101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PEPE] PepeCoin - Technology for Data Resilience and Freedom of Speech on: May 01, 2017, 05:27:16 PM
http://sadfroghatchery.com, although currently down, seems to be paying the owed coins.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PEPE] PepeCoin - Technology for Data Resilience and Freedom of Speech on: April 29, 2017, 11:45:56 AM
Any idea when will be the card game released?

Wich card game?  Huh

I think he's confused with PepeCash.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PEPE] PepeCoin - Technology for Data Resilience and Freedom of Speech on: April 29, 2017, 07:45:05 AM
Don't confuse PepeCoin (this coin) with PepeCash the original token for RarePepe, the collectors blockchain-based cards which are also developing a game.

Website: http://rarepepedirectory.com/

Wallet: http://rarepepewallet.com

Telegram: https://t.me/rarepepetradergroup

Wish all the best to this team but the original PepeCash was out first with the Pepe name and they have a strong and passionate community of card collectors and token holders.

LMAO GTFO

Can you tell us about the distribution model for PEPE CASH? Didn't some dude grant himself a couple million to him and his buddies and then graciously sell it to the noobs?

Just doing some basic calculations:
PEPECASH= $3.2m market cap
PEPECOIN= $220k market cap

Seems like there is so much room to grow.

This was the first PEPECOIN in existence and then not long after some guy made himself pepecash. If your up to date Bittrex made them change the name due to some bullshit regulation FUD.

We know you guys somehow feel threatened by the rise in popularity of this coin but it doesn't have to be this way. One way or another this thing won't be kept down. We have our plans and they are bountiful.

There are so many new people coming in and helping out and developing a community and then we get jealous mutts like you come in here and try to trash what we are building.

How about you fuck off and focus on your own shit instead of coming in here trying to scam our community with your unsolicited offers. We don't parade our shit across your boards advertising and bashing the community so why come do it here?

Why is it that people like you try to harm something rather than help or do your own thing? Get yourself together and think about your choices.

Neither of you are going to help both coins if you do things like this.

Suprnova had a message displaying earlier stating there was an issue, so front-end side of things isn't being updated. You're still mining and getting coins.

So http://sadfroghatchery.com is offline and never paid the 30k blocks that were pending.

Might wanna remove it from the OP.

http://sadfroghatchery.com doesn't seem to be paying/confirming pending blocks.

Any reason why?

I don't run it, but the owner told me its because of the extra work the coin daemon has to do for our chain image hashing and asset exchange framework. We're working on forking in multithreading capabilities to fix this. For now, its only paying once a day, but it is fair AFAIK. We are also working on getting a pool up and if you bug suprnova.cc ocminer will probably add his pool sooner.

It doesn't seem to be paying daily at the moment. The last confirmed block was 9065 and has been so for several days now.

108  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: 51% DEFENSE POOL - btc.suprnova.cc on: April 09, 2017, 12:07:01 AM

51% DEFENSE POOL

URL: https://btc.suprnova.cc/

It is currently running on testnet, if you have spare hash help us out with development. I am currently working with OCminer of suprnova.cc to manage and maintain the pool.

The purpose of the pool is to provide stablization against 51% attacks and otherwise.

If you are interested please let me know: alex@icocountdown.com

AIM OF POOL:

Keep hashrate on Bitcoin stabilized so there are no 51% attacks.

Only accept Bitcoin core technology inputs.

Low fee pools used for the purposes of defending against 51% attacks so it is profitable.

Reduction of social engineering and sybil attacks on the Bitcoin network.

Nice. No premine, isn't scrypt.

Will mine.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.14.0 Released on: April 07, 2017, 02:40:26 PM
Is this really critical to transfer all the bitcoins on own computer?

I keep them on www.blockchain.info, but it looks like there are risks.

What is your opinion?

Blockchain.info is a terrible service and you should definitely look into storing your coins on a personal, local device.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **Download the blockchain here, updated regularly ** on: April 07, 2017, 02:23:04 PM
Now, Blockchain requie over 120G, it too big for my PC,
other way to used Bitcore?

You can try to find a third-party--yet reputable--wallet.

The best I know of is https://electrum.org/#download, although I don't remember if that would solve your issue or not. I believe the wallet's blockchain syncing is different. Best look into it beforehand.

sad...we're selling bootstrap.dat now

Almost laughable to see how far we have come.

112  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Video Script Writers Wanted on: April 06, 2017, 01:01:27 AM
I'm looking for bitcoin knowledgeable people that can write Bitcoin 101 script.  Just explain the basics of bitcoin to the masses.  Videos will run from 5 to 10 minutes, which is 3 to 4 pages more or less.  Let me see some examples of your work.

You might want to include how much you're willing to pay for it.
113  Economy / Services / Re: Are you a blogger? Then come and Write for Wirex! on: April 06, 2017, 12:55:00 AM
"we may have space on our core writing team for part-time paid work"

Are you saying it isn't paid to begin with? And you're trying to get people to write for free with the potential of paid work and some useless rewards?

If that is the case: nah.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viacoin (VIA) - Safe | Segwit | Lightning Network | Auxpow | Fast on: April 05, 2017, 01:00:25 AM
..but right now F2Pool would be an option.

Please don't. Every coin that gets on FUpool becomes unminable due to the diff going through the roof. It's a sure way of centralising your network. HUC had the same problem, then they got off FUpool & miners came back & price has gone up ever since. SYS has the same problem, unminable due to FUpool pushing the diff into the stratosphere so price has stagnated even though the devs are doing some great work.

I have to agree there. The frequent block halving also doesn't seem fit for something like F2Pool.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BipCoin, CryptoNote with Fast, Solid Transactions + profitable to mine on: April 04, 2017, 10:47:06 PM
Net hashrate appears to have doubled. That's great.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viacoin (VIA) - Safe | Segwit | Lightning Network | Auxpow | Fast on: April 04, 2017, 04:39:26 PM
Hi guys !

Can someone help me to mine Viacoin ? I really don't know how to start Roll Eyes
Is it worst to do this with a 1060 GTX card ?

Anyway, very good job for the dev !

You'd be best finding a multipool that'll pay you in Viacoin, mining an algo other than scrypt.

https://prohashing.com is good for that.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BipCoin, CryptoNote with Fast, Solid Transactions + profitable to mine on: April 04, 2017, 04:11:44 PM
Indeed, after a long period of high difficulty, unjustifiably high at least with respect to the price, we gradually returned to levels I'm comfortable with. Enough so to divert 100% of my cpu mining back to bip. Let's see how long it lasts.

Just gotta hope people are willing to pay decent prices for the new coins coming into circulation.

little-known secret: BipCoin is one of the most profitable coins to mine (and has been for months). And the difficulty is WAY lower then most profitable coins, so open to people with less mining power:
http://whattomine.com/

And BipCoin is usually the most profitable CryptoNote coin to mine.

Just needs to hit a better exchange.

Yup, we need Bittrex listing.

Bittrex would be great.

The problem with Cryptopia is its reputation for allowing pretty much any shitcoin to get listed. It pushes away a lot of serious investors.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: UnxCoin [UNH] - Mining Now Scrypt on: April 04, 2017, 01:09:45 AM
There's too much inactivity from the dev for me to continue holding the remaining coins I have. The first person to reply to this with their UnxCoin wallet address gets 45.5 coins.

A cool semi-relaunch.

Going to throw some hashes onto one of the pools.
