That could be good strategy when BTC price is lower and ALTS are higher like one in JAN 2018 , In the long run BTC will be the one ruling the crypto so YES.Approved

The plan is not cast in stones. I hold a BTC core position and flip the fringe on altcoins.
I'm definitely holding some altcoins, especially after taking good short term profits (traded for fiat or BTC)

Many people actually do that because of the idea that Bitcoin still is the best coin around that could give a person the best profit possible come the time it gains back what it lost after several dumps. However, I will not totally dispose all of my altcoins to buy Bitcoin because there are still some altcoins, like Ethereum, that is worth holding. And also, in this market, diversity is key, so it's better to have a couple of coins rather than just one. |

Maybe is alternative way to buy bitcoin why not?We all know bitcoin is more profitable than to altcoin so I think nothing is wrong if we sell our altcoin to buy bitcoin. Bitcoin is proven the value than altcoin so if you feel your satisfy to that altcoin to sell you can sell so you can buy btc. Diversity has always been supported by crypto experts and the reasons are hell obvious. You have also discussed in detail that more coins you have in your wallet, the more chances you have of successful trading and holding. As you have mentioned, the plus point for investors with diverse profile is buying and selling those coins which are showing good trend while holding others who have soar market. |

The actual problem is that altcoins are dropping very fast, and that is the main reason of why a lot of people are moving forward to sell their alts and put their money in bitcoin, or just in ethereum.
If btc goes down by 5%, alts go down by 6% - 7%.

I would not recommend investing in just one crypto currency. Undoubtedly, bitcoin now leads the market, but this does not mean that you can ignore the rest of the crypto currency. To date, we can see a large number of promising coins, in which it is worth investing. Therefore, I share the investment and choose several worthy projects. Personally, I always support people buying BTC, because I believe that BTC is the best and least risky coin on the market today, holding BTC we will never fear that it will lose capital. The longer they hold, the more valuable they are. Your profits will grow so I always support everyone who buys BTC, For me as well bitcoin is the best choice as it is full of profit and now a day price is really affording but profit will be very high after holding it, so I think best choice is to sell altcoins if you have and buy bitcoin, hold your bitcoin as in future price of your bitcoin will almost triple and will give you multiple times profit as compare to alts, so buy bitcoin and hold for long time I am sure in this way you will earn high amount of profit. |

depending on which altcoin we will sell, if the altcoin we want to sell is a potent token or a good token, selling it is the wrong choice. Although bitcoin is more profit but it could be with a good altcoin we have one day can buy more than one bitcoin .

It could work, we all know that bitcoin is the most famous coin out in the market, people, most especially those people who are new or have just heard bitoin from a friend or some news, tend to buy bitcoin without the knowledge that there are other good coins as well. But for me, bitcoin is not the only good investment out there, other coins might give you even bigger profit. |

I agree.You have to diversify your investment as much as possible so do not just put it in one basket.Yes bitcoin has really more potentials than altcoin but we cannot deny that as bitcoin slowly increasing its price,there are some good altcoins too that increasing their prices too.For me,investing in both coins will be more profitable than just focusing on single bitcoin that any time it will fall since we are not sure what will happen in the future. |

that good opinion dude.much people consider that bitcoin totally influence altcoin price.actually this is not work 100% .some altcoin can still survive while bitcoin price dropping. |

Along with the rising trend, the altcoins will start to rise gradually. At this time, I think we should not take anything out of hand. Do not sell anything with panic unless you see 20K unless you have to.

I can not say that's a good strategy. . but for me it's ok to buy a bitcoin if its low price, there's many altcoin like bitcoin that good potential too. it's up to you how you handle, if you know that coin have potential..why not? should you try but do not give it all invest wisely.

So, it is not a good idea to put in all your investment in one project. Selling of Altcoin for Bitcoin is also relevant as the Bitcoin price is many times more than that of Altcoin and its investment will give you more profit. In order to buy Bitcoins you have to sell the Altcoin in a high market in which you are finding yourself in profit as Altcoin investment is also profitable, now invest in Bitcoin with that profit which was gained from Altcoin’s market to invest in a low Bitcoin market. Thanks for the links. Anyway I wound not sell all my alts maybe some in order to avail a little amount of bitcoin. It is good to have bitcoin while I also have altcoins. Both are very profitable if it goes up.

This strategy is good but I think it does not bring too much profit. Because bitcoin is relatively light and it does not bring too much profit to the Bitcoin holders. I think the trading and holding of long-term altcoins is better than holding Bitcoin. |

I first earned some bitcoin through paid work.
After that, I invested some part of btc funds in other crypto currencies in order to diversify my investment.
It's true that btc is still the main entry point for many new users and usually if btc price go up, alts prices also go up and if btc price go down, alts price also go down.
So, it looks there is no so much difference if you have everything in bitcoin only, or also if you invested in more crypto currencies.
It's my experience, any way.
