181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers, the biggest crypto problem on: July 05, 2020, 02:58:38 PM
Just like i used to include in my points that scammers is the main problem crypto is facing presently i come across this news on the internet today about how scammers keep on contrarily influence the digital currencies. As indicated by Changpeng Zhao, the CEO and originator of Binance, there are in excess of 1,500 Binance con artists on the expert informal community LinkedIn. The quantity of Binance scammers on LinkedIn can in the end arrive at 1,605. Now imagine how big scammers are damaging crypto
I don’t think scammers can cause me to stop making use of cryptocurrency, same as most of the people out there. I do know that this is a problem, but it is something that happens everywhere, and people should learn to avoid it. There are thieves everywhere, even outside and every other businesses you are going to find online. Cryptocurrency is a new thing and because they are getting on this new business doesn’t mean that it is the only place you can find scammers. The thing is that we should look for ways to be dealing with these scammers and solve the issues we are having about them.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any successful precious metal crypto? on: July 05, 2020, 02:31:29 PM
Since the beginning of cryptocurrency we have  seen many precious metal crypto project. With my little knowledge i don't know any successful one. All precious metal crypto projects disappeared after funding phase. Is there any successful precious metal crypto and traded?
I do know a few of them that are legit and being traded on some exchanges, majority are just scammers. Before you buy any token that is claimed to be backed by precious metals such as gold, you should properly research them and know about the people that are offering and who they are working with. It’s just like PAX Gold.

The first time I got to know about PAX is when they released their first cryptocurrency that is pegged 1:1 with the United States Dollar, a stablecoin. I have been making use of PAX, it’s the only stablecoin I’m using and it’s approved by NYDFS. Check out their PAX Gold, it’s really a good token. Another one I know about is Tiberius.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH better than BTC for payment? on: July 05, 2020, 01:55:15 PM
Yes, the transaction of Ethereum is more faster than Bitcoin. Btc takes much time than other crypto-currencies. I wil always try to exchange with ethereum, because it is more profitable for withdraw and getting ethereum in my wallet quickly.
Yeah, that's true and that is the reason I am doing most of my possible transactions with Tron now a days because Tron has basically no fees on transactions and confirmations are just amazingly fast. I am not into technical analysis or anything but the coin I see more benefits I usually go with those for my transactions regarding trading and gambling. Bitcoin is the all time favorite without a doubt but having an additional coin always helps in managing transaction fees and confirmation timing.

Transaction wise, I would also have to go with Eth. Given that it is available on most local wallets specially here in our country, it is really the most convenient way to transact online.
Yeah and now a days ETH is almost as famous as BTC so we don't have to work any harder to have the problem of availability, anyone who accepts BTC almost also accepts ETH, XRP and few other altcoins including dogecoins especially when you check crypto gambling houses. I choose dogecoins for my gambling as provides me the opportunity of enjoying gambling for lesser expensive.
184  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US economy suddenly recovering? on: July 05, 2020, 09:38:51 AM
The whole world looks to be recovering, I don't know how we overcame this situation and how we managed to make the most out of our stay at home moments but looks like, US markets, other nation markets, gold, bitcoin, oil, basically everything is back on the rise again. I do not really understand why we didn't become even worse or why we are recovering but that is at least a bit better feeling than what it looked like when it first started.

There is still a ton of unemployed people, tens of millions of unemployed people, but at least some of them were rehired so I guess things are looking better, sure it is a setback and sure it sucks, I would rather see a world where everyone is rich, nobody works, and we just have fun, but right now that is not the case and that means some people will be left behind according to capitalist rules.
185  Economy / Economics / Re: The positive impact ~ on: July 04, 2020, 07:29:36 PM
How did you know that Coronavirus was what made cryptocurrency to be popular? Have you forgotten that there was a Halving that took place on May and the Halving was hyped too much before it took place? With the things we have experienced in the past, this Halving was already enough to cause more interest towards cryptocurrency. Your fourth point is a really good positive side of the Coronavirus, everywhere is clean now.

