they have real idea , algo , and value and at the right moment the market will explode Smiley

both are "protecting" investors interest long term.. seriously.. have a great weekend or whatever remains from it

btw.. the ATM, or lottery or API's to and from BURST.. is really great it will be important to fuse with other systems later, fusion must occur for wider adaptation.. no coin will be "alone" I think..

2,100,000 BURST was sold on Tuesday last week at 135 sat... and coin bounced back as if nothing happened.. something else..

you will all do very very well, whoever took that amount of BURST at that price.. congratulations! I missed it I can not not sit in front of terminal 24/7

coin continuous to be very difficult to mine.. I don't know about you but network capacity has really slowed down the entire thing, meaning coin rewards , also block reward decrease should be happening soon, it is now requirement so to speak to have 200 Tera drives to make a dent.. although all depends on the price.. pools should initiate "bonus" rewards to decentralize this a bit.. just my opinion

Good point , mate , I got some small amount of it Smiley

I see you have Magi as well.. I made a substantial buy few weeks back.. because and it is a bit funny.. I did not know about their algorithm which punishes network hash rate.. soo.. I went on mining.. and ooopsy I see 1 coin per day as projection and my system is rather strong (CPU/GPU/RAM).. so I jumped on an exchange and I made a substantial buy..

I looked at Magi because as BURST , it combats "syndicate" of people mining at an insane rate... and blocking decentralization to an extent

this as well as Magi and BURST were featured on a conference together few weeks back..

the only thing.. that might be an issue (but lower block rewards will elevate this) if someone has access to massive free drives (DC's ) which at the rate of sale of > 2 million BURST only this would make sense
