Group on telegram: @wownero_coin
what's the difference between @wownero and @wownero_coin groups? I dunno but if you're on telegram can you tell me which one has less telegram pump scammers? @wownero has few people with barely readable leet speak nicknames, i'm scared. Is there no actual moderation? I don't really use telegram, but if one chat is active I can put it in the op. Probably worth noting that if one is active and in need of additional moderation, I'd be up to help keep it safe & free of spam.

Anyone else think it's funny that Bcash is in the 'Altcoins' category on here?

I support the idea of forking and creating the coin in your own vision; that's crypto at its best.
But claiming 80% of the network was against it... Just how much of that hash was ASIC hardware in comparison to GPU/CPU hardware?
Doesn't sound particularly fair either way, really. But I support the fork removing ASIC hardware more, based on my own preferences.

Seems particularly pointless to have an ICO when multiple decentralised YouTube alternatives exist on the Steem blockchain, without a token sale necessary.

We have manually updated the difficulty as we were stuck on the block 10801.
Everyone running nodes, should update again. (git pull)
The miners should also be updated to the latest versions.
@draceus0 The expected hashrate for a i7 7700k is between 8 and 11. If you're getting only 3, there's a problem in your config. Try more hashers.
As a comparison, a GTX1080 should be getting around 21-24H/s atm.
Do no be alarmed by the new low hashrates, they are low for everyone and that's what was expected.
I'm at ~1.5 on an i7-4790k. Is that about what I should expect? When you say there could be a problem in config, how would you check that? Which miner are you using? If it's java, delete the old config. If it's php, you need to open more instances (1 per thread). Maybe you can make some code changing dev to set up how many threads to run on the miner, maybe something in the configuration file, coz if you have like me 40 threads and i need to open 40 instances and is not to comfortable. I believe the Java miner solves that issue; may be wrong.

So gpu still gets 24hs and cpus down to 1hs? How does this make sense?
The mining algorithm is now following a different set of rules; hashrates will now change, as will the difficulty of the network. Old miners will probably report a certain hashrate but those shares shouldn't be accepted by the pool.

And there goes the 10800 block.
Glad to see that the community came to a conclusion and the devs performed accordingly.

Today sent 1000 VIA to my Polo adress VmHujKroSyePruwx4s7FEW2eeFAshEiWBp. I'm see over 40 confirmation in VIA blockchain, but coins not received. In deposit history on Polo - there is nothing. Polo - potential scam? WTF? We need a new exchange! Binance will be a good. If Polo really soon scam, this be very bad for VIA! Binance is far from a quality exchange.

Could you comment on the fact that there is already a working GPU miner? Whats being done about that I'm fairly certain the hardfork itself is to deal with the GPU miner; transaction changes would be just an additional change to the coin while the option is available. Just a guess, though.

Interesting how the 'pro' version of Bitcoin has a 5% premine.

100,000,000 coins Premine Scrypt
Feels like 2014 levels of shitcoins again.

How does this compete with Steemit?

No news, no exchanges, no "only cpu". Need to do something I think the GPU mining ruined the whole idea. Let's hope it's possible to fix it within a short period of time. Now that a GPU miner has been released and made evident to exist: it does seem the general consensus over it is negative/ Personally, I happen to agree. It removes the entire appeal of the coin being decentralised enough for all to consider mining on any CPU.

someone created a miner using gpus, not even worth cpu mining now honestly. it was a good month tho.
Still no evidence.
|
|
|
So there is a working GPU miner already that can reach a speed of 600 H/s ??
Whats the point of this "CPU only" coin then?
There's zero evidence of an efficient/working GPU miner aside from the posts; that doesn't really verify the legitimacy of such claims.

Okay boys, I just started mining the coin on my laptop with Intel i5-7300 with 2 auto-miner files with 20h/s on each miner. After I installed the wallet, I received 3 addresses Address Public Key Private key I have typed in the address key in the auto-miner bat file. After 20 mins I retyped balance and my pass, but it did not show me any coins in it. Am I doing something wrong or should I just wait a bit more?
Slow blocks + 40H/s means it's gonna take some time before you see a balance. Check the pool and your earnings to get a rough idea of when you'll get a payout.

interesting! how do we mine this? thanks
It is quite literally in the OP.

Not sure how I feel about this.
While it's very different, it gives me a similar feeling to Reddit's dumb upvote/dislike censorship; hopefully this merit thing never holds any actual weight towards content visibility and layout.
