741  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Have American hasher producers surrender? on: February 22, 2015, 12:33:27 PM
I've got some ideas, mostly sprouted from discussions around the BE300. I'm contemplating fetching some sample chips from Spondoolies to see what we can do with 'em, but I don't know if we have the tools required to work with BGA properly. Just guessing Bitmain doesn't sell chips, since I've never seen a third-party miner with their chips on it, but the current gen would be super nice to play with in the design idea Novak and I came up with.

I've been holding to see what happens with the BE300 chips. It would be awesome if someone could get their
hands on some and make something. I know its hard to get the funding and support for that kind of project though.
742  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Cell phone internet? on: February 22, 2015, 12:25:44 PM
USB tether your phone to the host PC.

I kinda figured that would be the case. I found a video on you tube using a pi http://youtu.be/x_yhJ_QBfaU
I'm gonna look around some more and see if anyone has had luck with a wifi dongle. I think that might work as well.
Thanx for the advice.
743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make Bitcoin legal Tender? (U.S.) on: February 21, 2015, 09:52:32 PM
Bitcoin doesn't need to be the actual currency used to purchase goods. You can always convert it into fiat and then spend it.

Yeah I know...That's what I do now.
744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legalize Bitcoin? (U.S.) on: February 21, 2015, 09:39:38 PM
It's been done in California...But how would regular people get
the ball rollin' in other states???

As far as I know, it's not illegal in any of the other states currently.

No its not Illegal to use. But if I wanna go to sears and purchase a new lawnmower
I can't use Bitcoin to do it.

Then you need to ask the management of Sears to take Bitcoin. That's up to them, just like when it was up to businesses to decide to take payments from credit cards when they came out.

I'll do that. Thanx!!!

... then change your thread title, it is misleading and not correct. At the other user told, bitcoin is not illegal.

Done. Maybe that will help clear things up.

I've changed the title 3 times cause people are not understanding it.
I know Bitcoin is LEGAL!!!
I know what the idea behind Bitcoin is and I like the hell out of it!!!
I DO NOT Think Bitcoin should be overseen in anyway by the state/gov!!!

I would like to see my state follow in the steps of California to let Bitcoin be
accepted by the "mainstream"!!!

Hell the people in my town have never even heard of Bitcoin!!! Angry

751  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Faucets? on: February 21, 2015, 07:40:49 PM
I've had some great payouts from http://moneyinpjs.com/

They offer more than just faucets for satoshies!!!
752  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is BTC-Flow a scam? on: February 21, 2015, 07:32:49 PM
I don't think the standard faucet is a scam---But the upgrades
seem very scammy. I tried the faucet and received a payout.
753  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Spondoolies SP20 - In The Cold on: February 21, 2015, 04:28:34 PM
This is a good review. Do you plan on updating over the next few months as the warm weather
starts again? I'm curious to see how they run during a temp change.
754  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Methods of getting free electricity on: February 21, 2015, 04:22:11 PM
other than stealing it---which if you choose to do you're a douchebag--none of it is free.
However my electric company in the U.S. offers different rates you can choose if you use a lot of power.
Regular residential electricity is about .13kwh or commercial is about .09kwh.

Low cost alt electric such as wind/solar would be good after you get ROI on equipment.
755  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining at home vs Mine Hosting? on: February 21, 2015, 04:12:18 PM
if you choose to do a Hosted service it would probably be better to go local.(your country)
I'm not saying far away services are not good, but when your miner becomes
obsolete or they can no longer provide efficient service you'll be paying the cost
to ship it/them back to you.

This would be a great option for hardware reviews and How to do posts.
Unfortunately there is always some schmuck out there tryin' to backdoor
someone!!!
757  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best Guitarist ever ? on: February 21, 2015, 03:29:06 PM
Although My heart says Albert King, cause he played a right strung guitar
left handed and inspired most of the guitarist that are on this list, I'll say:

Django Reinhardt

I don't even care for jazz but this guy kicked some major ass!!!
He only had 2 working fingers on his fret hand!!!
758  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best 'old school games'? on: February 21, 2015, 03:20:15 PM

759  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Very low mining rate on: February 21, 2015, 01:57:17 PM
You might want to check out the alt mining threads for this set up.
I'm pretty sure my radeon 7950 wouldn't make a dent in a bitcoin pool.
760  Bitcoin / Mining support / Cell phone internet? on: February 21, 2015, 01:26:18 PM
