41  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL, HODL you %$@#$ on: November 26, 2017, 06:46:50 AM
But most of bitcoins I have I can't prove they have a legit origin and therefore can't be spent unless in small amounts over time. What would be the point to have a fortune but don't be able to spend it?

Even a single bitcoin would be too much to cash out fully, if the price indeed reaches 500k dollars
42  Local / Brasil / Re: Homem mata mulher e rouba seus BTC on: November 26, 2017, 06:34:45 AM
43  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Taxas / fees on: November 26, 2017, 06:26:36 AM

44  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Qual valor o bitcoin atingira em 2018? on: November 26, 2017, 06:18:19 AM
Se nem depois da Black Friday o preço parou de subir, então não tem porque acreditar que ele irá parar de crescer em dezembro. Mais alguns milhares de dólares, talvez uns 12 ou 15, se não mais.
45  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Domínio bitcoin.com.br on: November 26, 2017, 06:16:02 AM

47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Message to Satoshi, please dump your 1million bitcoins on: November 26, 2017, 05:24:47 AM
At this point it doesn't matter anymore. I think the private key of the 1M coins are lost and will never be moved.
But even if they do, would only create a momentary fuss and some media attention. In the long term might indeed be beneficial.
48  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC at 9000! on: November 26, 2017, 05:24:24 AM
Are you sure?

I see the ATH at $8877 on Bitstamp.

But still strange because end of year is bearish for markets because people spend money on stuff for gift and in travels, specially after the black friday. There should be a correction now Huh
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 26, 2017, 05:03:51 AM
Genoa v Roma:

Genoa is utterly bad this season, with a string of 4 losses ended by a narrow win against fellow strugglers Crotone, but still the odds for Roma are only 1.7.
I think Roma won't have problems to win this even with bench

Lazio - Fiorentina:

Lazio is disputing a place in the Champions league and still are title contenders. Despite being winless in two games,  against Roma and Vitese in the Europe League, will be a hard game for Fiorentina, that lost 4 of the last 6 meetings against Lazio. A straight ML for Lazio is the best option here.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: November 26, 2017, 03:07:23 AM
Villareal v Sevilla:

Javi Calleja from Villareal still is undefeated in the league as Villareal's head, and Villareal still is undefeated this season, and Sevilla has struggled to  find a consistent goalscorer recently. Villareal should get the win today, as they did 80% of times in their home ground.

Velencia v Barcelona:

Hard to tell the result, specially at Valencia's home. Better go for total goals, that will be high, considering their last meetings and Barcelona's attack. Valencia might get something from this game.
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 26, 2017, 02:35:29 AM
Huddersfield v Manchester City:

Should be a wind for Manchester City, but not an easy one playing as away side and considering that Huddersfield won against Manchester United. At home Huddersfield is stronger and should put a fight against Manchester City. The best pick is both teams to score.

Burnley v Arsenal

Burnley only lost twice this season and only once at home, back in August. Arsenal have been irregular outside home, with only 1 win in their last 6 away games. Burnley double chance should be worth the pick for this game.

52  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next FUD? on: November 24, 2017, 06:59:52 AM
It is already

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2452949.0

Because no one believe in China banning Bitcoin, now they say that India and Russia will ban it in the near future and anyone caught with bitcoins may have trouble
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can I claim my Bitcoin-gold from Blockchain wallet? on: November 24, 2017, 06:54:43 AM
You need the private keys associated with your balance at the time of the fork. Used to be easier to get.

I think someone already posted a tutorial here

54  Economy / Speculation / Re: 5 digits on: November 24, 2017, 05:35:02 AM
I am just wondering if there will be a 10k selloff or if it will eat straight through it, unlike sub 5k levels, BTC has become a lot more tame - slow but steady

10k is a barrier in the logarithm sense, and 5k is just another another number that isn't much different from 2k or 9k. A selloff or great resistance near 10k is more likely, but of course others things may have more influence and make the 10k barrier be crossed fast
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India and Russia ban Bitcoin on: November 24, 2017, 04:54:29 AM
Upon reading the news India is planning to regulate crypto and not actually banning bitcoin. Their headline is misleading.

The Russia new is actually scarier since they are not banning the actual bitcoin but they are planning to ban the websites that offer bitcoin.

It left more question, will they ban mining as well?
How about trading websites?

We may also see this happen with other countries in the following years.

They block sites related to bitcoin and gambling since some years ago, it is nothing really new. People could still use VPN or tor to access them. Also India is going after the exchanges, if the piece of news is reliable, but won't ban bitcoin itself and there is no way to know if they will regulate it in the future.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: November 24, 2017, 04:26:44 AM
Celta Vigo vs Leganes:

Celta Vigo is strong at home this season, and Leganes come from 3 consecutives defeats, against Barcelona, Sevilla and Valencia. Should be a hard win for Celta Vigo, but they still should make it, so the best line is Celta Vigo moneyline
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 24, 2017, 04:03:26 AM
West Ham v Leicester City

The last win from West Ham was in September, against Swansea and is winless since. Leicester, under new management, improved and now is 4 points ahead of the relegation zone. West Ham has injuries concerns too, so things should be easy for Leicester.
Considering their poor defense even with full squad, the best pick is Leicester and over 2.5 goals
58  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin falls 20% a day on: November 23, 2017, 04:38:31 AM
It happened recently, more or less, when the price went to as low as $5600, but recovered to above $8000. This happened more than once this year and the price recovered fast.

Better thing to do it it happens again is hold or try to get some profit by trading, but the price may recover again quicker than you expect, like in the micro dump after the bitcoin gold fork
