If you're good at technical stuff and have ideas or skills related to zkSync and blockchain technology, you can apply for this program. It doesn't matter hoe you are they just need skilled people.

OT: Sold my old 750mm newtonian telescope, which i never got adjusted right for astrpphotography and swapped the dirty fiat and some extra bucks for the next size (1000mm) with a shorter focuser tube, which doesn't produce misshaped stars and was able to be adjusted (almost) perfectly in a matter of minutes. We had some clear nights over here again, so i stopped processing the older data and captured some more. Introducing IC 1396, the "elephant trunk nebula". Not even two hours of data made me show some details of this rather faint nebula: Enjoy while hodling  EDIT: Due to only 28 2-minute subframes, stacked on top of each other, the algorithm didn't fully erase the satellite streaks, which you can see as dim, straight lines covering the sky background, if you take a closer look. When looking through the subexposures, i made out a satellite trail on about every third picture. Means eery five minutes or so this small area of sky is crossed by Elon's little worker bugs and their "collegues".  Always enjoy your telescope image posts bro. Great job. My Orion 10” Dobsonian telescope had been sitting around for many years as I just couldn’t be arsed to play with it anymore. As it was collecting dust and taking up space, (instead of providing images of space) I recently donated the telescope, making sure the recipient promised me to put it to good use. He told me his nephew was totally into astronomy and would love it. I said it’s all yours then. (I trusted he wasn’t going to just sell it on EBay) So now there’s the upcoming total solar eclipse this coming April across a swath of N.A and I got no telescope. Oh well, I remembered to stock up on eclipse glasses because last time (2017 solar eclipse) those things sold out weeks ahead of time. |

So, my older brother is coming for a week visit. He likes the upstairs space/bedroom/office I created in the new garage. Works for both of us. However the one downside is it's a long way to the loo. So I did a quick fix for that with a simple sign. Off topic (as usual for me), BUT the pic isn't...so there is that. So I set up a little polishing station in the new garage. Here's the medallion I made for myself 3 years ago. (I made El Duderino the twin. Most of the OGS in here have likely seen them already from past posts) I got obsessed with You Tube restoration videos and polishing to a mirror finish. So had to try it myself, and what better piece to try it out on than a work made, CNC milled, stainless steel medallion? I almost got desired result, but taking a pic doesn't do it justice, as the mirror finish plays havoc with the lighting. Plus I don't want to publish a mirrored selfie of myself in the piece, taking a pic. Not good for opsec, lol.  That looks awesome! New nickname for you - Al Bedo. I made a half-assed (best I could do given time constraints) side by side of an original vs the upgrade -  Nice job bro! I’m not very busy tonite at work. This downward pressure on the market will likely hold prices somewhat in check until the end of the year. I’d imagine once this is behind us (and the mtgox coins are distributed) it should be the final hurdle before launch.
