Just cut pow off right now and get coins staking.
why ? there's really no reason to do so : l
when people invested in this coin , they took into consideration when pow would end etc , we cant just remove it.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ECASH]E-Money Advertising Revenue In Wallet | 8% Daily Stake for 21 days on: February 25, 2015, 06:51:18 PM
Great, thank you for putting your names forward.  It sounds like the majority of people would like OCminer to hold the funds.  Please choose between MickGhee or OCminer.  The escrow will have to stake the funds and slowly give it back to us after 20 days.  I thought earlier about just sending the wallet.dat but realize now that is not a safe solution, but we will lose 24 hours of staking.  I can just delay the beta advertising campaign by a day though to make up for this.

Looks like we have a lot of hashrate on the network also, thank you all for your interest.
I vote for OCMINER , Mickghee is probably good aswell , just never heard of him. but i belive ocminer has more recognition in these forums , so most people would probably feel safer with him holding the funds.

326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gascoin X11 | available for takeover | website: gascoin.info | on: February 25, 2015, 06:02:29 PM
I've never seen a coin crash and burn as fast as this one. Simply incredible !
just like gas , this coin wanted to prove how fast gas can just burn away , and that we should stay away from it and make the world a healthier place.

329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] LunarCoin °LNR° X13 Pow/PoS - Pre announcement, follow our thread ! on: February 25, 2015, 03:14:29 PM
indeed , premine seems abit big , but hopefully this coin can go somewhere anyways.

Dev can give a chance for solo miners at least with this premine. When it's no chance to solo and big premine many users will not be interested in this, not only me. Smiley
true ,but people missed the actual point with coins we mine them to earn money , this one maybe doesnt wanna be the usual pump and dump coin : )

Premine 1500000, not interested.
indeed , premine seems abit big , but hopefully this coin can go somewhere anyways.

Update your miners! said to run 2x faster

Copy past from DEV's post on vanillacoin forums :

Here is the final sgminer windows 32/64 binaries and source code. The 32-bit version is notably faster in testing but some miners have requested a 64-bit version and so this may not be true for everyone. In order to gain any additional speed the lookup tables would need to be rewritten.

http://vanillacoin.net/downloads/sgminer_64.zip
http://vanillacoin.net/downloads/sgminer-5.1.0.zip
I have confirmed the source code compiles on Linux and Mac OS X.
Thank you for your support.

Vald has put his name forward for escrow service.
I personally think the idea of a pool OP holding the premine would make everyone happy but that's just my opinion.  But I mean it is your guys coin so I mean you can leave the premine with whomever you choose.  I do appreciate you guys asking the community and miners what they think though.

Agreed. Ocminer would be the best. I only put my name forward in case all other suitable candidates were too busy.

It would be no Problem to send the funds to an online wallet address under my control if you want that. I will make it public of course if that happens. How long do you think the escrow should last?

I support ocminer holding the escrow Smiley
me to , if there's anyone we can trust on this forum , its ocminer : )

335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: police pay ransom in btc on: February 25, 2015, 02:08:33 PM

Wait, what? Have they paid ransom with tax payers money?

Quote
The department felt it had no option but to pay up. Records show the department paid $606 in a money order, which included bank fees and surcharges, to a New York Bitcoin cafe.

I ain't no lawyer, but pretty sure that's not quite legal what they did.

Depends, if they see BTC as a Commodity not money they basically gave the hacker a pizza as reward.

Not money.
does that even matter  ?  a pizza costs money , and even the US see's bitcoins as money right?
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ex Goldman Director Launches Bitcoin Derivatives Brokerage on: February 25, 2015, 02:04:47 PM

337  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which is the best mobile wallet? on: February 25, 2015, 02:03:25 PM
if you're on IOS id reccomend breadwallet , there's no better wallet than that one. I've heard Green adress is decent aswell , but never tried it out.
338  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a way for me to accept credit cards on my site through a third part pro on: February 25, 2015, 01:54:43 PM
yes, I am seeking the reverse. I think it would be very helpful for the unbanked who would like to have the participation of those who either don't want the hassle of getting bitcoin just to donate or who are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with bitcoin. I believe this is a huge market.

There are sites that allow you to buy bitcoin with a credit card, so I was surprised that they haven't taken the obvious step of allowing people to link to their site with a code that would auto-generate a pay/donate form specific to the originated website.

If there is fear regarding charge-backs they could just hold the payments until that risk is gone - a hassle for the receiver of the BTC, but better late BTC than no BTC - at least for me.  :-)

Hopefully someone will get this going soon.
its actually something that is very weird it doesnt exist , but i think the reason is that then people dont have to use bitcoins , and they wont even know they got converted to bitcoins. and we have to spread awareness :>
339  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How/where to earn bitcoins? (not faucets) on: February 25, 2015, 01:52:17 PM
i also want to know what is the easiest way to earn some btc to start with
The easiest way is go to work and buy it

Yes it is. 10$/hour is 0.042BTC/hour or 8.474BTC/month if you work 200h a month.
well  , you have to pay rent , food etc aswell man : ]
imo you should be really careful with bitcoins if you're new here , take it slowly dont invest to much etc.
340  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Brand new BTC FAUCET - win 200 to 12 000 satoshi (4 hours) on: February 25, 2015, 01:49:25 PM
So many faucet's and all useless in a way

probabely facuts are only good for facut owners a way to getting cheap traffic

THat's why they are useless
I prefer satoshimine more than that

you need to have atlest some bitcoins to play with satoshimine , i preferrer signature compaigns for newbaies who dont have any btc

If they are newbie's , i don't think even sig camp will make them anything worth it

there are some signature compaigns who accept newbies and trust me you can make alot more then solving captcha all day in facuts , its my personal experiance  Grin
indeed , like ALOT more you get bout 10k satoshi per post i belive. ( and you get to read the funniest forum on the internet )
