421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitparking PPCoin Pool - PPS, Variable Difficulty, Pays Invalids on: September 13, 2012, 10:33:21 PM
Ran out of money overnight, sorry! Funds are back up. The extra hash power is outrunning the 520 block confirmation so it's been requiring constant top ups at the moment.
Sorry  Cheesy
422  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Radeon 6870x2 DUAL GPU card (Five/Six Remaining) on: September 13, 2012, 09:15:44 PM
Well, I'm assuming there's a reason he's not selling them on eBay.  No offense to you, but it gets tiring when someone mentions that "I can get higher on eBay".  And of course my response is, "Well why don't you just sell them on eBay?"

I was hoping to get a good offer here, most have been around $150.  I paid $500 for each, the $150 offer makes me want to cry.

They are wicked little double-card miners.

I guess I'll just keep mining with them until the halving and then sell them ebay ;-)

If it's anything, I'd do $260 each and take 3, but I'm not in the country and I imagine customs would financially molest me if I tried to import a few of those on the sly  Cheesy
423  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTT/WTS] 6/23 Jalapeno order for Single or BTC on: September 13, 2012, 08:12:03 PM
What are you looking for, ballpark? I have no idea what the going rate is for these...
They're expected to make ~10(+/- 3)BTC a week (before the difficulty shoots up), so I've been quoting people about ~40-50BTC.
Per Jalapeno? So triple retail? For the price you want for 2 of these (7GH/s) I could just go buy a bASIC (27GH/s)...

So, is yours a trade-in order or a straight cash order? I'd think the latter may be worth more, depending on the (as yet unknown) details of BFL's trade in scheme.
Mine was originally a 6/3 order for a Single, but after the ASICs came out, I had my order changed to the 4 Jalapenos. I believe it does count under the 1/3 for trade-ins, however, if you really want to know.

I'm all for competition, but by the time you get your bASIC a month or two after I get these, the difficulty will already be magnitudes higher than what it is now. And when these are making 1BTC/day each at today's difficulty, time is of the essence.
You really think you're getting these next month?
424  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Data limits becoming an issue......any thoughts? on: September 13, 2012, 05:42:36 PM
This might seem pretty basic, but do both your pool and your miner support rollNtime? This drastically reduces the number of getworks you're requesting, especially for 17GH/s.
I use CGminer in conjunction with GPUmax to manage my farm.....
GPUmax just acts as a proxy. What pools do GPUmax point to?

Mostly 50BTC and OZcoin
Are you actually getting enough GPUMax work for diff-1 shares and higher stale rates to be worthwhile?
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitparking PPCoin Pool - PPS, Variable Difficulty, Pays Invalids on: September 13, 2012, 05:41:15 PM
Sooo.. how long does it take for the pool to show my hasrate? I've submitted 5k shares but the website doesn't show a thing.

PVbXu5ZJFyEiKtdy7NPx9oiedLb1WrpPqD

Does this pool support mining straight to address? I've done a couple of contracts here and the hashes have always gone to a username...
426  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Pool Hopping Tutorial???? on: September 13, 2012, 03:47:42 PM
Is there a tutorial on how to setup bithopper?
The newer one (0.3.2) is an awkward beast - you want to find one of the older versions, those were super-easy...
427  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Data limits becoming an issue......any thoughts? on: September 13, 2012, 03:46:59 PM
Are their any major pools accepting higher difficulty shares?

I have to use the Verizon because the location is not served by normal broadband providers.
Eclipse has a higher-difficulty pool, there's also HHTT, which isn't exactly major but it's nice and simple - 2% fee PPS with difficulty 32 shares:

My monthly traffic is usually 2.5-3TB. 10GB in 20 days, Nowhere near enough for me.
Have you ever thought about downloading porn that isn't 1080p?  Tongue
429  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: What is Pool Hopping? on: September 13, 2012, 03:33:39 PM
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=bitcoin+pool+hopping

It's pretty much fallen by the wayside as almost all pools today are now hop-proof.
Tell that to about 1.5Th/s worth of miners hopping slush and at least a few hundred Gh/s hopping deepbit  Wink
430  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Data limits becoming an issue......any thoughts? on: September 13, 2012, 03:32:31 PM
Where are you pointing all that hashrate? The new mining proxy on slush's pool would probably use less bandwidth, not sure if that's an option?
431  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] [WTT] Mining hardware. GPUs, FPGAs, etc. on: September 13, 2012, 03:06:33 PM

433  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trendon Shavers/Pirate ~ New Info on: September 13, 2012, 02:18:11 PM
So now the question is does Trendon have money to pay people at this point or has it been lost to Zeek?

