341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 【CRX】ChronosCoin ★ POS now ★ Penny Auction Site Launched ★ Dividends on chain【★】 on: August 13, 2016, 04:47:48 AM
What wallet? What staking? I simply purchased them by buying BTC and trading them?

Could you kindly help me out in better understanding what a wallet is and what is staking is?

A wallet is basically a program that holds your coins on your PC. It's generally not a good idea to keep your coins on an exchange. Google Bitfinex if you want to know why.

Staking is a form of mining. It's done by having your wallet open and "mature" coins. The amount of time it takes for coins to mature depends on the coin. It's very quick for CRX but I don't know how long exactly.

This is just in the last hour - http://prntscr.com/c549cb

I have way less than 2 BTC in coins. lol

Call me gullible, but i feel the dev is an honest person. Second, i feel this is a good concept if it catches on.

Anyway, I just purchased a whole lot of these bad boys, so lets see. Im in this for the LONG run.

Great. Now pull em out to your wallet and start staking! They earn coins just for being in your active wallet.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 【CRX】ChronosCoin ★ POS now ★ Penny Auction Site Launched ★ Dividends on chain【★】 on: August 13, 2016, 03:34:49 AM
Thank you.

What are you projections for the price of CRX in BTC?

I have no idea. The dev continues to deliver. With the way the market is right now I wouldn't pay any more than 20 sats per coin. If the dev continues to deliver it will easily surpass 100 sats in my opinion.

Two things I learned early. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, and don't invest more than you're willing to lose.

I hope this blatant ripoff doesn't end on any exchange!

This was the first Pokecoin posted, and it's already on an exchange.

i know, just ignore it

Glad i kept some. Seeing what you guys are doing.

I'll mine more sometime soon.

I am about to buy 2 BTC worth of CRX from cryptopia, is this a good move or not? Please help me out! I really like the concept and what I am reading.

You'd get more CRX if you did something like .75 to Nova, .75 to Cryptopia, and .50 to Alcurex. If you buy them all from Cryptopia you will end up with less coins and your cost per coin will be higher.

OK, I see your point. Because of what people are willing to sell it at, Im guessing?

Well, it depends if you're going to buy the posted sells or wait for someone to take your bids. If you were going to buy the posted sales then I would distribute it. If you were going to just bid then it wouldn't really matter. Cryptopia and Nova seem to have more trading going on than Alcurex. At least for CRX.

Hmmm new exchange, verification links don't work also...

I get the same, site works until you get to the verification part where both verification links point you to an offline website, the prices on there aren't good anyway lol sounds phisy to me Cheesy

I feel like there are enough credible exchanges. These two that popped up in the last couple of weeks aren't going to get my business anytime soon. Just like pools. All these small pools popping up are terrible. Shitcoin is the only new pool that actually has their shit together.

Hahaha I couldn't agree any more, shitcoin today pools are up there by far, they might be the next competitor for ocminer... whishful thinking Cheesy

As for the exchange side I would be happy to wait for however long it takes for a real exchange to take this coin on, I wouldn't rule out Bittrex either for a starting point Cool

Shitcoin.today absolutely gives Oc a run for his money. I love Ocminer pools, but Shitcoin pools are honestly even better from the web development perspective. Their SSO is fantastic. Suprnova and Shitcoin are my two favorite pools right now. One of the newer pools has been decent, I think the guy running it is named BVB? I could be wrong, though.

Had a few bad experiences recently, so I'm being more careful now.

You would have to be more specific.

Did Rise got the Spotlight on Bittrex? If it does, the coin usually undergoes screening and auditing if it is trying to hide something before it get listed.

I believe they did, yes.

Look what's launching soon...

Hope it will be more popular than the Esports website.

Give it time. They need to finish building before the people will come.

Your mega links lack the decryption key to download the wallet.

357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SST] StandardScrypt-A simple, standard PoW Scrypt Coin on: August 12, 2016, 09:50:23 PM

I waited until the rig owner bitched about not being able to connect to your pool.

It never started. The rig is an extremely reliable rig that i regularly rent and have mined from dozens of pools with. I switched to a pool with a 8192 starting point and immediately starting hashing.

I don't get why pool admins start their vardiff so low. 90% of rigs need 8192 or higher.

I don't understand why people are renting to mine a coin that has no chance to reach an exchange as it is served without source.
Mine locally for fun but investing hashpower in it won't get you other than loss

Don't worry about what I mine and why. I am quite profitable at mining shitcoins. I have scrypt rigs rented pretty much 24/7.

min diff changed to 8192 Wink

Same issue. It shouldn't start from 0, that's definitely abnormal.
