1961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it stupid to buy alts with bitcoin now ?? on: February 01, 2018, 03:15:57 PM
With bitcoin low, some alts are dancing like crazy when you compare them vs btc and not vs usd. So my question is .... is it really that smart to buy alts with bitcoin now, if or not if when bitcoin starts to move upwards again wont alts go down like crazy ?? Or is it worth taking a chance on something and hope for the best? PS! I'm trying to accumulate BTC not dollars  Tongue

Altcoin trading always be risky but you can make good profit other side could be big lose !
so if you jump into Altcoin then be prepared to face bot situation !

Happy Trading
Thanks
Regards

because the marketcap on altcoin is not big as bitcoin, so it is quite possible that an altcoin market is manipulated by a whale, or a small marketcap that makes altcoin market becomes more fluctuating than bitcoin, so that's why switching to investing in altcoin is stupid things and very risky, but I think it's not a stupid thing if you use with the right calculations. eg not leaving bitcoin as the main investment, using altcoin only for alternative investment or trading only, not replacing bitcoin as a major investment
1962  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies aren't anonymous anymore on: February 01, 2018, 02:58:10 PM
All the government regulation could indirectly make cryptocurrencies aren't anonymous because it's forced the KYC verification for anything related to cryptocurrencies. But that doesn't mean the anonymity in the cryptocurrencies will end. that only the matter of choice neither it the people want to still anonymous or they didn't give a sh* for their own privacy.
I have never seen or heard of a government requiring verification of data or kyc on bitcoin users in their country, maybe just some exchange sites and some online wallet only, but not all exchanges or wallets require verification of data in order to make transactions, so for now cryptocurrency can still be used for undercover and anonymous transactions, moreover there are some masternode altcoin, of course you can use that coin for the transaction and you will get anonymous identity
1963  Economy / Speculation / Re: Report: Bitcoin to $25,000 by 2022 on: January 31, 2018, 01:29:19 AM
Op, such prediction appeared in so many places before now and I believe it is a possibility that is bound to happen and may not happen at all. But if bitcoin should continue the way it's value move this year that it will reach $25000 by 2022 though it is not a guarantee that it will come an accomplishment at the end of 2022.
Bitcoin has moved from $1000 from the beginning of the year  and it's currently hovering around  $9200 as of right now and it has the potential of reaching $10000 before the year ends. I think it will be an understatement to say it reach $25000 by 2022, I believe it will reach $20000 by next year ending if not higher.
bitcoin prices are very volatile even before this, bitcoin price reaches $19k almost touching $20k, but then the price drops due to recover and FUD, but I think bitcoin prices will definitely go back up again in the next few weeks or months, though bitcoin is considered ugly against the government but the spread of bitcoin will not be too disturbed, in my area bitcoin thrives, a lot of people start to know and invest in bitcoin, from that I'm sure that bitcoin will reach at least $25k in the next few years
1964  Economy / Economics / Re: With Hackers everywhere, How safe is Cryptocurrency? on: January 30, 2018, 11:16:37 AM
I agree that there are a lot of safety issues, and hackers are ready to exploit them, but lot of people are completely unaware of the risks and they don't take any security measure.
One thing to avoid those hackers is safe your coin in a hard wallet, or just simply don't open those site or link that send to you because some of them can use by those hackers to get you personal information.
I have never experienced a single hacking problem, I never lost any single coin in 5 years I use cryptocurrency, my wallet several times almost in collapse, luckily I use sms authentication, always be careful when opening the wallet, because it may be a phishing site which you open, and do not forget to add antivirus on your computer, because it is very possible the virus can make you lose your coin, add 2fa for your wallet, with that way I never get hacked,,
1965  Economy / Economics / Re: Still Trading When Red? on: January 28, 2018, 11:40:27 PM

It is said that we can make money in trading when the market is up as well as when the market is down. Right now, the cryptocurrency market is experiencing a big bloodbath (though there might have been bigger ones before) where some are estimating that we lost around 40% of the market value so far. Though I personally believe that this is just temporary and very historical (it happened in the past on the same period), it is still sad to see what we have already gained just wipe out in some hours and days. This is just the way with cryptocurrency market...

Under this dire situation, are you still trading or you are pausing for a while just waiting for the right timing when to buy coins and tokens again?

yes I still do trading on some altcoins like ethereum, doge, and ripple but I never think I will hold it for a long time, I just look for a little profit and sell it and I think ''day trading'' is good to do now
great traders can look for opportunities even though the market is red and can take advantage of it, the red market does not mean the price will continue to fall, there must be a time the price will rise even if only briefly and great traders can surely make good use of it, but I am not a trader which is great, there is a big risk if trading when the downtrend occurs, that's why keeping long-term for altcoin at risk, but if the market is still red, I'd rather just look, wait until the market returns conducive and do trading again,
1966  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading strategies on: January 27, 2018, 01:09:58 AM
Does anyone here have a trading strategy where they look at functionality or the development team behind the coin?

This is not a "trading strategy" and i wouldn`t say that it is a strategy at all.
The same thing is when you buy stocks from some company. You look at the team that is running the company. This is not a strategy,it`s just common sense. Many good development teams can ruin some altcoin or some ICO project.Don`t rely only on this information, when you are making investment decisions.

