https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1310325.new#new

1. has nodes
2. connected to XRP market  <<< value there as XRP sidechain
3. mature 'older' coin, early 2014 launch
4. antiASIC anyone can mine
5. rock bottom priced
6. listed on Cryptsy (for what's that worth?)

all depends on last point ... HVC maybe dies if bigVern absconds

listed on Coinmarketcap and Cryptsy
http://heavyco.in/  (nice open source repo) ... this is a nice touch
and several pools are open

Not dead!  Cool

Guys, Do not worry about that has been granted another year to change things yourself or change their opinions yourself before that time, Forward and show really that it coin  actually has an opportunity and not just a  pump mechanism more. However you succesful could will be reflected in the charts I guess. We will see.

704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Links to dead coins INDICATOR DC ........................... on: January 03, 2016, 04:35:11 PM
Great and hard work you did here. Congratulations.
I wonder where will you put Heavycoin considering your indicators.
Also it would be readable if you put your lists in some kind of table with sort option on coin name and creation date, but I don't know if forum options allow that.

Thanks for your kind words. I'll take your suggestion into consideration.

Obviously Heavycoin  is on the floor but something caught my eye so I decided to open a new thread to discuss about this, Obviously it is dead since april 2014 but I see that you keep supporting this, I can see it on your signature, Needless to say, It is still listed on Cryptsy and Coinmarketcap(11 BTC).The question is Why?

So before of do a dead coin on here I could ask a little more about this.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1310325.0     Here we go!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1310325.msg13413893#msg13413893  @asdf55 : Who better than a follower of this coin to explain more details before of declare the status of this coin.

Well It was the result:

Heavycoin(HVC)  is considered alive on here.

As a special case but Added to Waiting for an answer due to deadline of one year.

Special Note: If HeavyCoin proves that things are very different after one year will be moved to a different location without let the fact that It could be equal=dead as its situation of last 20 months after that time lapse.

New incomers: Please be careful not to fall into a pump only on it.
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NYC] New York Coin - "TronREX TAKEOVER & OVERHAUL" on: January 03, 2016, 04:03:48 PM
Hello guys,

I wanted to let you guys know that the website is back up. I'm going to be adding a forum to it in the following days. I want to steer away from this place due to the amount of trolling that goes on here.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks,
REX

Of your answer depends  the status of this coin in certain thread:

A sort of scrutiny where handled something of value is needed , create a forum with its own rules to make improvements is understandable but completely away from the place that gave birth and who should finally give some explanation will be required when a obedede common sense.

Yeah, Many coins have a forum is OK, Only be sure to post in this forum too if you decided do that, And one more thing would be good if you say us the community on here in which other projects are involved , Will you do a forum for each coin?.

Can a "alone dev"  face the challenges required?

Shitcoins, Clonecoins,Scamcoins are lots, what  does different those of this one?
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Open thread only to discuss some things before declaring dead to Heavycoin(HVC). on: January 03, 2016, 03:27:20 PM
- Finally "abrupt drop in price"  Grin your favorite and if I may add main and often only index for declaring coins dead. In my opinion and probably most of hvc holders, we would like dev was more active, posting random sh**t about new functions like maybe messaging in wallets or game in wallets or something like that but that would keep price for some time, coin price would drop anyway considering large coin inflation which eventually did (400 000 coins a day is very high inflation, but miners voted for it). So if we have a coin with blockchain moving without hiccup for almost 2 years, dif retargeting up and down fluidly, coin and blockchain moving in all projected parameters and spects why you need a dev? To hold your hand and babysit you? To pump and dump with fake promises?

So to conclude, I don't agree to declare this coin dead for above stated reasons. Dev obviously left this coin but only in terms of future plans and development, he delivered basics for this coin and all that is working fine, to be honest, not thanks to him but to good people. Someone will continue development for this coin, eventually, on solid base witch exists now.

- Finally "abrupt drop in price"  Grin your favorite, your favorite and if I may add main and often only index for declaring coins dead,  Sometimes I find it amazing to think how some people still fail to wrap promises from who is behind of launch the almost coins(no all coins and peoples, clarifying)  Grin
except some as being on the same team, or just someone who is interested in to get quick profit
and I really hope this is not the case.

why you need a dev? To hold your hand and babysit you? To pump and dump with fake promises?
Smiley
Nope, For several reason:
1.- Give a certain "level" of security to investors.
2.- Be sure that the updates come from the same source on the basis of security.
3.- Clarify doubts.
4.- Make improvements to the code according to the new specifications brand competition( no shitcoin, clone coins, scam coins)
5.- Coordinate what services the coin could be connected (exchanges,pools,etc....)
6.- I could spend more than an hour listing reasons..... Cheesy

A last consideration on it: It would be foolish to think that one person can handle everything so do not keep up the story that are "alone devs"  Grin especially considering the current safety requirements, Imagine for example that Heavy  reach an level of  "mainstream"  which I doubt  Grin , You need at least an "Core developers"  Do you see?

So to conclude, I don't agree to declare this coin dead for above stated reasons. Dev obviously left this coin but only in terms of future plans and development, he delivered basics for this coin and all that is working fine, to be honest, not thanks to him but to good people. Someone will continue development for this coin, eventually, on solid base witch exists now.

The same to conclude, Ok acknowledge that the mere fact of having that you asked about what would be the status of your coin( as supporter as far as only) I I'll do an exception  on it, It will be listed on another list as "alive" on the thread but with a deadline very very wide like to one year, enough time to prove that this has something to offer and not only get rid of a bag of coins without value. Since devs they are no longer
any questions will be directed to you at least until someone is in charge. Any change of mind please feel free to indicate on Dead coins thread.

I expected more participation of others "bagholders" o services behind of it, But  there was little participation.

I will keep this thread open more 24 hours and after I will lock this thread.

I see that this coin is coming up on its 1 year anniversary. Grin    Is this coin dead, running in a zombie mode?  I saw an uptick on the market but nothing on the forums to show 'whats up'.  Thought this coin was a POS coin.  Does anyone know what the % of return is currently set at.  Maybe this coin needs a makeover.  Anyone around..... Bueller  Huh

Its still running. I have connections and new blocks coming in. In fact my blocks are about old enough to stake. 365 days. Oh my..  Roll Eyes

But... Since this is already coded for PoS it wouldn't be much work to get it up to speed with some recent fixes, additions, and a hard fork or 2...

Would be nice to see this come back to life. Hate to see coins abandoned by devs or devs that don't explain why they are abandoning a coin, bad or good reason.

Posts after above only trying of revive a dead coin without succesful.

RIP

Well I don't do 6 or 7, but I can't say I'm all that versed in 1-5.  I'm not a tech geek or mathematician or a trader and yet I don't exactly shitpost.  How about adding "doesn't speak a word of English" to your list so I can feel good about myself?

The community has spoken.

New indicator added #8.

"feel good"ness increased.

Lol,
Exchange Avatar in one and sig in another They speak a thousand words.........Lol Grin