But, the question would be whether we will be able to continue to keep it clean as it is now. This is something the leaders needs to put into consideration, but they never do that, they are only interested in getting rich. Dumb people.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest to this project ? on: July 04, 2020, 04:57:43 PM
just a suggestion, if you doubt then no need.
I don't want to hard counter you but let us break it down. Is there any project that is new and you won't doubt? I am not like you because I do follow my own steps while analyzing all projects which is same for new and established projects.

although it is very convincing

I can guarantee you haven't even checked the website because I do not find the idea too convincing myself. If you keep digging then you can find at least ten more projects with similar ideology; these are just repeated projects hence we do not need to waste our time on doing due diligence in depth. Just primary checking itself more than enough.

we do not yet know how the project will end. we don't even know where the tokens will be listed. so, it's quite doubtful. if you do have capital, invest your money in existing coins.
Nor anyone would know unless they read the whitepaper, team involved, the roadmap and all involved aspects.
Anyways I was checking the website and the project as much as I could and I actually do not like the project at all myself so if you are to go by my opinion then just DON'T invest.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH better than BTC for payment? on: July 04, 2020, 03:44:44 PM
Personally, In the past couple of months, I have preferred ETH payments to btc reason being that, the Ethereum blockchain is somewhat faster, cheaper, easier and more flexible when compared to the btc blockchain. However, recently, the Ethereum blockchain has been marred with several issues of congestion and higher fees making it quite frustrating to conduct business and transactions. This has led me to look only towards btc payments. Until things change, I will stay on btc payments.
I had a very bad experience with ETH a few months back which enabled me to absolutely stop dealing with Ethereum although later I realized that how it was done and what exactly happened was actually my lack of knowledge.

So, basically a guy paid me 0.5 ETH and the transaction was pending like normally and he told me that the eth network is clogged up and the confirmation will take a few hours and I never heard if eth transactions had any fees issues so I released him the bitcoins as it was a ETH to BTC trade.

After 15 mins I see the transaction was vanished and later found that how it was done was basically sending 0 eth to yourself cancels the previous unconfirmed transactions. I could not find any reason to call ethereum is a better payment than bitcoin's. Ethereum got the dapps feature but that also misused to ruin the altcoin industry's fame and nothing more.
188  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kingcasino from bounty detective turned scam on: July 03, 2020, 08:19:35 PM
There are still people who are managers and they are doing their jobs as they are meant to do it. And yes, mistakes do happen, but depends on your level of experience and skills in knowing which one is a scam project. A manager that is not bad and also knows very well how to detect a scam will always recommend good projects to people.
Based on my experience so far, no matter how much scammers tries to cover that they are scammers, there’s always one, two or morethings that shows them off; it might be that they are using fake team, or that their website doesn’t look like a legit one, and other things. So I believe good managers can always figure these things out.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australia post office now accepts Bitcoin on: July 03, 2020, 05:10:28 AM
It looks like the massive adoption of Bitcoin has begun in Australia. The Aussie citizens can now deposit BTC at the post office due to the collaboration of Bitcoin.com.au and 3,500+ post offices in Australia.

What do you think of this move guys? Do you think other countries would follow suit? Or are there other countries before Australia who have implemented this in their own post offices as well?
That's okay. Someone has said something like this about their country as well, but I can't remember which country was that again. They said their citizens can exchange their Bitcoin at the embassy. These are the type of news I always like to see and not the ones of how the government is planning to place a ban on cryptocurrency, which is very bad.

But, it's not like this in my country and I do wish that the government in my country will consider, although I do know that there are lots of things we are facing and that might be why no one is looking at that direction for now.

I hope that, every rich and powerful country will legalize BTC very soon and we will able to make all kind of payments through Bitcoin. it will make our life easier.

In my understanding, those under-developing countries will be having more possibilities for adopting bitcoins before developed counties. Some 3/4 years back itself Swiss post offices started adopting bitcoins/selling bitcoins and now Australia and Japan must be the first counted legalizing bitcoins and USA is always a crypto friendly country. From all these, I guess it is time for tier-2 and tie-3 countries to think about bitcoins for their people better life style.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Undo button for transactions on: July 03, 2020, 04:30:45 AM
Are you scared that it would be used for scamming people? Mate, no matter how you put it, there will always be people that are using it wrongly. It's just up to you, when you know how people are misusing it, then you have to be careful. Cryptocurrency doesn't have Central control and no unit to report to when you're having problems. Even now that there is no undo button for transactions, a lot of people are still being scammed because they sent their money to a scammer or they sent to a wrong address.

