861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good projects/hard to reach softcap on: November 09, 2019, 01:01:44 PM
I am afraid about majority of devs who are more concerned now about strategies involved to fool us into getting money from our pocket than the strategy they will use to get a very good project that they will release for future purpose and it is now clear to me that the people never even had any purpose for releasing the project other than the purpose of making money which is the profit to them.

The only way that I see right now of bad developers and bad ICO can leave the market is if we have an authority that would help establish an agency that will monitor the quality of some of these projects being released and so approve them for release or not, is if investors can only go for projects that has been certified by the government which we all know that it will be hard for any scammer to dare government regulated system.
862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you waste your time for 5 cents worth of bitcoin? on: November 09, 2019, 12:19:19 PM
I am doing market research for a potential project.
If there was a website you could go to daily where you would earn anywhere from 1 cent - 10 cents worth of bitcoin just for clicking a button, would you do it?
No strings attached, no deposit required. You go to the website, push a button and 5 cents is deposited into your wallet. Would you go every day and do it, or is it not worth your time?
It depend on how advanced I am already in cryptocurrency business and how much I am making, if I am a starter and I have not started earning any cryptocurrency and I don’t even have money to buy or invest in it, I would surely start clicking those button but my goal would be to have them in case I satoshi turns to 1 usd or when bitcoin is fully recognized as the currency of the world where we can spend it for the purchase of things on ecommerce sites.

If I am someone who is already making money through trading or any other means that is giving me enough increase on crypto, why would I just waste my time on that, and the thing with these types of site is that they have timing, you cannot just continue to click on those buttons, you have to wait for some specific time to get the task done.
863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2017 Price Rise was a Scam by Bitfinex using Tether(Fraud) on: November 08, 2019, 10:00:27 AM
So I should fidget over your own personal opinion that does not make sense to me, and I would say that you are even thee one creating fud unnecessary which I think you are just doing that out of the envy that you have lost form the train at buying when the value of bitcoin was still considered to be extremely reach because the time that I joined cryptocurrency, there was nothing even like tether and the market was increasing, there was no tether before bitcoin reached $3000, so tell me what you believe made bitcoin to reach $3000 before the last all time high of $9800.

We all know that the market was manipulated then to a level but not to that level for which you are taking it, there are still lost of bitcoin adoption, I that is writing here have adopted bitcoin, I know about 20 of my friend that are also in bitcoin which I also know we have many people like that in the forum.
864  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain Bring change into Africa? on: November 08, 2019, 08:45:53 AM
The  nature of Africa was decentralization! Africa was unite and great until  colonial masters began to centralize  everything. Now  all the resources is control by the  western world.  Now that the world is changing and  blockchain is bring back  decentralization to the world would Africa get  their  power back?
Blockchain you say? Well, it can change Africa in some ways but if you mean like saving people from poverty and making a lot of people rich, then that's where you're getting it wrong because that one is not going to happen, not even Bitcoin which is an asset can do that, not to talk of blockchain that is just a system that powers cryptocurrencies.

How is Blockchain going to change Africa? If the companies in Africa decide to adopt blockchain technology that means they will be able to improve their business models, cloud storage, payment methods and a lot more.

The first impact that blockchain will make its security and keeping them safe from cyber-attacks. Another thing is transparency and we are all aware that there is less transaction time when making use of blockchain.

This technology can be used in so many areas and that includes banking, government, legal, healthcare, and voting. And I believe that in the future there will still be more. So, imagine Africa taking advantage of all that.
865  Economy / Economics / Re: Is institutional capital good or bad for Bitcoin? on: November 08, 2019, 08:05:40 AM
I have seen a lot being said about these institutions and their plans with bitcoin. Some have said that with institutions the price of bitcoin will turn stable and will no longer stagger from one side to another, we all know for sure that bitcoin is highly volatile. And from what I have observed, there are people who want the institution to start investing in Bitcoin because they know it for sure that the price will go to the moon and will make lots of profit, that's why a lot of people wanted Bakkt, but they were disappointed (though I have seen news that Bakkt will gain lots of investment soon).

