Guys, just look at BADeckers post history. Makes no sense to discuss with him. He is a fanatic and won't change his opinion. No matter what you tell him. In his fked up mind only he and some Youtube-experts know the whole truth and everything that science (real scientist!) has discovered so far is bullshit. He probably hasn't read a proper science paper in his whole life but tries to prove his point with more and more shady sources.

Just let this thread die, it's a shame that this title really sparks an discussion. It's a perfect example how the availablity of information in our digital world can become a problem. Some people can't process this sheer amount of information anymore and can't see the difference between fiction and reality anymore.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: August 20, 2020, 05:36:30 PM
But this is unlikely to change anything for those who must leave. At least 5 people from the starting lineup must leave. Whether Barcelona can buy an adequate replacement and whether they can fit into Barcelona's game quickly enough is a big question.

Depends on how you define 'quickly'. The upheaval now at Barca will take time. For me they aren't favourites for next years title at the moment. When Ronaldo left Real they also needed a season to adjust and replace him as a team. And in Barceloa we might see even more important changes in the team. Even before their humilating defeat in the UCL and a season without any title, Barca had plans to get rid of a lot of their player. Now Pique, Suarez ... heck, even Messi might leave them. I am curious how the starting line-up will look next season. The new coach however could be a chance to integrate Coutinho, Dembele or Griezmann into the team again. As I said, challenging but interesting times ahead for Barca.

Fulham in for Pique, noooooo. I can’t take that rumour seriously, must be total rubbish. If he is to leave Barca surely he would have much better suitors than Fulham?

I am not sure if Pique really is looking for another team in the European top leagues. He won everything with Barca (3x UCL, 8x Spanish title, 6x Spanish cup and  so on). With Manchester United he was very successful in the Premier League as well. He won the World Cup and European Championship with the Spanish team and probably earned enough already. So I don't think he needs to go back to the Premier League. He is 33 years now. Maybe he wants to go the same way as Iniesta and move to Japan? Or maybe the MLS (he would be perfect for Beckhams Inter Miami imho)?
344  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Germany the NEW World’s Crypto Superpower on: August 20, 2020, 06:47:06 AM
Definitely not. I am from Germany and I can tell you how much money I had to invest the last years to get the unregulated tax questions about cryptos solved. It's good times for tax consultants. They make a mint of money. Besides, this government is backward concerning economic development anyway and I don't believe in the framework described in the article. There will be so many exceptions and special cases that crypto companies will first have to hire a bunch of lawyers to navigate through this legal jungle. I still believe that smaller countries like Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and maybe the Netherlands have a better chance of becoming a crypto-powerhouse.

Well, Germany isn't really a pioneer when it comes to the digital world. Most authorities probably still use fax  Grin. So it would really surprise me if the German government plays a leading role in Crypto adoption. However, if they see that this is potentially another way to earn taxes here, they will definitely do everything possible to tap that new source of income ....
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 19, 2020, 08:26:01 PM
As expected this will be an easy game for Bayern, already winning.

PSG or Bayern as the winner? I'm going for PSG.

Yeah, Bayern are in cruise control already and it's date with PSG in the final.

I'd love PSG to win the trophy as well, but then I don't think that will happen to be honest, Bayern are in a more perfect shape and mentality.

Don't rule Lyon out yet completely. They have their chances, they just aren't lucky enough to actually use one and score. If we see one goal for Lyon, the game is completely open again. Toko Ekambi for example had some great chances but to actually have a chance against Bayern, you can't throw them away like that-
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: August 19, 2020, 03:55:39 PM

The next weeks will be Donnie-time imo and I expect him to even be favourite in the betting markets again then. It's a bit annoying to have missed out on the higher odds, but 2.4+ looks good as well at this point. I am somehow rooting for a narrow Biden win just for the drama it would create, since Trump wouldn't accept the outcome of course. 2016 was already fun to follow but this election should top everything - I don't even need to bet on it, to already get excited. Popcorn ready.

Not sure how the latest polls look but CNN reported 2 days ago that Biden's lead over Trump has significantly decreased over the last month(s) (Source: https://edition.cnn.com/2020/08/16/politics/cnn-poll-biden-trump-august/index.html). So the Democrats shouldn't be too overly confident of victory

It will be interesting to see how Biden performs in the TV debates. That's something that would make me nervous if I were him.

If these are the alternatives, Koeman sounds like Jesus Christ on steroids.
I seriously do not understand Barcelona's board, they can bring whoever they want and their shortlist looks like this? How?
2 assistant managers and Henry who was kicked out from Monaco after 6 months after being 19th at the time. Brilliant.

Ronald Koemann is now officially confirmed as Barcas new head coach.

Source: https://twitter.com/FCBarcelona/status/1296016814602952705

It's such a shame that Koemann now leaves the Elftal, right before the Euro 20201 and the world cup 2022. He did a great job there and managed to build a strong team. I am sure they would've played an important role in the next tournaments (unlike the last ones). But after he said in an interview back in march that he hopes to become Barca coach one day, it's just logical for him to take the offer.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 18, 2020, 09:36:16 PM
Yeah, pretty disappointing from Leipzig. But the team is still very young and they lack experience in these kind of matches. This UCL season still has been a complete success for Leipzig and I hope they manage to keep their team together. They are a real asset to the Champions League and in general I always enjoy watching their games.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 17, 2020, 11:44:52 AM
It would be best for Messi if he left. I can't really see a club other than Manchester City who could bring him though.

