Tell your friend to go on amazon if they want eroupters. I had someone buy off a bunch of my set a short while ago though I didn't ask why. I kept hoping there was life after bitcoin for eroupters but nothing ever passed my way (like folding at home support or bonzi gpu applications [which do seti and a bunch of other group processing programs]

Ankers work for most but they are 3.0 and will cause pain if you plug in a 3.0 port (zombies and disappearing devices. I'm hoping 3.0 will be bitcoin friendly if people start building on its spec though.

Post again once you get your hubs. I'd hope that'll be the issue and your friend will get their free eroupter.

Got the hubs and they're working great!
The Ants even got recognized without the BE's!!!
BTW, they are 3.0 but I've kept the cables in the box and plugged 2.0 cables, since I have no 3.0 USB ports on this computer.

hello, do you know how to setup logging on cgminer with GNU Screen (linux)?

I'm trying redirecting the stderr but cause of screen that won't work.

This doesn't work:
Code:
/usr/bin/screen -dmS cgminer bin/cgminer -c miner_conf.json 2>cgminer.log

Try
Code:
/usr/bin/screen -dmS cgminer bin/cgminer -c miner_conf.json 2 | tee cgminer.log

Instead Cheesy

If you want to append the log file, use "tee -a".

Hey ckolivas!

12h have passed without any crash.
Just the usual incidents caused by the hubs, but nothing new.
I still have to try to run the U1's without the BE in this version but I'll wait for when my new hubs arrive.

Thank you very much!!
No, thank you for the bug report and for reporting back.  Smiley

To be honest, I never thought it was a bug.
I thought it would be something weird with my hubs, since it never happened before.
I posted here seeking some solution, never thought about it as a bug. Smiley
But, I'm glad to help, every time I can.
And if you ever need to test something out, just drop me a message and I'll compile it with no problem at all.
BTW, any suggestion to find out why I can't manage to have U1 recognized if I don't plug a BE?

Thank you again!

I haven't any 3.0 ports in this machine, yet so I guess I'm safe.
I will Wink, thanks!

And again...
I have no clue what's happening...

Code:
 [2014-07-15 09:24:41] Failed to sem_timedwait errno=22 cgsem=0x0x7f943e7f9270 in usbutils.c callback_wait():2766
Looks like a cgminer bug actually at not dealing with a timer overflow. Try the latest cgminer from git.

Compiled fine and so far so good, but I'll only be able to confirm tomorrow or so.
Sometimes it only lasted 2h, sometimes about 9h.

But anyway, thank you very much, I'll keep you updated. Smiley

If its an antminer u2 and its hot  its probably not being recognized right. I had to re sit my ant u2's to get them to work right and then sold them since they don't play nice with other devices( they mined, but they reset over and over).
*If you see double blinks somethings up,,, be it playing nice or them being really picky where they connect into.

BTW you know you have a block eroupter still plugged in apparently.

I suspect a lot of the hub but I'm waiting for a pair of ankers to arrive...
Some are (at least for my touch) hot as usual and some are cold (I have 7 of them).
They are cooled by a fan directed to them from the side.
Yes, I must have the BE inserted or I can't have cgminer to recognize the U1's! :-/
Already tried to figure out this one specially because a friend of mine wants to take my be's for his experiences... but i quited. It was easier to let it there...
Weird, isn't it? o_O

What version are you using [and is it a ckolivias version]

Yes it is.
Version 4.4.1:

Hi ckolivas!

Look, I'm running cgminer 4.4.1 and I'm getting "Failed to sem_timedwait errno=22 cgsem=0x0x7f030dff8270 in usbutils.c callback_wait():2766" a lot, lately.
After this, my screen session renders unusable and I have to create a new one.
This last part isn't important, but as for the error, I can't get cgminer to function for more than about few hours:

I've got a worst problem:
2 of my 3 BFx2 are aside until I solve my problems with my hubs.
The one I'm plugging them, somehow doesen't deliver it's 3,5A to the ports.
When I plug one other, the further from the usb cable doesn't light the vcore led.
If I unplug the one with vcore's led lit, the other one light's the led and start's mining.
On other hub I get "unrecognized device", although Antminers, BE's and pen drives work on it. (although somehow i can't have more than 4 antminers for now, even with 10A... something weird over here...)

Are you sure it is really 10Amp?

You''re right. It's 30A.
It's a 350w ATX PSU.