If institutions start to invest in bitcoin there is going to be an increase, and I don't think any of these institutions are ready to invest for the long term, they will even be the worst competition, none of them would leave their investment in bitcoin seeing that the price is falling.
866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is irreversible: strength and weakness on: November 08, 2019, 04:50:24 AM
You are right, for all the advantages of decentralization, the lack of the possibility of a refund deters many people from using cryptocurrencies. I think that those developers who will create a blockchain with the possibility of revoking a transaction will achieve the success of their project. But, I believe that with the full decentralization of the project, a refund is impossible. This function is possible if the coin will at least have a Central authority responding to requests for a refund.
I understand that no one is above mistake, but in a decentralized system, any of its user must really be extremely careful, especially in the aspect of sending coins to other people, we have to verify the coin before we send the money to the person and also we have to make use of most of the copy link that is always available when copying addresses, and secondly too, the sender must try everything possible to be sure too that the address being sent is the right one.

The only way I think anyone has the right of sending an amount to a wrong account is when hackers have hacked the person’s account and it think this is where a reversed amount would have been very useful before the money gets confirmed, but now that the option is not available, there is nothing we can do, we just have to learn to deal with it.
867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whet is the best marketplace to buy Bitcoin? on: November 07, 2019, 08:40:50 PM
Do some research before buying anything on the internet lots of sites sells bitcoin but some of them are scam. You did it right because you asked before you bought bitcoin and just explore here in the forum if you are a beginner
Yes, it is good to seek opinion first before buying some of these coins, because the way we have many of these very terrible projects now is really alarming, and I think we need to be very watchful on all of them.

As much as we have scam projects and scam exchanges, there are still lots of very great projects and exchanges that we have in the market, and some of them can really be seen as the ones that are ranked the top exchanges and coins, they have too many great community for one not to sport them easily.

It is only when we are going for some of these low quality exchanges that we get scammed, and when it comes to purchasing of bitcoin, I think there is no point looking at any other exchanges other than exchange like Huobi and others.
868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin Fundamentals Are Going From Strength to Strength on: November 07, 2019, 07:19:25 PM
Bitcoin has spent another day in consolidation following a roller-coaster ride last month. This year has had similar ups and downs in terms of BTC price but fundamentally the network is going from strength to strength.

https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-fundamentals-are-better-and-stronger/
Volatility is part of bitcoin if it is what we see as the challenge of bitcoin, but that would not stop the network from really growing as you have confirmed. People are more accepting bitcoin now for the payment benefit of It and they have seen how it is even more beneficial to use bitcoin for payment than to just hold it as an asset.

The main reason why we all see bitcoin having challenge is because of the way we took bitcoin, we took bitcoin from the perspective of holding it as digital asset that can generate some income for us, yes the project is also capable of doing that, but that would be in the long run and not something of now.

For now, we should see bitcoin as our new money and start spending it while at the same time we hold it, and we will see how the network will keep growing stringer just as it is growing now.
869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you invest 60 BTC? on: November 07, 2019, 05:05:30 PM
Ill better suggest to invest in outside business like real estate, as of now it is not advisable to invest to cryptocurrency it is better to invest it outside so that you will be able to earn and make profit day by day and then invest again to crypto until you gain again your capital it is just circulating your funds.
Real estate investment is a very good suggestion, as this business as been in existence for a very long time and has also really made so much money for those that invested in it, but I think that gold too would not be a bad investment, because it keeps appreciating just like the way landing asset do appreciate which I also think Is even easier to sell a gold compared to real estate.

For you to succeed very well in real estate, you must have a very strong marketing strategy because there are so many people that are also into the business, and unless you make your price extremely competitive, you might have your investment tide down for too long, but gold, you can sell it instantly at any time that you need your money without having to wait for too long to get it sold.
870  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Holds Above $9k on: November 07, 2019, 04:31:20 PM
The world’s most profitable company, today announced that it is going public, in what could be the biggest ever IPO. The oil giant, Saudi Aramco, posted an H1 profit of $46.9bn in 2019, compared to Apple’s $21.6bn in the same period. But one imagines that return on investment will still pale into insignificance compared to Bitcoin.

https://bitcoinist.com/sunday-digest-bitcoin-price-holds-usd-9k-other-headlines/
First, your heading does not correlate with the body of your message and I really do not see the relationship with the both of them, one is company offering stock while the other is cryptocurrency and to me, bitcoin investment is still better than this one as an investment.

