$3B is very undervalued IMO, bitcoin and it's blockchain technology are a game changer in the financial and decentralised field of techonlogy. I think that the bitcoin marketcap should be at $50 billion which is more reasonable IMO.

What an original thread. Newbie account - check, Bitcoin is a scam/ponzi/etc-check, we should admit that bitcoin failed-check. Who makes these posts ? I mean do you seriously think what you can make us think hat bitcoin failed because of a price drop ? Next time try better than this.

It looks simple and flat which is the current trend at the moment, although it could be more creative and colorful IMO.

Let me guess, the method includes vcc's from leakforums.org right ?

Try to sell service or goods, taking freelance jobs or join a signature campaign. Although you are a newbie don't think that any campaign will accept you because of your rank. Try to get t full member rank then you can get accepted into a signature campaign.

|
|
There are very few campaigns that accept newbies so maybe try to "level" up your status to full member atleast and the join a signature campaign, I would recommend the bit-x signature campaign since they pay the highest rates at the moment.

Bitcoin is already taxed at least in the USA..... its taxed as property capital gains / loss
This is nothing new though, it's common sense to know as a bitcoiner that bitcoins are taxable in the united states.

My understanding is that miners (or mining pools) have the ability to set their own timestamps. The Bitcoin Protocol has encoded an allowable error of +/- in time, to a max of a 5 hour error. This is so since it is not possible to have different miners systems all having the correct time, every time. Some lose time and etc.
The block was found recently and is in its proper order. It is just the broadcasted time-stamp (which the miners system says) that is off.
This sounds like a better explanation than mine. Each miner has a different time so it takes sometime until the block shows on the blockchain.

Some months ago a veteran poster said that there is big news to be expected around mid-April. I can't find the thread.
Anyone?
Sounds interesting and mysterious, probably another big service will accept bitcoin or satoshi will reveal himself ? Until the 15th we have to wait and speculate what it is, it might just be nothing I am also doubtful about anything big on the said date. This might be just a hoax. I think it's about liberland thing but I don't see how this is connected with bitcoin at all. Maybe they will use bitcoin as their official currency ? Only speculations at the moment

No, RodeoX is correct. A licensed exchange is the safest place to sell them now. Burt was a localbitcoins thing. That's what my joke was about earlier in the thread.
I happened to agree with Chef Ramsey though. This story is unbelievable.
Yep, the html is probably manipulated since it doesn't show the QR code or the address of the bitcoin wallet.

I don't see any points on these kinds of attacks, the money is already spent on te new ECB building what are they trying to archive ? These are just some college kids that think they know how the whole world works but in reality they don't know shit about the real world.

Yanis at work again.. with his very ambiguous style. He seems to like the idea behind it, but doesn't really take a solid position. Would he use it? Never replies that one. He probably owns some, secretly.
if he owns bitcoins then he might even be more willing to bring his idea's to work. at the end people mostly look for personal gains. don't think he is any different. As a political figure he has to to mostly look for the personal gains of his president and his country, there is no room for personal cares in politics of course this doesn't apply for corrupt politicians. I think Yanis is really interested in the bitcoin protocol and he would like to implement nationwide in Greece but there are too many concerns and problems of doing it.

I think it takes some time until the block shows on all node and one the whole blockchain. I'm not a blockchain expert though so it might be because of an other reason it ook so long to show on the blockchain.

So this 'lagging blocks' problem is partially responsible for a huge delay I observed on my transaction confirmation? Because there was really like 4 hours lagging confirmation last night... What is going on with the network?
I was waiting for a confirmation last night on Poloniex, and had to go to sleep before the coins arrived. Maybe try to increase the miner fees to get the transactions confirming faster ? Depends on if you need the coins ASAP or you wait until the next day, and I think ploniex credits coins after 6 confirmations. That's why it took so long .

Kids in our days..... They hack the police department, steal all their files, and only ask $300 as ransom to give it back...... Plain stupid and a waste of talent. I agree, what is the point to hack the police department, steal the fils and only ask for a $300 ransom ? They could have got as much as 10k, they probably copied all the files and are selling them on the deepweb or some sort.

Interesting wiki page, Liberland could use bitcoin as their official currency (that's implying they know what bitcoin is) this will an interesting experiment/project. I will keep on eye on this Liberland This is the official website, wiki has market its page for deletion. http://liberland.org/en/main/Thanks for the link, I will take a closer look into this. It is really fascinating to hear about this, I think the bitcoin foundation should send some representatives there and convince them to use bitcoin a the official currency

If your country doesn't have regulations regarding bitcoin and it would be for small amounts of bitcoin I wouldn't declare them. Even if they knew I had bitcoin and I would refuse to to pay taxes for them how would they get my bitcoin ? Call the blockchain and order it to clear my account ? They would have to beat me until I gave them access to the bitcoins.

Pretty much what xhomer posted however, I find it very interesting that a person purchased thousands of dollars of something some time back yet didn't pay enough attention to it until now. I'm not buying this, sorry.
You think he Ctrl+U to edit the html ? Would be a shame, I would believe this story if he posted the bitcoin address of the blockchain.info account holding all these coins.

The difficulty is adjusting frequently these days because the miners stop their machines when the price falls. This will probably be solved once the price rises a bit and miners open their mining rigs to mine bitcoin and make transactions fast as before.
