So much work...I am getting too old for this s-t.
Can retire now, no question about it, but my dad's health really deteriorated after he retired, don't really want to go that route.

Men typically take it (stopping regular work) much harder, need at least a significant hobby or a couple of those, I hear.
I would have picked golf, maybe, but it is so darned hot here in the summer.
Mining is also becoming so industrialized that it is not much fun to small-mine.
Maybe nodes or lightning nodes?

In any case, bitcoin is on the mend, that's all that matter...in the long run.
Daily fluctuations are...fluctuating.

Cheers, WO!

Good luck to you bro. Whatever you do, do it with a passion.
I could have retired 3 years ago but I actually like my job now.
Wo-bros may have seen some of my "government work" all done "on my lunch hour" over the years, because I love creating things.
And my job has provided me the tools to do that.
With passion, and I still have my health, my precious talented daughter, and I'm thankful for that.

I wish you all the best in your retirement years my friend.

I got a chuckle then just ignored it.

And it's not April 1st yet. Maybe this is just the beta version......oh wait, time zones...nevermind.

I'm waiting to see what theymos does for April fool's day.

Here's what burger king did a few years ago.

Think I'd rather have McDonald's April Fool's. I quite like pickles anyway.

Here we go.

Theymos starting a little early I see.
Lets have a spammer party bros!!   lol

....
Indicting a former President (who is really still President). More popular than ever!
But this indictment will move Trump to the presidency in 2024.

.....

Quoted.... Because everything you post is utter laughable bullshit the gospel...

(also... RIP OP. I do miss your "colorful" posts )
505  Other / Politics & Society / Trump is indicted on: March 31, 2023, 10:47:55 PM

The republican party has been cultivating this base for decades and Trump is a perfect match for it. The system works as designed. Too bad the GOP "designers" were morons too but that's a whole other story.

This is true, however don't forget in the days when Trump 1st announced his candidacy coming down that escalator, (gag me)
many leading republicans denounced him as a clown or some such thing, and bad for the party.
Of course once he (Trump) caught on amongst the 'base", and they realized he was gaining popularity they all changed their tune and started kissing his ass.
Lindsey Graham comes to mind. What a spineless brown nosing flip flopper.
Though I do give him credit for actually showing up as a guest on The Daily Show.
Probably because Al Franken was hosting and apparently, despite their political differences, they were friends when Franken was a senator.

But I digress... I believe this indictment is just the beginning. A warm up act if you will, just to test the waters for the big one(s) to follow.
To wit, planning a failed insurrection, attempted election interference in Georgia, stealing/not returning classified docs and tax evasion.

A no nonsense explanation of what happens now with the indictment going forward, from a former federal court prosecutor with 30 years experience...

.....
Nonsense. Being confronted by another ideology than the one you subscribe to, triggers you or gets you to react at least.

.....
I have close friends who don't subscribe to my ideology and we get along fine. We don't make a lot of noise about it.
But yeah agreed, if they wouldn't shut up about it, I'd get triggered.
And speaking of being triggered, I didn't even quote you in my post.

<---- See the ignore link to the left.

There, I offered a remedy for the constant things you complain about and you can stay in your own reality bubble without it being questioned in this thread, or at least a bit less.  Smiley

Thanx for the advise bro, but I don't ignore anyone in this forum. I don't like echo chambers.
...and I got a good oiled scroll wheel ...  (sorry Jay....)
507  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Trump be indicted ? on: March 31, 2023, 02:40:20 PM
....... If you are an American and this makes you happy instead of embarrassed, you probably need to get tested for TDS.

I've been embarrassed for this country (usa) ever since that clown got elected, and now he just won't go away.
The sooner this pos shyster fades into oblivion in the political theater, the better for this country.
I honestly don't understand why the republican party cannot just wash their hands of this failed player and back a real candidate that has maybe a little bit of integrity and knows how to spell.
Oh yeah... "the moronic uneducated cult of Trump base"

Bitcoin is not a currency. It's just a highly speculative asset with a fundamental value of zero.

I was thinking...
Its nothing to do with ideology, but anyone that constantly firehoses political noise, Daily Rag links etc, no matter what reality bubble they live in,
but never offer their idea of a remedy to all the crap they constantly complain about, bugs the shit outta me.

Just sayin...

Me and roommate were big time Zappa fans. (I still am actually)

Very accurate video on what it's like buying a concert ticket in 2023.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lww22_pJr3s&ab_channel=RyanGeorge
Ah yes rock concerts… I remember getting in line, for tickets the night before for good seats, back in my youthful daze.
Watch one’s fave band play live from a mile away in a stadium, get a shitty mix, get all phucked up on drugs, get one’s
ears blown out and hang out with a bunch of screaming drunks who end up puking in the parking lot and passing out
before the really shitty warm up band has even finished their set.
Yeah…. those were the days…..

Of course it won’t be enough.
You will continue spamming up this place with all your garbage misinformation conspiritard links as usual.
Just seeing a link in your post is enough to tell me it’s complete bullshit, so spoiler alert… I don’t click any of them.

Went to "create" some AI art with Midjourney for shitz and giggles, but alas, my free trial ran out.
Just as well really. That thing is just sort of plagiarizing on a certain level anyway, aint it?
Now I have a gallery of all the pics I "created".
If I sign and post them, I wonder if the AI bot will be like "hey!  that's my work, you rip off artist bastard!"  lol

You think I don’t know that? See my post.

I know you know that. I just don't think you appreciate the implications. That the EC is in place affects everything from the candidates chosen to the campaigns and how people turn out. One of the (many) factors thought to be a factor in Hillary's defeat is that she basically said "fuck it" to campaigning in several states (her being a horrible candidate should not be ignored, of course, let alone fucking over Bernie). Get rid of the EC and it's a totally different election. The votes don't transfer over, however much you'd like that to be the case.

...seriously dude?

Hey, you were the one glibly dismissing (and insulting) the longstanding institution of the EC.

Ok fair enough. My original post was merely to dispute oom’s statement that at least 50% of voters in USA get the government they voted for, which, due to the weird rules of the EC, is not always the case.
I personally think it’s absurd one can lose the popular vote but still win the election.
So yes, I will “glibly dismiss the antiquated longstanding institution of the EC” because imo, it’s bullshit.

Also, I don’t get your “votes don’t transfer over” statement.
Simply put, if there was no EC, the moron T***p loses the 2016 election.
