701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Veriblock IEO finish in 10 seconds, what's your take? on: April 03, 2019, 08:44:09 PM
I saw a clip in one telegram channel, where in the room about 50 Vietnamese guys bought these tokens through scripts. some got it, some not
I tried it myself yesterday, nothing happened, like everyone else.

Yeah. First come first serve IEO's are f**king shame (same as an IEO's by themselves actually, but even worse). Only manipulations, only fomo

Reminds me of the ICOs that also got sold out very quickly in the peak of the ICO-hype. I think IEOs will follow the same trend and the interest in them will ebb away over time.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Locking Bounty Rewards To Avoid Dumping on: April 03, 2019, 06:18:10 PM
When the project is established, it should be considered that this happens. If you do the appropriate measures. This will be avoided. If the project has great potential, investors should be happy and buy the currency below the ICO price.

If investors should be happy that they can 'buy the currency below the ICO price', what would, in your opinion, then be the reason to buy during the ICO at the first place? If they can rely on these dumps after the token sale, there is no incentive anymore to really invest in the ICO.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: April 03, 2019, 01:57:09 PM
Really nice that they extended the Vostok airdrop until the end of May and that they will now distribute another 10 mil VST tokens to the community.
704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull market is back? on: April 02, 2019, 05:55:38 PM

This recent price increase was nice. But I wouldn't be so sure that this was really the complete turn around. BTC now definitely needs to sustain this price level and not dump again in the next couple of days.
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What coin should I 'mine' with my laptops? on: April 02, 2019, 03:48:56 PM

Something both of these coins have all wallets and programs for mining with viruses. Well, sometimes virustotal reacts this way. Judging by the network hashrate, there is nothing to earn with laptops...

How exactly do you decide if mining on a laptop is still worth it for a specific coin? You are checking the total hashrate of the network? What would you say is the treshold on which mining on a laptop with the specs mentioned by the OP doesn't make sense anymore?
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] PolicyPal Network - Future of Insurance for Unbanked and Cryptoassets on: April 02, 2019, 03:01:09 PM
Good increase in price

Well, what you call a 'good increase in price' is only caused by the rise of the Bitcoin price. I really hope we can see soon the price growing independently from the BTC price.

Btw does anyone know when they will distribute the Supernode rewards? I thought it was scheduled for the end of March?
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Start Mining MIB Coin on your smart phone. on: April 02, 2019, 02:19:31 PM
It would be nice to call, use the phone as usual, while the phone is mining coins. But apparently that won't work. This is only possible with pseudo-mining Electroneum.
I think that this option will be unrealistic. Because mining is carried out on a device that is not designed for such loads. A parallel execution of some other tasks can send it to reboot.

Well, I figured the idea of the coin being mined on phones came from the idea of decentralization. When hundreds of thousands of people use phones that at the same time mined coins. And here it turns out quite the opposite. Judging by the picture, in the network there are huge pools of phones, and ordinary users are unlikely to profitably engage in mining. The impression that the coin was created in order to give some work for the old phones that don't just want to throw out.

I kinda like the idea of mining with a mobile phone. Traditional mining often requires a lot of expensive hardware so the idea of beeing able to mine with something that nowadays amost everyone has, sounds great. But it seems like that's not really possible.
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in ICOs decreased by 5800% on: April 01, 2019, 06:00:56 PM
If you look at the majority of tokens from ICOs from 2018 and the prices they are traded for now, it's no wonder people don't invest in ICOs that much anymore.
I want to understand what kind of people constantly sell their coins lower than the prices of the ICO itself. it's very stupid

Probably people who think they can outplay the market and 'sell now to buy-back at an even lower price'. This mindset is the main reason why people sell for a loss.

710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why did bitcointalk now had KYC verification? on: April 01, 2019, 02:58:38 PM
They are basically saying its an april fools joke but it is not impossible that for now on, bitcoin talk will going to implement this system to verify the accounts. Well, indeed I can say it is still commended as a precaution for people with multiple accounts, be alert to be honest nowadays, use one account to be prepared for this.

