1181  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First bitcoin purchases(Also, Hello!) on: July 31, 2013, 01:07:45 PM
If I'm allowed...
I have a somehow stupid question, but...
But since I have old psu's, why can't I use one of these:
1182  Local / Biete / Re: USB-Erupter - NEUER PREIS AB DEM 30.07. on: July 31, 2013, 07:23:23 AM

it looks like it will take 1-2 days to clear all questions between yxt and me (pricing, shipping, warranty etc.). After that i will post the new price for orders in the topic/startpost.
Also i will then write PMs to all buyers about the Bonus-programm (cheaper sticks for 0.2 ? 0.3? BTC)

For shipping outside germany i will calculate new prices incl. premium-shipping by dhl for faster delivery.

best regards
Menig

Great news!!!
Can't wait for the PM!!
Thank you!
1183  Local / Biete / Re: USB-Erupter - NEUER PREIS AB DEM 30.07. on: July 30, 2013, 08:39:45 AM
everyone says that individual sticks will cost 0.69, but I thought the purpose of a group buy is to lower the price for smaller orders...
I really hope the price for small orders will be a few bitcents lower than 0.69 BTC...
And it is. If you buy 5, you get 0.6 for each. :-D
What I wonder is for how much can I get two, since I've already bought a pair of these. Some say 0.4/each, other say 0.1, etc, and I'd loved to know exact numbers.
1184  Local / Biete / Re: USB-Erupter - NEUER PREIS AB DEM 30.07. on: July 30, 2013, 07:38:14 AM
Yes, please confirm us the price so I can place an order!
Thank you!
1185  Local / Biete / Re: USB-Erupter - 1.04 BTC on: July 29, 2013, 10:12:59 PM

GREAT NEWS:
YXT ANSWERED MY EMAILS:
NEW PRICES FOR STICKS COMING TOMORROW, ALSO THERE WILL BE A CHEAPER PRICE FOR EACH STICK YOU BUYED AT 1.04 WHICH WILL REDUCE THE PRICE FOR A NEW STICK
(for example: if you buyed 10 Sticks for 1.04, and the new price would be 0.6 BTC, you can buy 10 Sticks for... maybe 0.4BTC) .

Great news!!! Thank you!!
Since I've bought 2, what price could i get another two? The rest would be in the normal price, of course.
1186  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: NEW ASIC 2 Giga hash / sec USB miner - anybody interested ? on: July 28, 2013, 09:22:46 PM
http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/

just check here and see what price you would be willing to pay. play with the numbers for estimated diff. & price increase per month

That still doesn't answer my question.
Playing with the numbers or not, you asked my why 2BTC and I've answered it was a ceiling.
I asked you how much would you pay for, and you point me to a mining calculator.
Would you please answer how much would you pay for, then?
1187  Local / Biete / Re: USB-Erupter - 1.04 BTC on: July 28, 2013, 09:18:07 PM
Menig, as soon as you have the answer from yxt, please let us know in English also.
I might be interested in some more from 2 to 6, at least.
1188  Local / Biete / Re: USB-Erupter - 1.04 BTC - 138 Sticks auf Lager on: July 28, 2013, 02:20:45 PM
Would we benefit from the 0.1BTC/unit for those who bought earlier?
If so, I'd be eligible for 2 units @ 0.2BTC plus shipping!  Grin
1189  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: NEW ASIC 2 Giga hash / sec USB miner - anybody interested ? on: July 28, 2013, 02:20:01 PM
I'd buy for about 2BTC at current price.

May I ask why 2 BTC? You will most likely not get those back

What price would you propose, then?
Less than this, I'd be definitively interested.
2BTC would be the ceiling.
1190  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: NEW ASIC 2 Giga hash / sec USB miner - anybody interested ? on: July 28, 2013, 12:38:55 PM
I'd buy for about 2BTC at current price.
Don't forget that the Jalapeño was initially for $145 for 4.5Gh/s.

I don't know if anyone is interested, but here's a sketchup file with a rough USB erupter and an 80mm fan to play around.

Sorry ppl, perhaps a stupid question or the wrong place to put it, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere in my searches:
Can anyone provide me the physical dimensions of the USB ASIC Erupters?
I need the heat sink dimensions and the length from the end of the heat sink to the start of the usb, if you'd be kind.
Thank you all!

If it'll make you any less depressed...

Because the width of the USB connector is standardised, I can easily work it out by counting pixels. I measured the width of some standard USB connectors around my place with calipers and they were all 12.00 +/- 0.02 mm

From your supplied image, 90 pixels = 12.00 mm, thus 7.5 pixels per mm

Also from your pic:

X = 449 px = 60.0 mm
Y = 188 px = 25.1 mm
Z = 299 px = 39.9 mm

I have measured leniently the dimensions, they may be about +/- 0.1 mm, favoring the larger for your convenience so that it fits wherever you plan it to.

And,

Heatsink width: 25 mm
Heatsink length: 40 mm
Heatsink thickness: ~2.2 mm
From end of heatsink to end of USB: 20.2 mm

Trillium, I'd say you're my salvation, even if there is no way to save the earth.
The Vogons will destroy it anyway, in every single dimension...
Thank you a lot!!
