201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Barcelona in La Liga, should they stay or not? on: September 17, 2017, 09:31:37 AM
They should make an Iberic League or something and keep things as they are, or the result would be utter boredom because Barcelona would just steamroll everyone. La Liga already has little competition because Real Madrid or Barcelona almost always win, without Barcelona things would be even worse, too.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ★☆★ Brazilian Soccer Predictions Thread ★☆★ on: September 17, 2017, 09:21:58 AM
Today's mos attractive game from all leagues( together with Chelsea v Arsenal, maybe) surely is Corinthians vs Vasco, at least from the perspective of betting.

There have been less than 3 goals scored in 8 of Corinthians last games and they currently have trouble to create goals oportunizes, so they will have a hard time creating goals opportunities and under 2.5 goals again is almost sure.

On the other hand, Vasco improved a lot with the new additions to their squad and will be harder opponent now, so the history shouldn't be taken into consideration too much this time, specially considering that Corinthians lost 3 of 4 previous game in the Brazilian soccer league.

So the good picks here are:

under 2.5 goals
Vasco +1 or +1.5 asian handicap
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The price of bitcoin decreases on: September 17, 2017, 08:54:46 AM
You are looking at the wrong time frame or suffering from selection bias, or maybe was unlucky to enter the market. There is no need to go back when the prices were sub $10, this year bitcoin went from around $1000 to above $1000, I doubt any conventional non-crypto investment did better this year.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China vs BTC? on: September 17, 2017, 08:45:45 AM
They are not, or at least they claim they don't.

They just want to regulate it and avoid Bitcoin to be used in illegal activities, so they create news rules and demand news licenses.

Maybe they want to make impossible buy and sell bitcoins by making impossible to get all the licenses and follow all the rules, but there is no way to know right now.

206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the news that JPmorgan bought btc true? on: September 16, 2017, 07:01:32 PM
People posted this as "proof" in the wall observer thread:

But we all know that images can be edited and even if it is legit, might be them buying bitcoins for their customers, not for themselves. So still no hard proof.

But I doubt they would worry enough to call it a scam if they didn't wanted to buy BTC,
207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 16, 2017, 06:49:21 PM
Results for today:

Crystal Palace 0 - 1 Southampton
Huddersfield 1 - 1 Leicester
West Bromwich Albion 0 - 0 West Ham
Newcastle United 2 - 1 Stoke
Liverpool 1 - 1 Burnley
Watford 0 - 6 Manchester City
Tottenham   0 : 0 Swansea(surprise of the day)

For tomorrow the best line is Chelsea straight moneyline. Arsenal since the last season is known for their unexpected poor results, specially away from home, and they lost both games against teams in the top of the table.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: September 16, 2017, 06:36:48 PM
The only game not finished for today is Atletico Madrid vs Malaga.

Malaga comes from 3 defeats in 3 games in this season, while Atletico still is undefeated, with 2 draws and 1 win(5-1 against Las Palmas, and Las Palmas won against Malaga 3-1 earlier this season).

Should be an easy win for Atletico Madrid, specially at home

Lines

Atletico Madrid moneyline
Atletico Madrid and over 2.5 goals
Atletico Madrid -2.5 asian handicap

213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If China Bans Bitcoin Exchanges, will they also ban Bitcoin mining? on: September 13, 2017, 06:49:40 AM
Would be needles to ban Bitcoin mining. If you can't sell your bitcoins then there is no point in mining because you need to pay electricity and other expenses, specially if you are a professional, and Bitcoin mining isn't for amateurs anymore, and a ban of BTC exchanges would be enough to scare most people to stay away from Bitcoin because China is far from being a democracy.

But there is no evidence that China will ban exchanges, only rumors based on anonymous sources that probably doesn't even exist
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: September 13, 2017, 06:35:19 AM
I was not surprised by Juventus to defeat a few hours ago, as I had predicted it since Bonucci defensive Juventus defense was not as strong as last season so Barcelona easily broke into Buffon's goal 3 times.

Juventus was without 4 key players, with full squad things would be different and the most sure line would be both teams to score, in my opinion.

Also some good games today:

Liverpool vs Sevilla
FC Porto vs Besiktas
RasenBallsport Leipzig vs Monaco
Tottenham    vs Borussia Dortmund

It is not easy to find favorite on these games
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We saw the bright side .. We did not see the dark side yet. on: September 12, 2017, 06:08:06 AM
Many people saw the dark side of Bitcoin:

when they lost their private keys because they didn't backup them
when they got hacked and lost everything
when they put all their money in an exchange and thet got goxxed
when they got scammed
etc..

if you only see bright things then you are lucky and luck never lasts forever
216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effects of ICO to Bitcoin on: September 12, 2017, 05:59:37 AM
Little to no effect. Ethereum and Waves are more used for ICO's so their price is more dependent of them.

Maybe indirectly, if people enter the crypto world because of Bitcoin.
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was born in the year ? on: September 12, 2017, 05:44:22 AM
I've heard of it, bitcoin was born in 2009 by someone named satoshi nakamoto. But to be honest I'm not sure about that, so if any article shows the truth about it please let me know. Grin Wink
You can read it Here https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2011/10/10/the-crypto-currency you can search other articles if you want and not satisfied with this one, in that article it says bitcoin was created on january 3 2009 i don't if its true but you can have an idea who is satoshi nakamoto and whats his purpose

The wikipedia article does well enough. I know wikipedia is not really reliable, but I trust them much more than any big media and wouldn't give them views if I could avoid doing so

218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally Bitcoin is in the schools for students to explore on: September 12, 2017, 05:39:48 AM
"we are doing learning from numeracy and literacy to QR code building and java coding.”
I can't believe that a child under 10 years old is pushed to do that in an attempt to force bitcoin in people's lives, as a matter of fact they will grow up into hating it rather than exploring it's potential, if i ever had a child i wouldnt send him to that school.

I don't see anywhere that the school is compulsory. Some 10 years old are able to do combinatory stuff very well, in fact some math genius did much harder things when they were child.

If the children have capacity and want to, they should have all the right to learn such advanced things.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am an Chinese, and I know what happened, and I will buy more crypto assets. on: September 12, 2017, 05:28:39 AM
If the Chinese governmente wanted all the exchanges would be closed in less than 24 hours and their owners arrested. They have the power if they want to.

Any rumors about Bitcoin being banned in China with no concrete action is just FUD and a good buy opportunity.

220  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: September 12, 2017, 05:24:41 AM
Mostly the electrum wallet. Sometimes some online wallet like blockchain.info, but mostly because I created the addresses in the past and I'm too lazy to change them.

Maybe I'll install the core in the near future too.
