101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Elon Musk's Tweets... on: February 04, 2021, 02:46:37 PM
"No highs, no lows, only Doge"

"Dogecoin is the people’s crypto"

This guy is only playing with you and the markets. It's all fun for him, he's just trolling.

Yes, he's playing, the DOGE is 50% up, and it's a good time to go against for some quick money.

Maybe he needs to do it:

Elon Musk tells his 44.8 million Twitter followers he's stepping away from the platform 'for a while'

102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best & worst time to trade Ethereum? on: February 03, 2021, 03:31:48 PM
So you want to use a chart to enter into crypto trading? Thinking that crypto trading is time base is the biggest mistake you will make, you need to learn the basics skills of trading, not some useless chart

It looks like that you don't understand what OP is showing us.

The graph shows different Ether fees during the days and when it's cheaper to make a transaction. I find it very useful.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum (ETH) derivatives data suggests traders expect prices above $2,000 on: February 03, 2021, 02:23:23 PM
I'm not surprised, with all Ethers staked into ETH 2.0 and all Ethers into different DeFi projects. Ether will only grow.

The negative size - we will easily pay $20 per transaction!
104  Economy / Economics / Re: How they get rich - Changpeng Zhao on: February 02, 2021, 03:11:36 PM
CZ's Binance is impressive work. When somebody hacked Binance a couple of years ago and stole nearly $80mn, they didn't stop and just shut down like many others. But recovered the funds from their own pockets(profits) and strengthened Binance security. That's the attitude of successful people!
105  Economy / Economics / Re: Ray Dalio: What I Think of Bitcoin on: February 02, 2021, 02:55:01 PM
I read his Linkedin post a couple of days ago.

Ray Dalio is speaking objectively and without unnecessary hate, but still, he's very cautious about what he's publishing openly. Anyway, Bitcoin is the FUTURE!
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: recent negative statement against Bitcoin on: February 02, 2021, 02:29:45 PM
It seems like a standard government's tactics to scare the ordinary people about how evil are cryptocurrencies.

Twenty days ago, the UK regulator FCA 'warned' about the thing: Bitcoin: be prepared to lose all your money, FCA warns consumers (https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/jan/11/bitcoin-be-prepared-to-lose-all-your-money-fca-warns-consumers-risk-productis-cryptoassets).

I don't think anybody investing in crypto believes these 'regulators'.
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you buy 1 bitcoin and hold for years in your own offline wallet, taxes? on: February 01, 2021, 04:10:42 PM
Everything depends on your country of residence.

For example, as a Bulgarian, I have to pay taxes only when I turned this bitcoin into fiat.

But if you are in the UK, you are taxable on every crypto conversion. In the US there are other propositions.

For the best - ask a professional and accredited local tax advisor.
108  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] CatDeFi Scam project on: January 31, 2021, 04:54:44 PM
Good job, Small Rabbit!

These days every second scammer try to do "DeFi" projects with a hollow token and copied site. I don't know why people are still giving money without doing due diligence!
109  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Български (Bulgarian) on: January 31, 2021, 04:44:02 PM

110  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and cryptocurrency on: January 30, 2021, 04:42:42 PM
Fiat and cryptocurrency are different in many ways, principally by the way they operate.

Handle your grandpa 100 000 satoshis and tell him to buy some bread and butter with them Smiley
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: e-gold founder Douglas Jackson: His view on Bitcoin in 10 years on: January 30, 2021, 03:09:04 PM
He's maybe jealous of Bitcoin and that e-gold didn't make it.

Crypto-currencies, token, DeFi and the whole eco-system is much sophisticated than his e-gold.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Tesla Fight! on: January 30, 2021, 02:10:46 PM
Speculatively speaking, counting only the market cap, Bitcoin will win.

Tesla cannot be pumped much more, while Bitcoin could easily double or triple once more are we saw in the past 45 days.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gaming Laptops for Ethereum mining on: January 30, 2021, 12:49:55 PM
You can indeed use any machine, but usually, the laptops' airflow design is not made 24/7, and the laptop itself is wearing much faster.

I wouldn't ruin a gaming laptop for mining. I tried a year ago on 2060 mobile with Ryzen - it was unbearably noisy.

115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach $50k by the end of 2021? on: January 29, 2021, 05:43:11 PM
I believe it will reach $50k by the end of this year. There is enormous FOMO right now, both from retails and institutional investors.

If the US/SEC doesn't do anything drastic, especially now after the Robinhood + DOGE fiasco, we may see the $50k even sooner.
116  Economy / Speculation / Re: Baba Vanga's Prediction for bull market in 2021 on: January 29, 2021, 04:09:33 PM

We can interpret from this prediction that we could have a bull market with a lot of Zero's (bitcoin)  Tongue

Utter bulls***s! Smiley

I'm Bulgarian, as she's. The woman lived in an age where nobody in Bulgaria knew what the internet is and in a place that nobody knew what a computer is.

While Baba Vanga helped many people while she was alive, now they are putting words in her mouth for every second event.
117  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KRAKEN - COINBASE down!!! on: January 29, 2021, 03:23:44 PM
What is going on??
Are they pulling a Robin Hood on us?!?!!

Tried 40 mins to get in - and when I am in it's impossible to trade, it just kicks you out!

Furious!

Kraken Balances & Login was down while the trading platform *the Battle Station* was relatively stable for an outburst. I was able to put/cancel orders in 30% of the time. I don't think the Kraken crash is connected to Robinhood. I believe it was a normal technical problem as I got '500 timeout error' multiple times.

Everything is fine for me for nearly 10 hours. For you?

Edit: Nearly 60 seconds after my post, Kraken entered into maintenance again Cheesy

https://status.kraken.com/

I still can see the Battle Station trades but cannot 'Connect to start trading'

What I like:

- 700+ already

Why I will not play:

Certified Fair... our Random Number Generator (RNG) has been certified by iTech Labs, "one of the leading accredited testing laboratories for the certification of online gaming systems worldwide."

Make it Provably Fair and you will have a chance in the crypto community.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Last 2017/18 Bull Market compared to Current One on: January 28, 2021, 03:54:45 PM
The complex market conditions are different than in 2018.

A month ago, we were cheering a $15k Bitcoin. Now we are whining that Bitcoin is 'only' $30k and what will gonna do in this bearish market. I'm calm, and even I find it normal if there is some drop to $25k or $20k. It will give me a chance to buy some more for the long game.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whcih countries will be forthcoming on adopting Bitcoin on a natioanl level? on: January 28, 2021, 03:16:57 PM
With every passing day, we have been seeing more and more institutions and governments becoming forthcoming on the crypto scene. So, what do you think, which countries will take the adoption on a national scale and why?

I don't think that any country will adopt it on a national level any time soon.

Why? There are few obstacles:

- fee on every transaction (LN is a solution)
- MAX number of transactions per block + slow blocks. IN every given country, you have millions to billions of transactions daily. (LN is a solution)
- trans-border trades
- VAT, import, and other taxes (without fluctuating rates)
- 1001 more problems on a national scale
