1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XJO] Joulecoin | SHA256 | First SHA256 data coin | Major upgrade 0.10.4.2 on: June 13, 2019, 02:18:54 PM
The Cryptopia situation has hit hard indeed.
I have been looking for other exchanges to get listed on, but currently with no success. (Mostly because of listing fee, and high volume requirement.)

I have sent an message to YoBit, and explaining why their node isn't up-to-date.

Checked Yobit today -- I won't trade there, but I have an account -- and our wallet is off-line again.

Checked YoBit today, and appears as if they are updating their wallet.

Message when trying to get deposit address:
Deposit is temporarily disabled because wallet status is Maintenance

If the wallet update is successfully done, all the coins which were missing earlier should be available (in-time) in your YoBit account.*
* Since they had a backlog due to their wallet being unable to sync correctly to latest Block-height.
TheCoin has xjo listed but no one trading it there. Yobit is saying the wallet is under maintenance but that is the same as many other wallets there and yet they still trade those coins. I been waiting on yobit for awhile now to fix the xjo wallet and several others. For now I guess its sit on the coins and hope.
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://bitmain-affiliation.com - legit or scam site? on: January 05, 2018, 07:00:08 PM
Personally I think this says it all about this site.

12. Force Majeure
12.1. Bitmain Affiliates is exempted from fulfilling its obligations under this Agreement and is entitled to cancel the Purchaser confirmed orders without any liability, in the event of force majeure such as strikes, floods and fires, wars, riots, interruptions in transport, shortage of material or energy sources affecting Bitmain Affiliates or its sub-suppliers, accidents or other occurrences which affects sub-suppliers production, bankruptcy or compulsory liquidation of a sub-supplier, accidents of any kind, governmental decisions which affects manufacturing or use of the Products and, in general, such events that were unforeseen at the time of the order which prevents or hinder manufacturing, transportation or delivery of the Products to the Purchaser.

Taken from the website itself in the terms and conditions.
This gives them any excuse they desire to cancel your order and not return your funds.

Saw this and wanted to ask if you intend to sell the usb style pcie risers in the future. Finding a reliable source for these has been dificult. I am in Washington State SW corner.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: YoBit.Net - CRYPTOCURRENCY EXCHANGE & MultiCoin DICE - Free Coins every 1-24 hrs on: June 20, 2017, 03:34:41 AM
Anybody who willingly uses this site is asking to have their coins stolen. Even Zcash which is fairly hot right now is messed up there. I have lost coins here 3 times. 2 of those times were coins that were not being traded elsewhere. So I got an addy from yobit and sent coins. Never saw the coins again and all you get from a yobit support ticket is an argument with a robot.

These are thieves plain and simple. Yet people still support them or is it that they only service you after you pay a blackmail fee?

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ***TRUMP COIN***TRADING**TRUMP COIN***MAKING CRYPTO GREAT ONE BLOCK AT A TIME** on: March 19, 2016, 10:59:08 PM
My guess is that it has been chicken65 dumping his premine all along. That is why he never released a real explorer. It takes like 15 minutes to set up a real explorer.

Sorry but that is just not true, the Dev  has invested a lot more BTC and time than the couple of BTC worth of dumping, do you really think he’d be tempted by a few hundred dollars, that’s laughable and I hope you can see it as such.
The Dev hired a Tech Guy and I believe the block explorer was on his to do list but these last few days saving the coin from this miner has rightly become paramount.
Together with Signal7 they have explained exactly what has been going on and their efforts to keep the coin going.
If the they decide a line in the sand and it’s crossed, I fully understand the  reasons for pulling away, personally I’ll be out of pocket but that’s life, I too got involved as Crypto has lost its way and this was a breath of fresh air but unfortunately some miners don’t want to play ball and sustain a coin that has a lot of potential.
Sadly the miner can’t see that, so it’s his loss too
All effort is being made to keep it running I hope they succeed   Smiley

Miners are generally not investors. They run a piece of equipment designed to earn them money. Selling coins pays the power bills and helps replace dead or outdated equipment. In my case I quit mining this as I saw it as a coin that deserved a bit more dev time.
There are a great many coins that are fully supportive of miners and their needs and it is sad to see that people here slam on miners as being the source of declining prices and failure of coins. Please keep in mind a pow coin fails if it isn't mined and miners have to sell to pay their bills.
That said I have read enough to make me not want anymore to do with this coin. Have experienced this before and what followed was a sorry thing to watch. Good luck and i hope things go better here than some of my past experiences did.

Well appears my wallet is on the right chain and is right version but now I am getting an error.

Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade.

IMPORTANT

Current block is 16548

Please make sure you are running the latest wallet version. If your wallet is reporting out of sync or the wrong block height then you need to re-sync your wallet.

Close the wallet, delete your blocks and chainstate folders then restart the wallet.

Windows users can find theses folders in C:\Users\YOURNAME\Appdata\Roaming\TrumpCoin

Once we have enough confirmations that you all are resynced, we can start back up.

Ok just to be safe I went thru it one more time.

I stopped mining this for now and shutting my wallet down. My bet is I wasted a days hashing on it. Hope not, but has been my luck in the past. Figure when I recheck my wallet later the odds and father murphy say my 6300 coin will either be totally gone or invalid.
Sorry there are issues with this but my little operation gets hit very hard by these sort of things.

Good luck

POOLmn has updated now.

Well something is screwy somewhere yet as they are showing a block number that is 200 higher than mine and I just re installed completely since we spoke in pm a bit ago. Are we4 sure they did a full blockchain reset or just reinstalled the software over the old and didn't re do their chain?
From their block stat page:

I see that POOL.MN is howing block #16727, but my wallet says the block count is 16522. so what is correct here?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ***TRUMP COIN***TRADING**TRUMP COIN***MAKING CRYPTO GREAT ONE BLOCK AT A TIME** on: March 16, 2016, 07:42:43 PM
Looks like there is atleast one pool ignoring the fork. Considering teh amount oh hashing power they are producing I doubt the fork is gonna work.

https://pool.mn/trump/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

I sent an email to them about it but have either been ignored or no one is home.

This sucks as the exchanges will not re- open trading until everyone is on the correct fork.

One of the main mining pools is still running the old chain. Sent an email about it to them. My wallet is on updated fork and I am solo mining on it.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - BIGUP] BIGUP Life Ya'll - MOST SUCCESSFUL COIN LAUNCH IN YEARS!! on: March 16, 2016, 03:24:12 PM
What I need to do is get my friend to help me create a p2pool for this. Compiling the wallet was easy.

These are the types of efforts that we need to make the BIGUP community even BIGGER

The more we all BIG it UP, the BIGGER it will get!

i thought this coin was POS only, what will you mine on p2pool?

it looks like the dev was confused

The point here is that someone is trying to contribute instead of complaining

BIGUP would be a great addition to any of the staking pools out there so if people want to take initiative then BIGUP!

you do know that p2pool is not a staking pool, right?

Yes, I do. Smiley But hey, who said anything about creating a p2pool node for staking or mining. It can also be used as a secondary network just for connections of wallets.