When we even talk of profit, that cannot be compared because bitcoin is a growing technology which will be accepted worldwide, there is limit to the number of people that can patronize this company you mentioned here, but bitcoin is a technology that within the next few years, it would really grow to become global currency and will be known and accepted by billions of people that are living in the earth, so bitcoin will still remain the most profitable asset for one in the future.
871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you follow developers, Lisk is booming, if you follow users, Lisk is dead. on: November 07, 2019, 03:46:17 PM
Who is right? Devs or users?

I'm new to Lisk. Thought about investing as I like the idea behind it and as its price is super low. But the more I read about it, the more doubts I have.
What is product without the end users? And that already answers your question. This is what many developers have been claiming about their projects, meanwhile they are not growing at all in the project and lack the users that will make it go to the next level, and majority of those projects that you even see do fake their volume just to get attraction, but they forget that they cannot keep faking volume if they don’t have real working product.

For lisk, I have known this project team to be good and hardworking when it was first developed, but it seems that they actually don’t have the capacity to drive the project forward, which is not making them to get the users that should be there to continuously use the product that they have. So dear brother, consider the project more from aspect of users and not developers.
872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin at the end of 2019? on: November 07, 2019, 10:12:14 AM
if at the end of the year there is a pump, maybe Litecoin will be one of the altcoins that will experience a high increase. After halving Litecoin yesterday, LTC has not yet increased in price, but there are still many people who believe in this coin. So it means if there is a pump, there will be many people who will go back to buy LTC because ltc looks profitable.
Most definitely, Litecoin will definitely make a very huge rise when bitcoin have its bull run, and Litecoin is among the top altcoins that will always have very positive increase every time that there is an improvement in the value of bitcoin, but what I still ant about this altcoins is that they are meant to increase in their own since they are independent, they all have their own working product that is different from that of bitcoin, they should not be a coin that will leave very much on speculation, but I am still wondering if people are not making use of the products that they have the why they use bitcoin, because if they do use their coin, they definitely supposed to always get an increase topping up their value as people use their product.
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Today's price drop on: November 07, 2019, 09:42:01 AM
instead of just holding your cryptocurrencies you may use those coins and circulate those coins in to trading websites to make the profit with that.
Then holding also a good opportunity for the people who loves to hold cryptocurrencies for long duration.
any kind of investment patients is the matter to make the money here also the same.
We have some people that have no choice than to hold if they want to use it as a digital asset other than using it to make payment because when it comes to trading, it is not everybody that knows how to trade and if they are forced to distribute their coin into some of these sites, they may really not be able to make some profits other than losses.

The only thing that I would just implore those who are holding the coin to do is to try as much as possible to be patient because bitcoin investment really requires lots of patience and another thing they can just do also is to have some money they can use to buy bitcoin too when the price is down, and then sell when the price is a little bit up, at least that one does not require much strategies to do.
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think IEO is more legit if launch on big exchnages like Binance? on: November 07, 2019, 09:05:01 AM
That's right, because only the most top-end projects can conduct their IEO on such top exchanges like binance, because it is very difficult to make IEO on such exchanges, for this you need to pay decent money for IEO and plus all the companies that conduct IEO on top exchanges are tested on scam and other various tests.
That part of them really verifying the project first is exactly what has made me built more confidence in them and it is not even about how high the fee is , because a scammer that really mean business would go to any length to actually pay their fees, but binance is this type that usually do verify their projects first before they throw it out to the public because they respect their name far more than even the money.

Moreover, they have even gotten to the stage where they have built enough profit, so there is really no project that can offer them any amount of money to actually make them to compromise, so money is not the issue right now, but fame and what is building them fame is actually the level of quality projects they are giving out to their users and to their traders.
875  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin using or need! Vs stable coins on: November 06, 2019, 06:29:46 PM
From what I have discovered, most people are not interested in cryptocurrencies because they can use it for transaction, rather they are interested in it as an investment. I have asked a lot of people questions on what reasons they would like to make use of cryptocurrency and their answers is always on how much they can make from it.