Though the one of sending to the wrong address is a dumb mistake, I have never made that kind of mistake, before I make transaction I request for the address I'm sending to and then I copy it and paste and when I'm about to enter my pin I check the address to be sure of it. I don't really understand why people are making such mistakes.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fun Facts about Bitcoins on: July 02, 2020, 08:09:04 PM
4. A smaller unit than Satoshi is in use now called msat!
Where uses smaller unit than satoshi is being used and by whom? Any reference link for this? Honestly I have been into thoughts about making satoshi as the base unit which also lead me to think about having other units to denote values lesser than one satoshi. But, surprisingly you have mentioned about what was in my mind for years. If your time permits, please share here any reference link for msatt unit. I am just looking for it to enlighten me more on this regard.

Edit:
msat seems a new innovation after lightening network's revolution.
Just with google search, I find this bitcoin wiki page which has a mention about msat: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Units

Any way, thanks a lot for sharing these fun facts about bitcoins; even most of them were old and already aware of, it is good to recall them.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My suggestion on Bitcoin adoption on: July 02, 2020, 06:42:56 PM
I love the fact that the whole world isn't aware of Bitcoin yet. I see Bitcoin as a digital Gold. It is supposed to be scarce to retain its credibility. If Gold was made accessible to everyone, The value would never be as high it has always been. In the case of Bitcoin, before the century goes off a quantum of the world population will be accessing the internet and I'm not sure a lot of people will still be interested in knowing what it is.
If Bitcoin should be adopted by everyone (although that’s not going to happen) then it wouldn’t be seen as an asset any longer, it will become a currency and we will all simply be using it for transaction and nothing else, you will no longer be investing in it. It has more value now and everyone is looking for it because it’s scarce and not available everywhere. Seriously, I don’t really see anything wrong with the way that Bitcoin is, I just don’t know why some people are having problem with it and acting like every single person in the world has to be using Bitcoin.

Wouldn't it be more advantageous for everyone in the world to use bitcoin to make payments?
But, bitcoin got another usage which must be needed for each and every human of this world; yes I am just referring store-of-value property of bitcoins which must be more advantageous for everyone. Using bitcoin for making payments could be an additional benefit you can enjoy but getting good ROI must be rarest and most seeking thing among most people around the globe.

I guess store-of-value would be the enough feature for bitcoin to get adopted by most people of this world.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading competition, a plus or minus on: July 02, 2020, 06:00:05 PM
It might also interest those participating in trading competition to know that it might also be a way to dump on you. No one is saying you shouldn't take part in trading competition but be smart. Everything that appeared to have advantages have also got disadvantages. I asked if is a plus or minus, I guess you know the answer by now.
For some people it is a way of having fun and they do it because they have money to risk and play the game and if they win in the trade war, then they are lucky, and if they don’t win they will still take it like that and wouldn’t bother themselves. It’s only problem when you don’t have enough money and you’re still trying to take such a risk. You never know when you will end up losing money. And when you lose a money you can’t risk, then it becomes a problem as you will struggle to get back the money for a long time. Always best to be careful and do things you know you’re able to.

I am seeing some competitions on my usual exchange whenever they do list a new coin/token. I am not sure how people do take part in those competitions regardless of analyzing its true potential or like where/when to buy and sell. I guess they must be entering blindly just for the competition's sake as they are risking with all new asset.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Crytopcurrency on: July 02, 2020, 04:29:21 PM
The future of cryptocurrency is as bright as the noon sun.  Crypto adoption has really moved from where it used to be back in 2009.  We now have more adoption now, which will definitely be on increase.  Even some governments that are against it before are now in support.  It's real time usage is on increase.  To me, I see a very reliable future in cryptocurrency.
If the government create their own cryptocurrency and decide to stop people from making use of cryptos and crack it down, they wouldn’t do that without letting their citizens know about it first. They will make laws that stops people from making use of cryptos and put punishment. So, it doesn’t work as you have described it; you won’t just wake up and all your money has disappeared. No, it doesn’t work that way. They will let you know first, and it will then be up to you to do what you can to get your money out from wherever you have stored it before anything bad happens.

Future of cryptocurrency may not be fully depend on government's regulation against it. If you see, some governments are legalizing the use of cryptos hence we can expect more governments may support crypto usage at least as the digital property way (because government will worry about cryptos only when it is a threat to their fiats).
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto online stores? on: July 02, 2020, 12:39:45 PM
Im looking for information about stores (online) that accept crypto for payment where I can shop and get items delivers to my country, something like Amazon kinda, thanks
As of now we are having very less number of online stores which are accepting crypto payments. Unless otherwise you are living in tier one countries, it would be highly impossible to find such online stores for spending your cryptos. This is the reason like many people here already mentioned and you need to make use of gift cards to spend anywhere for purchasing anything which includes amazon and a few other major online shopping websites.