Yeah sure, no way that they won't consider to implement KYC for real. This is a forum for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. A lot of the people are here because they value their privacy and don't want the government or big companies to have all their data.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡ WePower - First GLOBAL blockchain for GREEN ENERGY future! ⚡ on: March 31, 2019, 09:51:23 PM
Yes mate you are right the eth price will be impacted all tokens under eth platform and all cryptocurrency market will depending on Bitcoin price, I am sure that the wepower token will be going to hit all time high very soon because of the wepower team doing great work there.

You're a dumbfuck. So it doesn't matter what you think. Didn't you say that Hindi is India's national language? Why should the opinion of someone so misinformed matter anyway?

As far as the prospects of Wepower hitting all-time high .. I don't see a valid reason for which they should be doing that anytime soon. For that to happen it will have to climb more than 1328% - which is unrealistic for an altcoin with only $8 million dollar market cap at this point in time.

Yeah, a new all time high for WPR is pretty unrealisitic in the near future. To reach those prices, we'd need a completely different sentiment in the whole crypto market. But I would be happy already if we'd see the ICO price (in ETH) again. Und das ist nicht allzu weit hergeholt.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: UTRUST on: March 31, 2019, 10:50:30 AM
Is this true that they going to postpone roadmap and we will not see platform in this month? They have been promising to launch platform in Q1 this year, and now they saying that they dont have lisence?

That's why you should always be skeptical when any ico says that they will get licences later on. It's like many icos haven't even bothered to check how hard getting them would be.

It's the first time I hear now that they have to postpone the launch of their platform. Where exactly did you get these information from? And what kind of licence do the need to get first before they can go on with the release of the platform?

They are tentative and a bit not sure about their statement on their platform launch.  I am very much excited to see their platform going live this last month of the 1st quarter but to my dismay, they have postponed it and saying that probably it is between this month and May.  I keep on following them on their telegram channel and this is the current talk of the group.

So this means a maximum of 2 more months until the launch? I can live with that. Better to have a well prepared launch than one where the product has still a lot of bugs and doesn't work properly.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New project in 2019? on: March 30, 2019, 10:12:41 PM
How many new projects have you entered earlier this year? As much as in 2018?, please give your opinion about the new project that is currently available. Let's discuss its potential for the long term. Thank you.

You should to try your luck in IEO hype wave. It is most profitable area this year as for now actually, but never hodl this projects, only flip

But in the good IEO it's nearly impossible to get a spot. They are sold out very fast - I think the first IEO on Huobi, for example was sold out in a couple of seconds - and often you are just in a queue hopeing to get the chance that you can to invest.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What coin should I 'mine' with my laptops? on: March 30, 2019, 09:46:07 AM
With such laptops, you should only pay attention to coins that are mined exclusively on the CPU. I also experimented with laptops a couple of years ago, and quite successfully, by the way. Then I got some blocks on laptops. The coin that was mined, it seems the coin Biblepay. There was a very specific algorithm just for the CPU.

Wouldn't it be also possible to mine Monero with your CPU on a laptop? Nothing against BiblePay but Monero does look a bit more like a serious project.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: March 29, 2019, 08:22:53 PM
waves is at the 11th position in the chinese evaluation:

Waves is always in a good position in the chinese evaluation, ansome.
Vostock's Snapshot on late sunday nite, it's coming Smiley

I thought that vostok's snapshot was on 26th March (I think I saw it on Twitter)? Did I had it wrong? 'Coz if it's on Sunday then I will have to move back my WAVES

There is no such thing as ONE snapshot for the Vostok airdrop. They have taken snapshots on each day for the last couple of weeks and will take your average amount of WAVES into account when distributing the airdrop.
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBU - The Security Token Protocol and Licensed Security Token Exchange on: March 29, 2019, 07:57:19 PM
In telegram group of project and in bounty group, the read only mode is enabled. What is happening?