Stable coins don't offer that, they are mainly focused on transaction and not like bitcoin that you can invest and make lots of money within a short or long term (or lose as well). And bitcoin is like a multi-purpose coin, you can use it for investment and you can as well use it for transactions. So, a lot of people will not be interested in making use of stable coins when they already have Bitcoin
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will DEX's ever get the liquidity and volume of Centralized Exchanges today? on: November 06, 2019, 05:30:29 PM
That is a very big and though question, but the simple answer is that it all depend on us and depends on our collective effort. It was collectively we decided to encourage some of these centralized exchanges by depositing our money with them, this is the same way that we need to also collectively choose a dex exchange that we can even concentrate on and even try first to see how effect and how wonderful they are and I think that cryptocurrency market would have even grown much more than this.

If we had all started using dex exchange, and you know that dex exchanged are even quite more secured than centralized exchange, but these top exchanges has already bewitched us through the hype they usually create for their exchange platform.
877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea discuss the possibility to give crypto a legal status on: November 06, 2019, 07:58:14 AM
Currently, crypto is NOT taxed in korea. If they do this, it most likely WILL be taxed in korea.

Please everyone, for the sake of me, let’s all sign a petition to stop the Korean government from doing this to ME and everyone like me. This will not raise trading volumes on korean exchanges and will only hurt those invested in crypto in korea.

Damn you Korean government! Damn you all to hell....!    Source: http://www.thebchain.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=5981
I didn't think that people will support you in the aspect of writing a petition again them for taxing cryptocurrency because it will get to a point that virtually all countries that will adopt cryptocurrency will do same thing and this news is even more encouraging that Korean government would not be banning cryptocurrency, and one question that you need to ask is if you prefer them to create a taxing system for cryptocurrency, or to declare cryptocurrency as illegal, the choice is yours, but for me, I would rather prefer they tax because I don’t see why we should run away from tax.

They are not stopping us from cutting the third party off our usage of bitcoin now, but for the part that is more important to government is taxing which you will be offending them greatly if they don’t get to tax.
878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin Fundamentals Are Going From Strength to Strength on: November 05, 2019, 02:51:07 PM
I'm still surprised, I thought the price was going to drop from $9000 down to $8000 or 7000 again, but it has stayed strong at that rate. Just when I thought it's going below, I woke up the next day to see that the price is up to $9.2k+.

Some people are saying bull run, I don't know if that's true. I even saw someone that said we should forget about the halving that bull will happen soon. I don't know if these people are saying the right thing or not, but I'm not worried about it because I have held my coins for quite long now and I had plans to hold it till the halving. If the price should go up now, that means I will have to be selling my coins soon.

Altcoins seems to be in the same position and not making any move. Take Ethereum as an example, the price has been stable (around $180). I don't know if altcoins will go up during the next bull run.
879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy birthday, Bitcoin! on: November 05, 2019, 02:12:38 PM
Wow, thanks for reminding us about this because I had even forgotten about it and its true this is indeed the 11th year of bitcoin, and I think that we will agree with me about bitcoin being one of the best things that has happened to us over the past 10 years of internet usage.

Many of us have been surfing the internet for a very long time now, and I can bet that people have really not gotten the opportunity as much as they have now when bitcoin was established and I can't even imagine that bitcoin would be the one to provide the money that I used in building apartment for the first time. It was like a miracle, and trading with bitcoin, also has never been the same as trading Forex, bitcoin is really a great technology and a great concept.
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any info related to these projects? on: November 05, 2019, 08:10:28 AM
Sometime people think that I take things out of proportion when I tell them that name matters a lot in these cryptocurrency projects and when you look at all the projects that are listed here, you will see already that their name is not even something that is very encouraging or do I say that it is enticing? And when I even looked at the project you listed here one after another, you should have even seen that these projects are really not looking great in term of concept and even in term of team.

If you have already invested in the project, it is better that you just take your mind off it for now, and concentrate on looking for more credible project to invest in, coins like bitcoin and top coins are the best to invest in right now if you really want a very good investment.
