I do have to say, ASICs indeed shift the profit from those doing the actual mining to those making the mining gear.
It is a bummer. There is a lot of fun in designing, deploying, and maintaining a large GPU farm. I will be sad when ASICs obliterate that niche.

I am concerned by these developments, in light of LTC's initial purpose.
Is anyone in touch with the devs? Is there a way to get ahold of them for discussion?
Perhaps they have been bought off with some early pre-orders?

Can anyone reputable actually vouch for this?

Bought these, never installed them. I have 20 pairs available. They make a BFL single much quieter and much cooler than stock. Throw me an offer.....would prefer to sell them all together if possible.

I give you 0.8 BTC + shipping. Deal?

I'd do .5BTC
Have to go a bit higher than that.....I truly believe these are quite salvageable for the person with the right skills. Can you go .80?

Hi, what means "not mine well"? Bad kh/s? How bad? How old are the cards? Might be interested in taking them.
Yes, like 300 KH/s when it should get 650+ That sort of thing. They are all between 6-15 months old

Hey all,
I know some of you like to buy wonky hardware and attempt repairs. I have not the skills to repair them, and have no other use for them.
Thus, I offer them to the highest bidder. The goods are:
2x Visiontek 7970 2x HIS 7970 1x Sapphire 7970 1X XFX 7970
They are all identical reference cards.....just different stickers from the brands.
3 of them will pump out video, but not mine well......the other 3 seem to be hit and miss on booting up properly.
Make an offer.....or I will sell the whole batch for 1 BTC right now.

Offer still on the table
Sorry, Not to offend, But literally the price you are offering isnt good, People are taking risks just to see when they have an ROI. :/ Pretty easy. Don't buy it then.

yea 25% is a horrible number. We have been anywhere from 40-25% so you just chose the bare minimum.
Clearly you have a limited grasp on the maths.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't. Verify that they're 220, it's possible they're 120. Are they labeled under the receptacle?
I am 98% certain it is 220v. I will find out for sure tomorrow when my electrician takes a look.

Any specific reason why I could not use a PDU already utilizing an L14-30 cord end?

Lets hop back on topic.....
OP, Can you tell us what the square footage of this datacenter is planned to be and also let us know what kind of budget you are looking to work with....
Woodser
1500 SF.......I would like to keep cooling to $5,000 or less. I am looking for out of the box ideas here. This will not be your typical data center!

Hello all. I have recently acquired some new space, and it comes with a whole lot of these (wired and mounted, of course): There are actually 6 of them.....and I would like to use them to power my next build-out. I am seeking out the best advice on the most cost effective way to utilize these outlets to power many mining rigs. Points given for clarity, nice calculations in terms of capacity, and links to products that I may need to get my rigs plugged in a going. Thanks in advance!
