1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC BTC refunds list - v2.0 on: April 01, 2013, 11:18:12 PM
Emailed tom direct and got a refund within 3 hours.
Finally! I'm now officially refunded.
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin-central.net say they detected a security-breach on: April 01, 2013, 08:17:05 PM
Still not showing as confirmed, despite having a big fee attached...
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 08:04:26 PM
Protip: When a "manufacturer" of a product that's already 6 months late thinks that posting faked shots of something that they've got millions of dollars in waiting pre-orders on for an April Fools is funny, they're probably not a company you want to be dealing with.
4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC BTC refunds list - v2.0 on: April 01, 2013, 07:51:45 PM
Was promised a refund on Monday, got my refund in full $, today, 1st of April.  I despise all the missing and false information along the way, but I definitely appreciate Tom taking these steps to refund the money.

Will still maintain this list until all the refunds are processed.

Can I get on the list please?
$470 order #1896
+ $60 for shipping that I don't have a number for as it was done by email.

I've contacted tom on the address from the previous page to make sure he's got the details, and I know I was on the original spreadsheet so with any luck this will get sorted...
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I want to have a serious discussion about BFL on: March 28, 2013, 10:51:43 PM
I've been trying to get a refund off them for months - do I actually have to sign up to their POS forum to get those dickpistols to pay attention to me?
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just like old times on: March 28, 2013, 10:17:41 PM
Keep the same magnitude on the time axis, please. You're just making yourself look stupid..

EDIT. Aight sorry, I had a moment of bad mood right there. Could've said it more nicely.. Sorry Smiley
Down 10$/BTC since I made that statement - do you feel at all foolish yet?  Wink

Uh, this is nowhere near a bubble burst.  We had $75 -> $52 a few days ago but it kept going up Wink
20% in 3 hours isn't a crash?  Wink

I've been out of the BTC market for a bit simply because I don't feel that the prices are justified, but I hopped on over to bitcoincharts today and I had deja-vu from almost 2 years ago  Cheesy

Just like then, the forum is full of people predicting endless future price increases with no possible downside.
Just like then, price has doubled in less than 2 weeks.

Best of luck everyone  Wink
9  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER: Cablepair (Tom) from BTCFPGA.com/bitcoinasic.net on: March 05, 2013, 06:05:13 PM
I thought he paid most people now. Has he not?
No.
It's difficult to know without a list being published, but of the six people I know personally that have BTC-based ASIC orders with him, five are still awaiting refunds.
The credit card orders did get refunded but we're all still waiting for our asic money back.
10  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 0.42 BTC for £10, UK Bank Transfer on: March 05, 2013, 01:11:52 PM
I'll take this one if you go first  Smiley
11  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling BTC UK Bank Transfer MTGOX Last +2% on: March 05, 2013, 04:39:26 AM
Sweet - have contacted you with intention of buying. Please get back ASAP and we'll be able to do this tuesday Cheesy
12  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE is offline We will update our users on Saturday. on: March 05, 2013, 03:55:29 AM
Except at that rate it's really only worth it if you're putting in over $100k.

I very much doubt many people are turning up with $100k to invest in the "stocks" on MPEX.

Actually you need to trade something like a few ks worth of BTC over your entire account lifetime to recoup the fixed fee out of what you save on % fees.
So, trimming the bullshit from your post, we're left with this statement.

Lolwut? You need to trade "something like a few ks worth" to recoup a fee of ~$1050?  Roll Eyes

Where exactly is charging these mystical massive fees?

The thing that bothers me the most is that he still posts all around the forum except for this one thread that he started.

I think that's called "Ignore the multi-million dollar fraud and hope it goes away"

And holy shit, only on here could people know someone's name and not chase them for that amount of money  Roll Eyes
14  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE is offline We will update our users on Saturday. on: March 04, 2013, 01:58:23 AM
Are you suggesting that investors who used GLBSE were dimwitted, or is the topic moving faster than I can follow?

If he's not suggesting it I'm saying it. And have been saying it.

Those who balk at 30 BTC and safety in order to "be investors" on cardboard imitations of exchanges are about as stupid as those who won't pay a hundred dollars for leather shoes because the Chinese cardboard stuff is only $3. Lasts 'till the first rain.

wow, just wow. I don't want to pay 30 BTC to be an investor. Thank you, goodbye

That's ok. Not everyone can and not everyone should be an investor.

15  Economy / Goods / [WTS][UK] Maschine Mk1 (Native Instruments) + Massive Synth on: March 04, 2013, 12:53:16 AM
So I have one of these for sale:

Will come with the box, cables, software and serial keys (not sure if I have the discs for the software but I have the exes and required serial keys).

This also comes with a copy of NI's MASSIVE synth for Maschine.

Looking to get some offers to see if anyone here can do a better price than I can get locally. Will post up pictures shortly but this thing's basically mint, has been used on stage all of once and most of the rest of the time it's been sat in the studio.
16  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTB] 13 BTC for UK GBP on: March 03, 2013, 11:03:22 PM
Looking to buy 13 BTC for UK bank transfer (will be coming from RBS, so if your bank supports faster payments it'd be same day).

Please pm with offers - users without significant rep will need escrow.

Cheers

E&G, quit ignoring us!
I want my detailed info from my accounts, I am needing the info to build a legal case again Trendon.
When you had an account with BitcoinMax your contract partner was Ian Grice (paybtc/E&G). So maybe it would be the best to build a legal case against Ian. That way he would at least most probably start to respond.
At one point in time Trendon wanted to have the accounts transfered to him. If Ian had complied, you could go direct for Tendon. Unfortunately, or deliberately?, Ian decided to protect Trendon and keep the accounts. Now Trendon has an additional shield, because only Ian had a contract with him, and Ian is apparently no longer interested. I assume he had profited enough.

Ian is almost certainly on an incredibly dodgy legal footing, having made huge profit by perpetuating fraud.

So yeah, I'd sue him if I'd been dumb enough to put money into this scheme.

Been well past a "couple weeks" now..

Why isn't Tommy listed as a scammer yet?
Because he bought a lot of advertising here and that gives you a license to defraud the community  Roll Eyes
19  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: March 02, 2013, 10:18:34 PM
At any rate that is all behind us. Like I said I have paid over 1 mil in refunds and continue to do so every friday night (20k just last friday) this list is shortening and shortening and before you know it every single person will be paid back in full.
Is there any evidence at all that this guy is paying back as he says he is?
I'm currently strapped for cash and could really do with the BTC refund I'm owed...

Order #1896
20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: February 09, 2013, 01:45:39 AM
I'm not a US citizen and my un-refunded orders only amount to $530 now (CC orders having been refunded, BTC ones not) but if anyone fancies setting up a class-action suit I'd join in an instant.

By the by Dave, how many of the BTC orders actually got refunded? I requested my refunds on the 15th of June (the day I heard about it) and the only contact I've had was from yourself a couple of weeks ago saying that I'd get my refund within 48 hours  Wink
