121  Local / Press & News from India / Re: **IMPORTANT**URGENT** Support needed to defend the stance of bitcoin in India on: May 07, 2015, 10:01:06 AM

1.There was an incident that we needed to address. As we were fully KYC and AML complaint, and were able to answer the questions asked, this do not look like it would stretch anymore.

2.The only BIG question we could not convince yet is, regulation about bitcoin. The officer is bothered about bitcoins coming to India bypassing the regulated route and those bitcoins actually being exchanged for INR in India using the service like unocoin.

I hope your meeting went well today as well. A few concerns of mine

1. An incident? So is it that they are wanting transaction details from you about your customers?

2. As i was to understand moving money (INR) out of the country was the thing that was not allowed. How are they suddenly concerned about money (Bitcoin) coming into the country. There are various ways money flows into the country. Western Union, banking channels, etc. and it was relatively easy to move money here compared to moving it out. What is this fear with fund inflow?

speak to all the other exchanges as well operating in india. its not their fight today but it may be tomorrow. if you all go united, there is a stronger chance each entity comes out stronger. if each of them starts getting picked out individually, it is not going to help anybody. I really hope you are in touch with Benson and Kamlesh atleast. All the best.

124  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Best Bitcoin Exchange that love Indian's - not like igot fools. on: April 09, 2015, 09:25:50 PM
You are welcome. Within a week I am going to write a review on each one of them. Since I have been using most for over 6 months now.

Try Zebpay, buy too Smiley

Disclaimer : It is quick buy for small amounts of bitcoins for users with a bit unusual process Smiley
1. Download Zebpay from Android play store, you will also get 100 bits free on download now.
2. Once you reach home screen, click on + button in the bottom and go to Buy
3 For first order of 500 INR or less you dont ned to verify your account, so you can simply go through order process.
4. For orders above 500 or second order you need to get verified. Just send copy of your PAN card to verify@zebpay.com or scan it with Scan your PAN card button. We will verify your account in less than 24 hours Smiley
5. Now you can get details of current seller and his bank account details on transfer details. Our current seller is buysellbitco.in ( India's first and most trusted bitcoin exchange ). In near future you will see few more sellers there competing with each other to sell you coins, stay tuned Smiley
6. Go ahead and send funds to that account as per AML rules.
7. On next processing cycle ( 12 PM and 5 PM are two processing cycles ), your order will get executed if we have confirmed your payment. So if your payment is received before 11 am you will get bitcoins in your Zebpay account at 12 Pm, if we received it between 11 am and 4 Pm, your order will get executed at 5 PM and if we receive it between 4 PM and next day 11 am again it will be processed next day 12 PM Smiley Rate will be applied of processing time.

This process is going to be automatic and instant in coming days.

My redeem button is only not working. Sad

Did u press the search icon after entering it? Just saw that it is still unused

Ahan, So that was the trick. Got it. Thank You.

Will put up some helper text or activate the button automatically if voucher is valid.

Yup, that would be better. It was not following the conventional wisdom i am used to having used computers, for the last 20 years. it was like giving me a mac after 20 years of windows. Very scary thought.

The best exchange is btcxindia.com. Very user friendly. Great customer service and the iNR prices are equivalent to prices in $. Whereas other exchanges charge much more than the current prices.

I dont know how you can say other exchanges charge more than current prices. On Btcxindia, orders are created by users, and so it is on coinsecure, which in my belief are the only REAL exchanges in the country. Unocoin, Igot, etc are just glorified localbitcoins profiles. Having said that each exchange has its uses and clientele, and for different requirements, one meets it better than the other.

In my opinion, the only exchange, that will take the lead in the future, is the one which implements fully automated trading the first. As of now, BTCXIndia has better volumes than Coinsecure and prices are better and the chance of the trade getting executed higher.  Honestly, we still follow the foreign markets and cannot give direction to the market sitting in India. We are not that strong an economy yet. For this use, an exchange which can implement API and have programme available to be given to end users, would be where everyone heads over to eventually. Thats my wish list.

131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [GUIDE] Delete your 0/unconfirmed transactions in 30 seconds on: March 15, 2015, 04:52:04 AM
I did all the steps as pointed out, but now get a message when i send a transaction that this is a potential double spend and the transaction is being rejected by the client.

It's polite to warn that yours is a necropost Wink.

Wait some hours/days until the network forgets about your previous attempt. Then broadcast the new transaction.

I am sorry about that, had to look up the meaning of the word. Shall never happen again. So I guess I shall keep trying everyday to send and see what happens.

Hi,

I'm old user of igot exchange, due to their massive fool prices & poor withdrawal system, i'm looking for another exchange to move my bitcoins.

Is there any Bitcoin exchange is available with Indian Deposit / Withdrawl ?!

I want to move asap.

can anyone help me?

Actually there are a lot of them:

Similar to Igot, you have:

1) Unocoin (1 % fees plus service tax)

Then there are peer to peer exchanges:

1) LocalBitcoins.com (1% seller fees, no buyer fees) But risky.

2) BitQuick.in ( No seller fees, 2 % buyer fees)

Then there are proper exchanges like you have the stock market:

1) Coinsecure.in (1% fees both ways)

2) BtcxIndia.com (1% fees both ways)

3) Millibits.in (Complicated fee structure, but defunct exchange)

Hope this list helps, there are pros and cons of each exchange, be very careful with dealing on localbitcoins.

How many bitcoins did you sell, that you overloaded their systems?
136  Local / India / Re: India's Best Bitcoin Exchange goes Live with Deposits & Withdrawals! on: March 09, 2015, 06:08:49 PM
Auto BTC Withdrawals and Deposits are now live.
Removed 2Fac as mandatory.
Added some better mails, mail verification links on withdraw, etc

Several fixes, INR calculation box added as well.

Links added to home page.

I dont know why i read it as auto fiat withdrawl. i was getting a little too excited.

I am going to own up to this weird order of all 9's. I had put it in place to see whats the max limit. However, i found out that the max order is 1 followed by 10 zeros. equivalent to 10,000,000,000.

But putting 10,000,000,001 as the sale limit brings up this image

<img>

which claims that the max rate is 1 followed by 12 zeros.

Can you have it checked please. I think it is putting a decimal there for some reason.

Haha.. nice. The reason for putting up that order is better than I had assumed. Cheesy

So I can rest assured that Indian Bitcoiner community is not full of people who want to become Billionairs by selling 1 Bitcoin, LOL!

Frankly would love to see the day, when 1 Bitcoin can be sold for a billion rupees.

140  Local / India / Re: Worst exchange igot.com (Liars) on: February 14, 2015, 02:26:58 PM
The sad truth about bitcoins is that there will be fraud and bitcoin companies will be at the receiving end of them as banks don't care and all the loss will have to be borne by the exchange. This has happened, and as an exchange they have to be careful about who they accept money from. For a new account expecting same day withdrawal from them is a little too much. Yes your money would have been blocked but the exchange has to protect themselves.

Yes, Igot's withdrawl's are comparatively slower to almost anybody else, but I think it's more because they use Neft and doubt they have been introduced to imps. Coupled that with their time zone is probably what adds up to the delay.