I think it's relative mate, everyone is free to say that it's a strategy, I think when you see the dev team of that coin you want to buy it is an additional information to determine whether you're sure to buy the coin or not, the active and trusted develepment team can provide additional value for the coin market, so freely they say that "look ANN thread, see development team before buying its strategy, and I think it's also enough to give you a view to see if the coin is potential or not
1967  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Banks: needed? on: January 27, 2018, 12:50:46 AM
Well, a bitcoin bank is just a philosophical contradiction,  because bitcoin was create just to allow people to not depend from banks.
But actually any online wallet that keep you private key is practically a bank!
Probably, they will start to offer typical bank services.

Btw, I don't trust them at all, and I prefer to keep my private key under my control.
Thats true, in the widespread sense of online wallet that has your private key is actually a bank, because they have full control over your bitcoin, I think when cryptocurrency banks arrive they do not offer a new system, just like online wallet and add other facilities like interest, loans, etc, which is the main problem is lost decentralization and identity that becomes visible, yeah I don't really like this idea and I didnt need it, but as long as it is not a liability, it does not need to be fussed
1968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US government tax on bitcoin? on: January 26, 2018, 07:25:19 AM
The U.S. government believes that bitcoin is tax-deductible as an asset whether used or held.
Tell me, your point of view.
I am not an american but i had read taxes for bitcoin in America, so US government see bitcoin not as currency but as asset and property because of that income from bitcoin can be taxed, the way is each individual is obliged to write the income they get from bitcoin in a their ledger "total annual income". I don't know the data can be accurate or not, because you know that bitcoin is anonymous. so maybe a person can manipulates their earnings?
1969  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how risky is day trading? on: January 25, 2018, 12:58:47 AM
trading bitcoin I think it is high risk but also has a high profit. so be careful to determine when to buy and when to sell to avoid losses. currently the price of bitcoin is greatly down perhaps because of the always bad news about bitcoin
when we are going to trade we should be able to see the development of coin prices and chart movement from day to day. because the risk of trading is so high that analyzing and looking at a coin is our job that we must understand every time.
Therefore we are required to have a high knowledge of the crypto market and the skills to read or analyze a coin in the market, it is necessary for someone who wants to daytrading. daytrading pose a big risk because the price changes very quickly and allows you to lose if you are not good in analyzing coin market prices, for example if you are not good at getting to analysis you could buy a coin at a high price and just after you buy the price down? that's the risk that I mean, you have to be good at reading the chart of a coin in the market
1970  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crash, when will it end? on: January 25, 2018, 12:42:07 AM
Why are people only seeing charts from 2 weeks in the past? Have you forgotten that price of BTC in 2017 was barely touching $10k?
We had amazing price climb, from couple thousands to over $20k and then the market dipped and a natural correction happened.
For now, the price is not rising because people are still scared of news from China and South Korea but we still have a price much higher than we had in 2017...
I think because they buy bitcoins at high prices, bought in 2 weeks ago before the price crashes and chaos happens, of course they will see from side when they buy it, if they buy at low price, for example when they buy bitcoin when price is under $9k, of course they will not be too concerned about the current price now, and they will still be patient because they have not lost anything, I bought bitcoin at the price of $15k a few days ago and I am very messed up, I know that the price is down because of the correction and panic because of the news ban from some asia countries, but these losses really make me fucked up, I start to think when the price will go back up, when will it end ?
1971  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: January 24, 2018, 11:23:33 AM
I use 2 strategies when trading , technically and fundamentally.
technical I use when the market again crowded , example coin ICO.
fundamental I use when looking at the specifications of the specification of the coin, example ETH
is that ICO including trading? lol, I kind of agree with you by choosing a crowded coin, bustling in the sense of having a big marketcap, with it you can get(filled) your orderm in short time, from marketcap or volume you can also analyze how much demand and supply in that coin, so you can determine whether the price of the coin will rise or fall within a certain period of time, when you've found a coin that has a good market, you can continue to look at the specifications of that coin, just to make sure the coin has an innovative and great technology or not and potential or not?
1972  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: do bitcoin gambling sites need gambling licenses? on: January 24, 2018, 10:56:04 AM
am new to forum, I currently use mainstream sites like betfair but as looking to gamble my bitcoins but wondered if dice sites etc need a licensee, and should I steer clear of ones that don't?