I see a few possible situations as of today:

1) He's got a lawyer. And if he has any money, you're going to have to sue him to get it.
2) It had nothing to do with Zeek Rewards or any other Ponzi-pass through, and he's already absconded with everyone's funds months ago. The apartment is just a ruse with a VPN routing device connected through residential internet service.
3) He got caught by the Feds and has turned states evidence on his clients and investors.

Number 3 is quite interesting. It's conceivable the IRS might be interested in what happened here, or some of the money that entered the Ponzi's could be connected with something else we don't know. It's probably not as far-fetched a senario as one might think.
What if they've busted him over something related to silk road/money laundering, and are using him to try and locate others? That would explain why he went for a full list of PPT sub-accounts...
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin over PPC? on: September 13, 2012, 12:58:35 PM
2 things:
1-You're mining LTC with one GPU and PPC with the other, is that right?
2-Set up a better fan profile, those GPU temperatures would make me stressed  Cheesy
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitparking PPCoin Pool - PPS, Variable Difficulty, Pays Invalids on: September 13, 2012, 09:58:04 AM
Do you think you can handle ~65Gh/s?
I may be pointing a whole ton of hashrate your way in ~12 hours  Cheesy
it should do. It's running the same software and setup as my bitcoin pool which has 200Gh/s at the moment and has reached 300+. Assuming I didn't mess something up when converting it to ppcoin Smiley
You were right, seems to be handling it just fine, ~0.65% rejects so far, versus 4.2% over at http://ppcpool.us.to/  Smiley
436  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Radeon 6870x2 DUAL GPU card (Five/Six Remaining) on: September 13, 2012, 07:04:01 AM
Without an idea of what you are looking for, I doubt you'll get many serious offers.  And of course the longer you wait, the lower the price you'll get will go.  At this point, GenTarkin's offer looks over the top. Not sure you'd be able to get $150 for these right now.  Only 2.5 months or less left to block reward halving.
They're worth closer to $350 than $150 on ebay  Wink

437  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Dank Bank Deposits - low risk, dank soul guarantee - 2.0%-3.0% weekly on: September 13, 2012, 12:12:11 AM
if dank really designed that avatar from scratch then we just might be able to put him to work and he can earn BTC the old fashioned way then run up enough to buy himself the car, house, and hookah bar he has always wanted.

His design work is actually pretty good for a specific market.  Unfortunately, he doesn't seem interested in taking on large design projects which would bring in significant money.  Not sure whether his skills are good enough to segue into environmental and interior design or whether graphic design is his niche.
Regardless, it's not really the sort of thing that requires you to bring in deposits...
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Price of PPCoin[PPC] on: September 12, 2012, 11:56:37 PM
PPC value is so in a bubble. 0.0009 btc?

LOL!

There will be 2 billion of them total. Litecoin for example is at 0.0035.

Just do the math.

Anyways happy buying at these ridiculously high prices for PeePeeCoin.

 Cheesy

Just clicked your post history, literally everything you've written is calling something a scam, or, writing something childish/trolling.  I was going to reply seriously too Sad.

Check my posts back last year as I made huge profit on Ixcoin, I0coin, Solidcoin, and Litecoin.

Or you can believe the trolls and buy HIGHER! LOL

Your best friend,

Or just do what I do and sell mining contracts as people flood in  Smiley
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitparking PPCoin Pool - PPS, Variable Difficulty, Pays Invalids on: September 12, 2012, 10:31:49 PM
I've started a PPCoin pool. It's based on the merge mining pool I run  but doesn't merge mine, it only mines PPCoin.

I've kept everything deliberately sparse. Coin addresses can't be edited once created (by design) but you can register a new username anytime with new addresses. This is to prevent unauthorized people modifying addresses.

Large hashrate miners can choose to set their own difficulty to mine at. To do this set your password to be "d=8" to mine at difficulty 8. Change '8' to any number less than the current PPCoin difficulty. Your payment per share will be that 'd' value times the PPS value listed on the site.

PPS value is calculated as: (current block value) / difficulty * 0.975 which is a 2.5 percent fee.

When proof of stake starts working I'll investigating paying out proof of stake rewards based on user balances.

Do you think you can handle ~65Gh/s?
