I am having an issue with poison ivy spreading and had your post quoted but the fucking itching was getting too much and had to go take off for the day anyway. Funny thing is I've never had an issue with ivy before. Even when my friends caught it I never did so this is surprising. I just decided to ignore it the last few days figuring it would go away but it has started spreading. So I think What happened is when I scrubbed it I used hot water which spread the oil. From what I gather now after doing some research is you have to use cold water and soap on the oil and then dry the skin out with something like alcohol or vinegar. And some say to use mint so I am doing an experiment and using alcohol on one arm and lotion with mint on the other after scrubbing them with cold water and dishwashing soap. I wonder if getting old just makes you more susceptible to shit and thats why I caught it when I never have before? When I was young I literally rubbed the shit on my arm to prove to my friends that I don't catch it when they had it and said I was lucky I didnt touch it. Had a buddy that wouldn't believe I was immune, the poor bastard was covered and told me he even got it on his prick just from taking a leak with it on his hand. If that happens I'll be going straight to the fucking ER! It’s funny you just posted a poison ivy story in this here famous thread, as just last week, I got it all over my ankles. That sucked! First time getting it in like 40 years. It’s been so long, I was convinced I was immune to that nasty shit. So… memo to myself… Never, EVER do weed whacking wearing shorts. WTF was I thinking?? I would be more terrified of the idea of there being a place in which I have to continue spending the rest of eternity, conscious. But then again, we know almost nothing about life and or even the universe. That lack of knowledge is our source of the discomfort about death, essentially. It's tough to admit even to yourself that all you are and all you have worked and striven for will mean nothing in the end but if you can look at the scale large enough you will see that in the end nothing matters and with that knowledge comes freedom. Even the smallest action has significance in this endless multiverse of ours. Travel back in time and you could profoundly change the future with tiny decisions. If you were to travel back in time millions of years ago and step on a bug, it could change the entire future of humanity. And the further back into the past you go, the bigger the future-changing impact becomes... So even a single insignificant ant will have significantly formed the future, billions of years from now, through his tiny actions. I would even go as far as to wager that each atom is something without which the universe could not exist if they were not where and what they were supposed to be. Everything in existence is working together towards the common goal of "keeping the game running". I have had a similar view that everything from the creation of the universe is a wave that has eminated from that one point and all we do as a bunch of particles within this force is effect the waves behind and in front of us by either increasing or decreasing those waves intensities with our decisions and movements. But even though, in the end it all comes to a halt and starts all over again from zero. *yeah I've done alot of psychedelics in my day.

I remember that. (as I'm sure most WO legends do) I occasionally delete my asshat posts (due to excessive, celebratory, expresso nips, celebrating the fact I'm still alive to celebrate) the next day, when I am of sound mind. Mind you, I don't think my deletion numbers come close to that epic deletion spree that caused the page count of this here famous thread to be reduced by not an insignificant amount. (No names shall be mentioned, of course. Incidentally, the user has ranked right back up again to very respectable numbers.)