Here is one highly useful topic from the staff member of this forum; this topic lists the services which are offering gift cards to be purchased for crypto payments and then could be redeemed in major online stores. Here you may go: List Gift cards providers.

I am making use of bitrefill for more than last six months and I am fine with it with zero issues so far. With bitrefill codes I am buying airtime for my mobile and I ordered few items on amazon successfully.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new project team can afford top exchanges on: June 30, 2020, 07:54:05 PM
"Not being able to afford" is literally one of the causes of not being a good project. You do not need to be a rich team to end up rich, if you are a good team, if you have good developers, if you have good designers, if you have a good marketing team, you will end up making a good profit as well, if you fail to do any of that you will not have a lot of money.

That means if you do not have a good team, maybe you should not do a project neither, people act like everyone has a right to start a new project, its not a "must", you guys know that right? If you can't, just don't. Don't start with 100 dollars and zero coding experience and just ask people around and make a fake silly coin. However if you are legit good, you will be capable of actually putting money into it and afford top exchanges.
197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will a BTC bull market begin in July? on: June 30, 2020, 05:27:46 PM
There is panic due to the pandemic so a lot of people are not ready to start investing.
Some of them are still panicking that the price will fall back again if there happens to be another wave of the Coronavirus. A lot of people have been talking about the second wave of the outbreak, but I don’t know what kind of effect it’s going to have on the cryptocurrency market.

Although the way I see things, it’s unlikely that things will be getting affected, even if it does, it’s not going to be as much as the first time. And some news articles that I have been reading recently shows that investors are starting to invest more in Bitcoin and there might be a bull run soon.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know job/investment related to crypto that provide stable daily income? on: June 30, 2020, 03:40:40 PM
Merchant business is not an easy one to do. Normally how it’s being done where I live is that the merchants have a particular rate they sell for a dollar. So, everything is being calculated by a dollar, and then when you make payment they will send the amount to you. That means they are trying to put their own fees. This is really not something I will explaining to you. You may decide to be charging a particular fee for the services you’re offering or just ask those that are into it and they will explain to you how it works. And of course, it will require that you pay them to get a knowledge of how it works. But first get to know if it’s worth diving into.

I like to suggest people not to think about bitcoins or cryptos in general like a magical money making resource. If we are able to make $100 daily with our day today's life things then we can make with bitcoin as well. I mean nothing will change just because of we are having bitcoins (except its huge ROI in long term holding) on daily basis.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of Americans still don't know what Bitcoin is on: June 30, 2020, 08:40:57 AM
I had two clients from America I want offer graphics designing jobs for, I demanded my payment would be in BitcoinBTC or Ethereum. To my greatest dismay, they were dumfounded on what Bitcoin or Ethereum is. I am still suprised up to this very moment. Cheesy Roll Eyes
You know it is very common and I was introduced to bitcoins by someone similar a few years ago when I was working and I usually used to accept payment in Libertty Reserve (it was a prominent payment method during those times and very popular just like Perfectmoney is today) so I was working for a client and they offered me $200 for the complete project (I'll keep the project private cause of NDA) so they offered me Paypal and I refused and what they said next was bitcoins which was completely new to me and that is how I first got to know about bitcoins and then slowly I rolled into it and now hardly ever I accept payment in any other method unless there is no option left.

Hence, word of mouth is a great promotion for bitcoins and I believe the biggest power of decentralization since no one controls them you always know that someone is not promoting you for referral commissions.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the wallet is hacked, what should I do? on: June 30, 2020, 07:51:48 AM
Added to all the points above I would like to add a vital point that is being used massively for hacks and people are just unaware of what wrong they did, so I am gonna share the vital method and a few small points.

- Hackers will lure you by giveaway offers and all they need is you to signup to their website and just claim the reward. Basically doing this they collect a lot of usernames and password and most of the guys use same username and password on almost all exchanges, wallets and everywhere so they get hacked.

A few small points

1- Never login to any link you get on emails.
2- At least check for SSL and make a quick habit of either googling links like I want to open bitclointalk then I only google case I know google wont give me phishing links.
