141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: any signature bounty for newbies? on: April 23, 2018, 08:44:46 AM
As far as I know,  there's no signature bounty that accepts newbies to join as its participants. I suggest you'd better increase your level rank to Junior member since it's the minimum rank that may join in the signature bounty.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prediction bitcoin in the future on: April 23, 2018, 12:04:20 AM
For the most part, Bitcoin may have a great future in the long term if it overcomes all scalability issues and all the concepts being developed are successfully implemented. Bitcoin will survive in the long term unless a vastly better technology replaces it.
143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC is down again? on: April 22, 2018, 08:07:54 PM
Cryptosare still an unexplored territory and most of the investors don’t know how to analyze. They just put their money to get high returns faster. So when statements related to Bitcoin Bubble came out and all these events began to happen, people thought that the bubble might be real. This made them pulling out their money from the market. It is called following the trend and is a most important factor that sometimes lead to the falling price if bitcoin.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The danger of the cyptocurrencies on: April 22, 2018, 07:53:16 PM
What I'm afraid most is when we have to keep our all money in the computer system,  then we have to be ready for losing the whole money we have. In cryptocurrency world,  once we lose our money,  we will never get them back.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Friendly countries on: April 22, 2018, 07:18:50 PM
I would say some places in the Asian countries and the United States, due to the recent talks about regulations on bitcoins and such. Loads of companies based in the USA and Asia are also opening up to the idea of bitcoins and other cryptocurrency.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is owning bitcoin a crime? on: April 22, 2018, 07:14:31 PM
It is not crime to own or hold bitcoin. Bitcoin is currently being treated as software hence no regulations. It is when you try to use those bitcoins to buy some illegal stuff for example drugs etc, then it is considered illegal or crime.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Ever Be Shutdown? on: April 22, 2018, 07:03:45 PM
If all sources of electricity, data and internet communications were closed down throughout the planet, bitcoin nodes wouldn't be able to contact each other. The system will be futile
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Asia on: April 22, 2018, 06:49:46 PM
It's pretty common. For example, majority of bitcoin, ethereum holders are from China. There are thousands of wechat groups in China for coins, ico's. In Hong Kong, there is what's app groups to discuss about crypto. The eastern culture as a whole generally adopts new technology faster than in the west.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Hackable? on: April 22, 2018, 06:42:19 PM
Bitcoins are a digital bearer asset.  That means that anyone who holds the secret key controls the bitcoins.  Hacking bitcoin, therefore, typically involves finding out a way to steal a user's secret key through technical means or by social engineering (i.e. fooling them into giving away the key).  To that extent, hacking a user's bitcoin account/wallet is not much different than hacking any other software platform.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin legal on: April 22, 2018, 06:31:10 PM
Bitcoin is still struggling to get the legal status worldwide. But some of the countries positively accept bitcoin. The legal status of bitcoin varies substantially from country to country and is still undefined or changing in many of them
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH next to BTC? on: April 16, 2018, 10:57:30 AM
I'm sure it is. Ethereum is the second most popular cryptocurrency after bitcoin, and it takes the second place in the market cap. There's  a big possibility that someday ethereum will take over bitcoin since now it's mostly used platform by many ICOs. However it takes a long time to happen.
152  Economy / Economics / Re: The advantages of bitcoin on: April 16, 2018, 10:52:04 AM
Freedom of payment - any amount of money can be paid and received instantly and anywhere. No bank holidays, no borders, no imposition. Bitcoin allows its users to completely control their money.

Transparency and neutrality - all information about the money supply itself is stored in a block chain, and anyone can check and use it in real time. No individual or organization can control or manipulate the bitcoin protocol because it is password protected. This makes bitcoin's core believed to be completely neutral, transparent and predictable.

Those two advantages that I  like most from bitcoin. We become our own bank. We don't need a middle man for any transactions. Besides we can transfer across the border. Then best thing bitcoin minimize corruption because of its transparency and neutrality.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long bitcoin will survive ? on: April 16, 2018, 10:16:24 AM
Bitcoin will last for years, because it solves problems, that other forms of payment have. So, I don’t think that bitcoin will ever go away. As an Internet child, it will go away only if the internet goes away.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become a daily currency??? on: April 09, 2018, 10:02:57 PM
I would argue no. Bitcoins are not good units of account or stores of value. The price of Bitcoins is very volatile (over seven times as volatile as the price of gold). The high volatility means Bitcoins do not function well as a store of value or a unit of account and so its use is likely to be severely limited in the foreseeable future.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who wants to be a Bitcoin Millionaire?! on: April 09, 2018, 09:22:51 PM
Not just a millionaire,  but I  want to be a billionaire from bitcoin. The thing is bitcoin has changed many people's life. Anyone can be a millionaire and even a billionaire in just a few minutes. I guess bitcoin is a way that  can create a millionaire in a very short time.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: felling depressed for holding bitcoin :/ on: April 09, 2018, 05:39:41 PM
I'm also holding a few bitcoins,  and it's really depressing now. In early year  of 2018 until today,  the price hasn't shown a significant increase. It often shows decreasing, and honestly it gets me panicked. However I believe the price will recover. I just don't know exactly when. Holding isn't easy especially when you see the price of bitcoin and altcoins are red. As long as we can be patient to wait for the high price, we will get more than we expect.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: April 09, 2018, 05:08:18 PM
I know a lot of people have different reason why the love and embrace bitcoin.
For me the decentralized nature of bitcoin and the thought of being able to send coins to anybody in any part of the word, no third party, no regulation(specific amount), no bullshit is mind blowing.

So do I. The most about bitcoin that impress me is its decentralized nature. Bitcoin is the first decentralized digital currency, as the system works without a central bank or single administrator. The network is peer-to-peer and transactions take place between users directly, without an intermediary, or no middle man.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as payment system on: April 09, 2018, 04:30:35 PM
In my opinion, bitcoin has already proven that it’s peer-to-peer payment system could wholly replace all known to man centralized forms of payments. Once the issue with Bitcoin’s scalability is resolved, we should see increased confidence in the coin as well as surges of its price
159  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Hacking is the Big Problem on: April 09, 2018, 03:44:45 PM
Cryptocurrency exchanges are for exchanging coins, not storing them for a longer period of time. To keep in mind, don’t leave your money in an exchange for a long time. Once you buy cryptocurrency in the exchange, just immediately keep it in your personal wallet. The most important thing is keep control on your private key, never give your private keys to anybody.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: teach your children about bitcoin on: April 09, 2018, 03:35:00 PM
hello guys , i just want to share what am i doing right now to my children, i have a 10 year old kid , he is david . this coming summer i want to teach him about cryptocurrency. especially bitcoin, from his young age i want to share him my knowledge about this kind of things. im happy that he is excited a little bit however it's so hard to explain but then i use some examples like video games as a reference about bitcoin. probably it might be the easiet way to understand how this things works. for example bitcoin is like a video games, you need to do a lot of research about bitcoin to know it and ask some people what  they know about bitcoin or  like experiences  , like games you need to do a lot of practice to mastered the games , can someone help me about this ?
I think the idea of teaching your children about bitcoin in that young age is inappropriate let them experience the fun and  enjoyment they are too young too manipulate or hold that kind of account. They should be playing with their friends and savoring the life of childhood . I think the idea of yours is right you just want to teach your children so that they will be ready on their future but this is not the right time.

I agree. It's not the right time to introduce and even teach a ten year old kid about bitcoin.  There will be the right time for them to know about it. I guess if we are trying to teach them about bitcoin,  we would get the negative effects instead of the positive ones.
