dev said so himself... I was on at the time. They are apparently closing up a vulnerability they themselves found.
and, just now: dev: i am think i am done dev: there is no hack/ no losses dev: its just my fault

Unless that dev is the hacker... :/ I can't even get on the site, it's completely down. The site only went down for a minute or two at the time trading was halted... it has been up since, with plenty of trolling in the trollbox, so if you can't get on, it is on your end. -- Smoov

Exchange works!
Error 503 again. Still error 503....what's going on with btc-e? Please tell me you have this good authority. I have a lot of funds tied up on there from transactions yesterday. dev goofed something up and halted trading while they fix it. -- Smoov dev said so himself... I was on at the time. SLL trading comes with its own significant risks, not the least of which is, the LL ToS which states that SLL is a virtual currency with no real world value, and may be taken back by LL at any time.
Then there is also the risks of people buying SLL through stolen credit cards and stolen accounts, that LL claws back, leaving the exchange eating the loss (which has happened many times already. speak to the guys running TheRock and VirWoX)

Only i0coin daemon have huge memory problem. You can merged mine btc+nmc+dvc+ixc I have 3GB ram on my mining vm and running also LTC and TRC nodes. Still have plenty ram as buffers.
Same here... tho I have TRC segregated, cuz something is going on with the TRC side having a negative impact on my shares... many more orphaned shares than I should be getting, like 3-4x as many. So, running my own private TRC p2pool. I can't even get I0C to fully load anymore cuz of the memory issue. -- Smoov

Sorry for the very late reply, Smoov. Unfortunately, all i have is a semi-recent DB backup to when it went down. However, should i start running P2Pmining.com again, I will be pulling info from the DB backup and paying that out of my personal wallet as I am responsible for the server going down. The only difference is that the server will not be running either NMC or I0C when (and if) it comes back online. Currently, I'm trying to get a hold of JayCoin so I can get the code for it again.
EDIT: Will also be open to suggestions about potential changes to how the p2pmining.com share system works. Right now it's really just a proportional split over a 24h period. I'd really like to switch it to Share-based PPLNS instead of Time-based like it is now. Also looking at making sure LTC isn't borked this time by one miner mining at 1MH/s while the rest are CPU mining it. Well, I can certainly understand I0C not coming back (unless whoever is tinkering with it actually gets it current again), but why discontinue NMC as well? -- Smoov

Just to add... in the end, after getting my verification information, SynOps did not respond to any further attempts by me to contact him, nor did he hold up his end of the commitment to my loan.
Had he responded to my messages, and just said they changed their mind and chose not to invest after all, then there would be no problem, but not even responding to my messages at all, has me more concerned.
So, anyone trying to provide verification documents with the name "Kenn Booth", or "Kenneth Booth", or other variants of it, consider it bad verification, as it did not come from me.

The wallet was changed after the attack, you should always generate a new address to make deposits. I will put the old wallet online and get the coins. Thnxy, appreciate it. Tulkas... How is the progress on this? I'm getting concerned... -- Smoov Hello Smoov, Put the old wallet online, the 8.30230209 BTC was there . sent to your BTCJam account. Thanks a bunch, Tulkas, saw the coin made it and paid it out to my lenders a couple hours ago. Appreciate the work to get that straightened out for me. -- Smoov

The entire "custom hardware" section is off-topic bullshit because there is no ASIC that actually exists and untill one does the whole lot belongs in speculation or gambling. Giving "hardware vendors" any credibility than is neccesary fuels the massive preorder scamming thats going on.
The whole section needs a similar warning to the long term lending section to beware of scams. It wouldn't be appropriate in 'custom hardware' anyways cuz it would be production hardware. Something built to the user's individual specs would be custom. -- Smoov I think you're confusing custom with homebrew. I've always inferred that the forums was to discuss custom bitcoin specific hardware rather than general purpose gpus or fpgas. I agree with Monster Tent's comment. No confusion whatsoever. When you're ordering a stock product from a company, you're ordering production hardware. When you're ordering a product from a company, to be designed and assembled to the specs you provide to them, you're ordering custom hardware. When you're cobbling together for yourself out of bits and pieces, and spare parts, which you design and assemble yourself, that is homebrew. No self-respecting homebrew enthusiast would farm it out for someone else to do it for them. You, sir, are the one confusing custom with homebrew. -- Smoov