Check the announcement of Juan Engelbrecht from March 25th. Because they have raised only around 27k in their public round, they are focusing now on private investors and will use the Telegram group only for important announcements from now on.

Here is the full message from them (source: https://t.me/mobuCHAT):

'ANNOUNCEMENT

As management team, we are proud to announce that MOBU has partnered with an Investment bank, called Entoro Capital from the USA. The sole purpose of this partnership is for Entoro Capital to help MOBU to reach the fundraising goals for our amazing project.  Entoro Capital made some value propositions to refine the MOBU concept and to round off this outstanding project to ensure its inevitable success.  It is a well-known fact that the fundraising model has changed significantly over the past year or so and also that a month in fintech can result in a lifetime of differences.

Another well-known fact is that 2018 has been characterized as a very challenging year for cryptocurrency projects overall.   We trust that the community will know and understand that raising capital is of the first and foremost importance to ensure success.  In these challenging times it subsequently means that in most cases the fundraising period needs to be altered and extended to reach these goals.

MOBU is therefore no exception to the rule.  Only 27k USD has been raised through the public portal from retail investors thus far. MOBU once again gives all investors the assurance that their investments are safe and secure.  MOBU also would like to take this opportunity to thank the community, airdroppers and bounty hunters for all their hard work and support.  All these efforts, patience and understanding are indeed noted and appreciated by the MOBU team.  Since the focus for the next fundraising period will primarily be on private investors, the MOBU telegram communication group will only allow for important news updates from the side of MOBU from month-end. The MOBU team however believes that all uncertainties and questions from investors’ side have been clearly clarified over the past months.  However, if any potential investors still need any clarifications, they are most welcome to contact the MOBU team at info@mobu.io

The MOBU team will therefore conclude the fundraising privately with the support of Entoro Capital and other individual private investors to ensure the achievement of MOBU’s fundraising goals and future business success!  MOBU sincerely appreciates your continued support and understanding.

Best regards
The MOBU team'

ICRYPEX LAUNCHES MENAPAY IEO

ICRYPEX launches MenaPay IEO; where they will be selling MenaPay (MPay) tokens until the 15th of May 2019.
https://medium.com/@MenaPay_io/icrypex-launches-menapay-ieo-5c0cce3f26f3

Can anyone tell me how much they have raised so far in total? Like, is the softcap already reached? Their website doesn't really show much in this regard.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡ WePower - First GLOBAL blockchain for GREEN ENERGY future! ⚡ on: March 28, 2019, 08:02:12 PM
Once again, the price of the token showed very well, after a dump in a short time, it returned to previous positions. Congratulations to those who bought

Do you think the price will return to the ICO price?

The ICO price was 0.000125 ETH per token, right? We are not that far away from this price. Only if you look at the USD price then it's suddently not looking that good but this is only because the whole market including ETH dumped very hard.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] savedroid - BITCOIN SAVING MADE EASY! on: March 28, 2019, 07:40:42 PM
News are working in this project even now they have successfully launched their product too but this project is losing its grip into the market. If this will start moving with this trend than it will become hard to comeback on the track I think they should put some effort on marketing too.

But please, this time they should focus on 'traditional' marketing. Their whole exit scam marketing stunt was what damaged this project probably beyond repair.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔵🔵 OYSTER 🔵🔵 Anonymous Storage Generates Revenue for Websites on: March 28, 2019, 06:22:08 PM
That announcement really surprised me seeing all PRL/SHL holders will receive airdrop AKYA ERC-20 tokens today or tomorrow depending on the block height. That was claimed to be Bruno who is going ahead with new hardfork to introduce new tokens which will later be converted into native coin. Let's see how this ages this time a real thing or another joke.

Please don't trust Bruno anymore. These tokens that he wants to distribute now again are probably just another try of him to make some easy money.
