41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ARO] | Arionum | CPU Only | PHP Based | Decentralized Revolution on: January 25, 2018, 01:07:03 AM

in the near future is there any information about exchanger for ARO?

Thanks,

That's a bit of a grey area this early on.

I think it's important that the devs, and community, pick the exchanges that offer the best exposure to the coin. Launching on terrible exchanges could easily cripple any future this coin has.

Please provide your mining address.

2nZ2W2dhTtr7bLtpD4UGyERH1KtbfuKieoHeABjCxPyVipFC9S5ighP2rzM5wEvnjN8PzEtzjut7UAx NTHfVY9kg

As far as i can see, your hashrate is 38 and on a single instance.

You have 17.57 coins earned in total. Considering this, and the fact that there are some shares in the pool, the mining seems to work fine, now.

Hey dev,

I guess my miner is running on adress:
Tp2ow3iWTdiifGZX1XczrT5cvrXpgMBqcvkmXVXsLzh6EycFYKNSNx8MumjUYVtTtZzW2DBTenUFFnk 4svj45yA

Only there is a but, i see:
MIN DL: 50000
--> Hash rate: (my hashspeeD)
--> Updating mining info

And again MIN DL etc etc, shouldn't i get a CONFIRM or ACCEPTED message when i get a share?
I dont know if i'm mining now, and if i get shares. On the aropool beta site i cant find my adress (mining since approx 5-10 minutes now)

Edit: i closed the miner and started again, now i get 1 share in a few seconds, after that (again like 10 minutes) nothing.
I guess i dont need to restart the miner every few seconds to get a share? xd

Just gotta let it run and be patient. Remember that your total hashrate isn't huge, and the network is growing.

I met the same thing. I cant find my address in the pool website...

Thus, I am not sure that everything is okay.

When did you find your address in the pool website? After 1-day mining?

It just takes some time to finally appear.

https://arionum.info/account/walletaddress helps, as well.

Ok, THX. I can check it after 6 hours.

Until now, my address cannot be found through https://arionum.info/account/walletaddress.

If you're unsure as to whether your address really exists, just open the wallet and check to see whether it connects to a node.

Keep getting Danger! Invalid account id in block explorer. Been mining for about 2hours. Is this normal?

Completely fine.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ARO] | Arionum | CPU Only | PHP Based | Decentralized Revolution on: January 23, 2018, 12:51:04 AM
Why are my pool payments showing pending balance and then they are disappearing? Still I do not get any balance in my wallet - but wallet is up to date.. When I enter my wallet adress to the block explorer it states
Quote
Danger! Invalid block id
. Any ideas?

For stats here my hashrates: Quadcore i7 7700k: ~50h/s Dualcore i7 4800 ~26h/s. Weird that the 4800 is computing more hashes per core.

If you just started mining, it'll take some time for it to display on the explorer.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ARO] | Arionum | CPU Only | PHP Based | Decentralized Revolution on: January 21, 2018, 04:11:46 PM
Now the difficulty is 100774706. Two days ago it was 3 times higher. Why is mining 10 times smaller now?

I believe a miner was found to be exploiting the pool by submitting the same nonce over and over.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ARO] | Arionum | CPU Only | PHP Based | Decentralized Revolution on: January 20, 2018, 10:53:43 PM
i have miners set with the same address on multiple machines but balance is 0 with 900 shares submitted
5o4ThMjTDB9jst75LwNM1g61N8JEPe6bazmbK3HtKDGuQqLzexeV6FDXhBahnnDFVQC7PajiCyCoSAv MGTQ3L8ea

did I do something wrong?

Just gotta wait a while; takes some time for things to actually show up.

We have updated the miner and the windows bundle. It now checks the address for validity before mining (by checking the size). Also, it fixes the SSL issue some people had.

Have the links in the OP been updated?

So, with this new thread, are there any plans to actually further develop the coin and market it?
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FYI: Bitcoin is a libertarian movement on: December 24, 2017, 05:11:51 PM
I've noticed quite a lot of 'non-liberals' talking about Bitcoin as if liberals should not exist within the crypto space. As if the nature of them goes against liberal beliefs.

A lot of people are now new to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, so I felt it was a good idea to remind people that Bitcoin itself--in its earliest days--was a spark of libertarian beliefs due to the decentralisation, censorship resistance, and anonymity it provided. Bitcoin, and many altcoins, are a liberal creation. If you did not yet know that, it's probably best to read up on them a bit more before diving in.

Of course the idea of Bitcoin and its features is that they're open to all to use, regardless of which side you lean on politically and religiously; that's what makes it special.

If that alone isn't libertarian, I don't know what is.

I’d agree with you except Bitcoin is not decentralized, it’s not anonymous, it’s not open to everyone because it requires the internet and training to use, and the continuous fud created around bitcoin is a type of censorship.

I guess it depends on what you'd consider full decentralisation or anonymity.

The anonymity isn't entirely there, I agree. But the decentralisation is pretty spot-on in terms of providing a platform in which it's entirely peer-to-peer.

I guess that depends what you consider decentralized. I don’t consider 90% of the mining force (bitcoins security system) being in the hands of a few people that meet and discuss the future of bitcoin “decentralization”.

As far as anonymity, ask the founder of Silk Road what he thinks about that (I’m not sure he can get letters in prison though).

I agree that the centralisation of mining is a problem.

As for Silk Road: Ross wasn't caught as a result of his bitcoin transactions, it was mostly his stupidity in using a library's internet connection to sign into private services he used and owned in connection to Silk Road.

60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone put much thought into just reducing the 10 min? on: December 24, 2017, 04:38:38 PM
Reducing the block time from 10 minutes would cause a ripple effect within the network.

More Bitcoin would be coming into circulation, making it harder to properly distribute the coins in a 'fairer' manner, and it would suppress the price, taking longer for us to reach into the eight decimals of adoption.

Of course it would also change the mining difficulty and such as a result, as well.
