... can you not please. Also can you not use my copyright without my consent please.

What copyright is that?  Also I think Bitcrane can do whatever he/she likes, free market and all.
I was curious as well unless OP edited the post? How can one validate if a copyright is valid and legit?

The pictures he uploaded for the listing are mine, they're not stock photos. He doesn't have a license to use them, nor has he ever contacted me. tldr, he's profiting from my copyright.

Your copywrong?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Nobody cares about your copywrong dogie, get back inside your kennel.

I just uploaded them to the webz by the way - maybe you should go chasing up your copywrong pics there instead of posting here, or scamming kids for VAT in sales, or advertising scammers on your guides......WTF?

Bad, bad dogie......

any options to make any custom firmware for s2???

Wouldn't the S4 firmware work on the S2?

The S4 firmware doesn't even work on the S4 - it'll be a brave man who tries it on the S2......... Wink

Those S4's are fine......really.......nothing to see here...... Roll Eyes

Hi all,
I am very disgusted with S4 quality. I ordered 10 psc, 6 working fine (not well) 1 miner have a lot of xx in Asic status (more than 60 xx) and 3 PSUs burnt. I am really curious how bitmain will compensate ours losses! I do not recommend S4 for buy.
I enclose pics of burnt PSUs.

Holy shit.

Did anyone notice BitmainWarranty went offline as soon as this was posted?......
26  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [12th Sept] on: October 12, 2014, 05:07:07 PM
3) Lack of support? They're the first company to actually hire a proper representative purely to increase communications.
4) Untested firmware releases? Engineers were getting heckled so much for a firmware update that they pushed an update with one file location wrong. It was fixed within a day, and within the meantime another member of staff had already shown the workaround.

Yes lack of support. I think that you missed this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=515448.msg9163035#msg9163035 It seems that the S2 firmware isn't up to date and all S2s are in danger of having their hashrate stolen. Don't judge entirely on the past actions, judge by the present actions. (like in AMs case where they are represented by not having preorders when they DO have preorders)

No I've not missed it, I've replied about 10x to "where is S2 firmware" posts and get flamed every time I do for "spreading lies". Its coming when its coming, what do you want ME to do about it?

How about doing what Bitmain are paying you to do? Find out from them WTF they are playing at. Or are you getting paid to just repeat their excuses over & over again?

2) Right, the only problem is PSU failures

Are you kidding? S4's only work out of the box on one pool after manually setting the diff - on every other pool they fail miserably, not even close to the advertised hash rate, especially with p2pool.

3) Me?

Yeah. Right. You still think & tell everyone that the S4's problems are firmware related, even though it's been explained to you by people who are in the know (including ck) that the problem is hardware. You are under qualified for this role, Bitmain are just using you to take the heat for their cock-ups on their behalf while knowing that you won't write anything negative in your manufacturer "review". You were always on a hiding to nothing by being paid by Bitmain to even attempt to be able to offer support for them, but you chose to do it anyway. But thinking that anyone who disagrees with you or proves you wrong is "flaming" you or "out to get" you is just daft.

Stop making excuses for Bitmain, provide support or quit your job. Your life will be much easier & you might even get some respect back  Wink
27  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [12th Sept] on: October 12, 2014, 03:34:58 PM
When will you be updating this guide to more accurately reflect Bitmains downward spiral since releasing the terribly overpriced & under performing S4, their lack of support & untested firmware releases?

Will your bosses let you do that?

I can do what I want, but you have to use facts not made up stuff.

1) Price has nothing to do with this guide, if its too expensive don't buy...
2) Underperforming, where? Every unit hits over the 2.0 selling mark. If not, then you're ignoring the instructions to use a manual difficulty of 2048.

It only takes one look at your post history to see that you'll disagree with anything I say regardless, purely because one of the three pools listed you disagree with: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=371518;sa=showPosts

LOL....that'll be a NO then.

Can't risk losing your Bitmain bribes wages eh?

1) I won't.
2) Wrong. Read the thread again.
3) Who's the proper rep?
4) Maybe if they tested the first release properly/at all they wouldn't get heckled.

Any firm dispatch date for the SP20 yet?  They look much tastier now that the Bitmain S4's are a big box of fail.......
I think the original product description said "2nd half of October" so I would guess after the 15th.

Yeah, I read that - was hoping for a firmer date though.....and maybe even a slight price decrease...... Wink

This guy was a bs account setup for no reason other than to cast doubt on the BAN pool.  He hasn't even logged on in almost a week.

LULZ at the BAN trolls - they can't post on their own pool thread since their crooked admin locked it after being found out..... Cheesy Cheesy

Wait....so these things only work if you use ghash?

WTF. Nice one Bitmain. Not.

No....  There is currently a bug which is affecting the S4 working with pools which have Variable Difficulty.
I was waiting for a firmware update but I understand the Chinese have been on Public Holiday for the last week so I decided to change from Eligius to GHash.io (which was the advice given last week).   At least I am mining at full speed pending a firmware update Smiley

But most pools use vardiff. Didn't Bitmain test their units with any pools before shipping them? You should be able to use this thing with any pool you like, especially for that price. Sorry, but that's crap.

Good luck waiting for that firmware update too, from what I've read elsewhere on other Bitmain threads, customers have been waiting months for their firmware updates.....& still not got them.

EDIT: Reading back a few pages, what about this:

I'm a little confused tbh, as ck says:

It turns out the controller is so low powered that it can only process ~30 shares per second which mean that unless diff is set higher, they work their way into a death spiral before diff catches up. Great...

Which to me sounds like a hardware issue - or is it the firmware that decides how much power is provided to the controller?
It's not a firmware issue. The controller hardware they bundle with it is not fast enough to handle running at low diffs, and most pools start at a lower diff for a while before vardiff pushes them up. If they stay low diff long enough the controller never catches up. I gave them a driver code workaround (i.e. hack) to get over this hurdle. It means they'll (appear to) run at low hashrates for a while until the pool reaches a diff suitable for the device. When they say it's a firmware issue, they mean they'll offer new firmware with an updated cgminer to address the issue.

So if it's a hardware issue, no amount of firmware updates will fix it. The only way to fix this is to replace the under powered controller, is it not? Sounds to me like Bitmain didn't research enough & simply threw this thing together & shipped it out without testing it at all......nice.
