Hey, how long do your btc withdrawls take. I thought they were instant, but nothing seems to have moved for 2 hours now.

Hey shahadil,

We had sent funds to the hot wallet just a while ago and it seems to have just been confirmed now.
Do check if the withdrawal has happened for you as yet.

Yup, it came through about 5 min after i posted here. Thanks.

For coin secure,

I am an end user of your trading platform. I don't understand programming. Saw you have an Api. So how is it going to benefit me?
116  Local / India / Re: India's Best Bitcoin Exchange goes Live with Deposits & Withdrawals! on: May 08, 2015, 06:48:53 PM
I will say this again. make or break of an exchange in my opinion is speed of deposit and withdrawal. my last inr deposit of 1000 rupees took 3 days. or maybe it was more. dont remember. i do not like sending a mail or raising a support ticket every time i take an action on the website.

At 2330 at night i can do an imps transfer into btcx, buy the coins and be transferring the coins out by 2345. if you just want to hold my funds then i will go elsewhere. there seems to not be many options now, but speed is still available elsewhere.

This is the issue with igot, unocoin, coinsecure.

Btcxindia had a zero fee month last year. there volumes were the lowest for that month.

I will try deposit again. Lets see how it goes now. I am not saying credit the money immediately. But if you cant even credit the money on a working day at 10 am, then i seriously doubt where your priorities are.
117  Local / India / BTCXIndia Shutting Operation on: May 08, 2015, 02:30:23 PM
Just received this from BTCXIndia. What the hell is happening.

Quote
Dear Customer,

We regret to inform you that BTCXIndia is closing down it's bitcoin trading platform as of 20th of May 2015.

We have today been informed by our bank that they will no longer serve bitcoin businesses. We have investigated the possibility to operate through other banks, but it seems this is a general policy in India as of today.

Without a bank account, we can no longer operate as a business and we are thus forced to close operations.

BTCXIndia launched in May 2014 with the aim to offer a regulatory compliant trading platform, and have since served customers without any issues. We have been in close contact with banks and authorities to ensure we are as legally compliant as possible in a new industry, and today's news comes as a big shock to us all.

Business will conduct as normal until 20th of May, and we urge customers to withdraw all funds before this date. BTCXIndia apologises for bringing you these news, but the decision has been made is outside of our control.

Once the regulatory situation has become clear in India, we hope to once again open for trading. Until then, we would like to thank you for your business and support.

Sincerely,
BTCXIndia
118  Local / Press & News from India / Re: **IMPORTANT**URGENT** Support needed to defend the stance of bitcoin in India on: May 07, 2015, 06:02:28 PM
I want to add my little input to this discussion. This ORGANISATION wants to know where the bitcoins are coming from. Greenpeace is being shut down by the government especially because they were receiving foreign funding. Funding which as per the government is meant to destabilise the coountry.

In the same stance, this probably means the government is really interested about every rupee that is flowing into the country, where it is coming from and what it is being used for. If that is the case, i think the government will end up banning bitcoins as well. It is a highly likely scenario which i have been thinking about since this topic came up. And like it was mentioned in this post before, this is something that cannot be controlled, regulated, etc. It is not possible. In which case, the only way to deal with it is to ban it.

Now the question a lot of people will have is, but it is not banned anywhere else in the world, how will it be banned in India. India will generally follow the precedence, not set it. But in my experience, especially when it comes to national security and protecting the country, India has set the precedence for a lot of things, which other countries realise and acknowledge much later, and implement it later on. So it is quite possible that the precedent gets set here.

This is my worst case scenario opinion.

Best case scenario:
It is given the seal of approval by authorities and rules formed and everyone is happy.
