142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: September 21, 2017, 02:10:22 AM
WTF is happening to Real Madrid?

Now they lost at home against Real Betis?

To reach the bottom they only need to lose against a team like Malaga. I don't think they have a chance in La Liga even if they start to win everything, because they already dropped enough points
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: list of exchanges closing on sept30 on: September 21, 2017, 01:56:50 AM
now i know some site will close on 30, sept
ViaBTC (www.viabtc.com)
BTCC (https://www.btcc.com)

For BTCC I see:

BTCC.com is for International users (except Mining Pool). All Chinese users should go to BTCChina.com, a new exchange website dedicated to the China market

Will they close the International site but keep the Chinese open Huh

What about the big ones(at least in the past) like Hobi and OKCoin Huh
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN DISADVANTAGES on: September 21, 2017, 01:46:02 AM
Requires internet and electricity.
Requires responsibility. You'll be the sole responsible for your money and your investment, no 3rd party to complain or blame. Not everyone is prepared for this(not their fault mostly because the media and the educational system are machines to make people dependent and immature).
Transactions are stored forever in the blockchain. Probably will compromise privacy.
The cost of transactions. Bitcoin is not for all pockets, by design. This is not a bad thing because an experimental project shouldn't try to make everything perfect in the first try.
145  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nice ride but i'm dumping on: September 21, 2017, 01:39:24 AM
I think you should have a better plan than maybe get back in if prices go back to 2k, because if they don't you probably will have to buy back at higher prices, specially if this is indeed the low. I think buy back in increments as the prices fall would be better.

The fork drama already happened not long ago, the block size discussion is some years old and China is banning Bitcoin since 2013. Maybe everything is more or less already priced.

Maybe this:

4. I wanted some money, always comes in handy

Contributes to your gut feeling?
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Switzerland issues warning on fake cryptocurrencies, shuts down E-coin on: September 20, 2017, 05:42:29 PM
What is exactly a fake cryptocurrency?
Did they promised to deliver a coin only to grab money and never intended to deliver a coin?
Or was the problem the lack of a license Huh
147  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin ? on: September 20, 2017, 05:28:04 PM
When the price is lower and far from the previous ATH it is the right time to buy. Of course now is better than when the price was 5k.

Bitcoin recovered its value every time the price has fallen and there is no reason to think the growth is already over, so it is always a good time to buy bitcoins.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So low market cap is better for investment? on: September 20, 2017, 05:04:59 PM
Of course big valuations are easier with lower marketcap than with a bigger marketcap.
Compare how much the market price increased when the price went from $1 to $10 and from $10 to $1000, for example.

Of course if low market cap is better or not depends on your investor profile and your knowledge. Not all investor are willing to take the same risks.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin was centralized? on: September 20, 2017, 04:55:35 PM
There are several centralized Bitcoins. They are called banks, credit cards, paypals, etc...  Only difference in essence tis that BTC is decentralized and others aren't.

Maybe to formulate your question better.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone help me understand why the transaction fees went down after Segwit? on: September 20, 2017, 04:52:34 PM
Segwit allows transactions that are smaller is size, so more transactions can be put inside a block. Also the spam attacks(some people or group sending tons of transactions with low fee only to make the blacklog increase and rise the fees) stopped.
151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hackers want to get paid/ransom in bitcoins? on: September 20, 2017, 04:38:55 PM
Some hackers want, others don't. Much before Bitcoin ever existed black hat hacking was very profitable and ransomwares existed and thrived, among other plagues.

But for some reason the media only say about BTC Huh

By the way, the big ransomwares attacks this year in the end were more an annoyance because few people paid the ransom
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 20, 2017, 04:30:38 PM
Today is a good day for a parlay with so many favorites playing in the England Cup

Chelsea -  Nottingham Forest: Chelsea disappointed with their last goaless draw, but they'll have to take disappointment to another level to not win this game.. Chelsea -1 is decent too

Arsenal vs Doncaster: Arsenal could hold Chelsea. Doncaster is in awful form even for their lower tier patterns, so the result is clearly a win for Arsenal.

Manchester United vs Burton Albion: I would go for -2 or so asian handicaps

153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 20, 2017, 04:07:53 PM
Important games for today:

Juventus - Fiorentina : clearly Juventus will win because they are almost undefeatable at heir home, but Fiorentina improved and won two games in a row, so the only sure thing is the moneyline

Lazio - Napoli: a must-win game for both teams. I think both teams will be aggressive, so both teams to score is the best pick. Of course Napoli is favorite here, but Lazio is playing at home.

Beneveonto - Roma: After Benevento lost 6-0 to Napoli it is not hard to know what will happen: Roma will score lots of goals, Benevento won, Roma will have a big win.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: September 20, 2017, 03:54:31 PM
I think Real Madrid finally have things in synchrony after a Champions League win and a win against Real Sociedad without many key players.  With Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelona back, they should have no difficulty to get a big win today.

Things will be harder for Atletico Madri, because Athletic has made a solid start to the campaign, being very good defensively until now. With Atletico Madri making low score games recently too, then the most likely outcome is a defensive and tight game. Under 2.5 goals is the pick.
155  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's clear now China have higher amount bitcoin on: September 20, 2017, 03:38:53 PM
The trading volume before few years was dominated by the Chinese exchanges (+fake volume in some cases) but actually it is dominated by the Western one. For the bitcoin holders, it is hard to estimate which part of the world owns more bitcoin but what it is clear that BTC will not be affected so much in case of a total ban.

I think couple of years before it was China who use to hold more than 50% of the total btc available in the market. But after US & Japan has come in this space they have started to acquire their % and now mostly its widely spread between different counties and also few of the developing countries do have some share in the bitcoin trading.

I think you missed the part of fake volume. For years the Chinese exchange operated with low fee and when it ended the volume dropped like a stone, so there is no way to know in what extend they were the biggest player or the biggest manipulators.

There is no way to know the nationality of the biggest hodlers too because it is hard to connect addresses to nationality and people may have as many addresses as they want.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PSA: Don't buy "Cold Storage" wallets off eBay on: September 20, 2017, 03:20:25 PM
If the cold storage devices may have been tempered if sold on Ebay, then how can we know if any other didn't the same, or the manufacturer, or a rogue employer of the manufacturer?
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I told my grandma to put all her lifesavings in Bitcoin because you guys said on: September 20, 2017, 03:03:13 PM
Are you serious Huh

Bitcoin is about responsibility, so anyone that needs to "be told" how invest their money probably aren't mature enough for Bitcoin, at least in the current stage of development.

And how is she, or whoever is in custody of the funds, is protecting the investment? Aren't you using an exchange as wallet, are you?
158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 20, 2017, 11:05:13 AM
Lol Roger ver is talking about a second split in november

Any idea's here? Whats gonne happen

"Worst"(?) case scenario we all get fork coins and the prices got dumped(good buy opportunity) then skyrocket, like happened with the Bitcoin Cash fork
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So when do you "actually" plan to cash in your bitcoin? > or <$1,000,000 on: September 20, 2017, 11:02:21 AM
The question is, if bitcoin price reaches 1M/coin, will you be able to prove to the government and to the banks that your coins have been obtained in a legit way?

I think most won't, so you'll have tons of money and will have a hard time to spend it.

Better cash out a little by little while your reserves grow
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End of Dragon Era? on: September 20, 2017, 08:45:05 AM
Japan can't compete in prices with China, they have cheap almost slave labor and China keep their currency artificially devalued in relation to dollar. Unless they make a breakthrough on ASIC technology or the rumors about China cracking down everything about BTC comes true they probably won't be competitive