no it is not correct to giving license for gambling sites. because then all the people try to do gambling. gambling is not easy issue it is risky process. who want to become rich in easy way and they had no ethical values for doing like that business. so like that people interested to gambling. any government not encourage like this activities it is harmful to society so no one can give licenses for this.
nope I think you're wrong, in some countries gambling in legalized and when you want to build a gambling house you have to ask for permission and license from the government, in some countries like the USA (in some states), hongkong, china, etc legalize gambling and certainly have to go through a permit from the government to create gambling houses, as well as gambling sites, although it is not mandatory I think licenses will make them more trustworthy, and of course freely circulated in the country,
1973  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better investement right now, bitcoins or Altcoins. on: January 23, 2018, 07:31:20 AM
If I planned on buying some coins today. Which would be the better long term investment, and why?
if im going to choose one which is better investment between bitcoin or altcoins, i would go o bitcoin becausr biycoin nowadays are good and it is one of the trustworthy when it comes to investing and also the price of bitcoin are getting higher and higher so i prefer bitcoin than altcoins.
for the priority of course we will choose bitcoin because it is much more popular and known, and from that ofcourse the development will be much faster bitcoin than altcoin but on other hand you can also use both, using altcoin as another alternative investment, you know altcoin will follow in the footsteps of bitcoin, when bitcoin gets popular then altcoin will also follow become increasingly popular, so investment priority remains on bitcoin, but you can use altcoin for your second investment,,
1974  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you don't buy you will cry on: January 23, 2018, 07:24:18 AM
Yes buy when bitcoin price goes down and stay on your principle, do not panic selling when bitcoin price fall lower than the price when you buy. In this condition I prefer to hold my bitcoin and waiting until the price reach $ 20k. I trust in the next month bitcoin price Will increase.
Buy bitcoin while price now is cheap and grab the big chance to earned profit. Yes never panic selling on bitcoin price when becomes drops. Usually it will go high again so think of buying more when you have money and I also choose to hold mine then wait for the price to rose again.
maybe the more appropriate is not crying but disappointed, if you do not buy bitcoin now I can make sure you will be very disappointed in a few years, upss or even the next few months, because I'm sure bitcoin prices will definitely grow up to see many people in different worlds adopt bitcoin no matter their government forbids bitcoin, because they already think bitcoin is a great technology and a promising investment, one more thing, you'll be disappointed if you do not buy now, especially now that prices are down a few percent, check markets now. this is the right time to buy,,
1975  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: January 20, 2018, 11:56:12 PM
Losing is just the normal thing in trading. You can't always succeed unless you are God. but, the most important thing is that you have to learn from those mistakes and never repeat.

yeah.. and all those who think that "losing" is just a bad thing, are the ones who are always going to have incredible losses while they are trading.. This is the truth, you really need to fait at some point in order to be a succesfull trader.

I think the fear of losses is natural things mate, everyone wants to be rich and risk their wealth to get rich from trading, that's why they are afraid of losing trades because it will certainly harm them, but you're right that a great trader should be able to manage their fears so as not to have a bad influence on him, you should be able to keep your fears out of panic,,
1976  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you plan to sell? on: January 18, 2018, 07:24:52 AM
So for me I will buy some altcoins and wait for it to pump before you sell it, if you are a ahort term trader just choose the altcoins that are very active from pump and dump.. But if youre a long term type of trader then set your sell up to 100% of profit from your buying price. It defend on your choice but the most important one is to gain and not to loose.
if you're a daily trader maybe you'll do more sales, probably when the price has exceeded the price I bought earlier, then I would think to sell but that depends on the market conditions if marketcaps keeps growing I will hold it until the price stops rising then I will sell it, for long-term investments. I think you should set a target price you want to achieve, target price to your liking,,
1977  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I dont like daytrading on: January 18, 2018, 06:58:59 AM
Day trading need most of your time which i don't have and i can't stay hanging in front of markets that is why i prefer to go with long term methodology choosing best coins to store for at least one year .
yeah I think daytrading takes a lot of time every day because you have to do some analysis on certain coins and have to stand by in the market because the price change is very fast moving, I think if you do not have much time then it would be better if you choose long term investment, because longterm investment it does not take much time every day
1978  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day Trading (Scalping) and Long term trading on: January 15, 2018, 11:54:54 PM
Which is better to make more profit between Day Trading and Long teem trading. I want to make more profits trading Cryptocurrency, I need to know which of the two makes huge return mostly
I think both types of trading are equally generating a large return, and also high risk. but if you already believe one of these trades then should occupied with your skills and strategies. This trade is very profitable for us, but if you do not know how to trade then it will not be profitable, but will harm your own. then before trading should first learn how to trade, so no trouble in trading later.
I think long term trading does not really need special skills, you just have to decide when it's the right time to buy and most users already know when the price goes down they buy bitcoin, and you just have to hold it and wait for some time, while day trading has a high risk see prices always fluctuate, and very likely prices fall in the near future and give you a loss, do not do day trading if you are not skilled in it,,
1979  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing money on bitcoin..! on: January 15, 2018, 11:51:38 PM
Nowadays many people are starting to invest money on bitcoin or the buy bitcoin..is this a good approach?
How this will influence us in future?
You should not be surprised anymore on seeing a lot of people investing on bitcoin right now because it has been the hottest topic last year. Many people were already able to become successful after investing on bitcoin and the influence of it keeps on growing day by day. In the future, many people will surely end up becoming rich which will benefit the country's economy.
I think even though it sounds easy to get rich from bitcoin, but the reality is not that easy, especially if your capital is small, to get a profit from holding you need a long time, because the price may not fit your expectations, it takes patience to get the advantages of bitcoin investments, not all users actually make a profit, there are some people who lose, maybe because they panic and not be patient when bitcoin prices drop like today,,