Barcelona would never sell to Madrid and Messi would not go there anyway. It's not a type of transfer for Bayern, he's too expensive for Juventus while Ronaldo is there, Liverpool won't spend big, Chelsea will rather have Havertz and he would probably not go to United. PSG could be an alternative, but they would have to sell either Neymar or Mbappe which they probably won't.

It will be interesting to see how this will play out. I'd consider City as strong favorites.

If he leaves, it's most likely to Manchester City. With Pep he has a coach there where both know each other very well and when Guardiola was Barca coach Messis star really began to shine. Now after City failed to reach the semi finals of the Champions league again, Sheikh Mansour is probably willing to invest even more in the team.

But after that whole legal dispute and the CAS ruling it would be such a bad signal for financial fair play if City can keep throwing around money without any consequences.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 17, 2020, 07:11:38 AM
Yeah, it's hard to imagine Messi playing for a different club than Barcelona. But for Barca this could also be an opportunity to build up a new team that isn't completely centred around one player anymore. And after their humilating defeat against Bayern, Barca definitely needs a fresh start.

Just wondering who would be able to pay the €700 million buyout clause and the €50 million yearly salary for him Huh But ManCity seems like they have no problems in that regard  Roll Eyes

The move of Tahit Chong from Manchester United to Werder Bremen seems to be (almost) confirmed. He's already training in Bremen (https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/aug/16/tahith-chong-manchester-united-loan-to-werder-bremen)

Haven't followed him or Manchester United in general so can anyone tell me if he'll be able to help Werder in the Bundesliga? After their last season, which ended almost in relegation, Bremen will probably have a hard season ahead. Does anyone know if Bremen has an option to buy Chong after the loan?
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 15, 2020, 06:09:45 PM
Xavi will not go there at this moment, he is a smart guy and he knows he will get his chance sooner or latter. Would be really stupid of him to squander that chance at this moment when there is so much wrong in the Barca.

Why not Mauricio Pochettino? He's free right now and did a fantastic job with the Spurs.

But I think Barca needs more changes, not just the coach. Bartomeu should have the decency to step down. Especially after "Barçagate". Imho a fresh start isn't possible with him as president.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 14, 2020, 09:26:09 PM
The condition of these 2 clubs is too different.

German teams are doing great, maybe the 1 extra month after the league was and absurd advantage.

That's exactly what I was thinking and I posted here already weeks ago about this. Bayern looked so much fresher and 'hungrier', allways pressing the Barca players and never gave them time with the ball. These short holiday for the German teams definitely helped them. But it would be too easy for Barca to blame it all on their stressful La Liga match plan. They didn't stand a chance today, not at any moment of the game. But in general their form since the restart was very disappointing. I think the days of Setién as Barca coach are over with this match today.

Now I can't wait to see the semi-final with Bayern, presumably against their old coach and ManCity. That will be one hell of a match.

You should find other excuse mate. PSG even had longer holiday but they played so hardly against Atalanta. It's because Barca was playing shit. When I saw Fati subbed on to replace Busquet, I knew the situation wouldn't get any better. I mean, how can you replace a defensive midfielder with a winger? Damn if Seitien doesnt get sacked tomorrow then Barca's boards are out of their mind lmao.

It's not an excuse, just me trying to explain to myself what just happened. Barca has been struggling since the restart and the team is in desperate need of a change and new young, talented players. But on paper the team that played today should still be able to avoid being completely slaughtered by Bayern.

And yes PSG hat a longer holiday. But almost 5 months without games is rather counterproductive not relaxing.

Danke dir.

In the future, this trade war will spread to a military war between the US and China. Most likely, a major war between the two countries has occurred through the COVID19 virus in December 2019 (and we are also affected by this annoying thing).

Why do you think would Trump or the US want to escalate the tensions to a military conflict? For Trump only to get reelected? The US has enough problems already on their own soil, so going into a war they cannot win is definitely not what they want.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 14, 2020, 07:14:52 AM
Well, after Atletico managed to kick out Liverpool it was very surprising how poorly they played yesterday. At least for me. It seemed like they weren't giving 100%. Maybe because they though it's 'just' Leipzig? I don't know. João Félix was the only one who really wanted to win this time.

Leipzig showed some nice combinations but didn't really manage to create a lot of good chances. If they improve here, I can totally see them beating PSG, too. If Leipzig manages to move to the finals, I am sure Timo Werner regrets taking the early flight to London.

süper lig topscorer from trabzonspor join red-bull leipzig?

Quote
Sörloth potential Schick replacement at RB Leipzig - Trabzonspor expect profit
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/news/view?id=368007

If he would come to Leipzig and get an contract that would be an amazing thing and help for Leipzig.
It would be also some jump for him to the next Level and maybe some other Clubs in the future look at him.
Would be nice to see him playing in the German League.

Why not keep trying to sign Schick? I doubt that Sörloth will be much cheaper than the 25 million the Roma wants for Schick. And with Schick they already know what they get. Sörloth has fantastic stats in Turkey (24 goals and 9 assists in 34 matches) but - and no offense here - it's just the Turkish league. Both at KAA Gent and Crystal Palace he wasn't that good and you never know how he will cope with the Bundesliga.
