441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way to keep bitcoins? on: July 17, 2017, 03:41:08 PM
The safest way of keeping bitcoins safe is go for desktop wallet like Electrum, which gives you full rights to use anyway and holding the private keys for bitcoin address is good but in web wallet your wallet is in control of the site owner. So it is not good to keep bitcoin in web wallet and exchange also.

Electrum is a digital wallet since 2011 so it has some reputation on storing btc. But I think if you don't want your coin online and store it like gold and money, cold storage is the best way to do that.

The safest way ever is set up an offline computer with linux, install a wallet downloaded on another pc and make a new address while being offline. Send your coins from all your wallets/addresses to that offline wallet, create a backup copy and store them on a USB drive and boom! You've got yourself a perfectly safe offline storage with a backup in case the computer got damaged or stolen.

Nice advice. I've heard that Linux can be a library that you can arrange what you can do meticulously, but I don't have an experience yet on Linux so I will give this a try.
442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: July 17, 2017, 03:05:18 PM
It is so true that when i started bitcoin earning their was no one to believe me and after bitcoin gone past $1500 price most of my friends and cousins are getting interested and now they are also earning bitcoins.

Almost everyone here is experiencing that kind of stuff, but my case is worse even though I'm trying to tell them and show them how high Bitcoin prices soar they wouldn't believe in me, now when I have enough cash to sustain my needs and to buy my wants they are telling me how did I do it and also just like everyone is experiencing from the start, they mocked at you and laugh at you and sometimes saying that you are doing " bitchcoin" and know they are asking how did I do it?

There are some people who laughed and some people who believe and only one person believe in me that time, and right now he is earning here too, and the people who laughed at me and now asking how to have BTC, I just tell them that you didn't even listened when I first tell you about this do your own research now.

Token Sale Ends

Ether Goal          Transactions         Ether Received
264,000                 12,065                     108,919
almost half of the token sold (https://pillarproject.io/purchase). I think all token will be sold out withing 11 hours.

I'm hoping that the token will be sold out and have a good value in the market when released or else if they are not satisfied with the result extend the time limit of the crowdsale to one more day to sold or the tokens but this is unlikely to happen because one of their mainline is the 60 hour token sale.

That's what I observed when I opened the site of this wonderful project!
I leave this image in the topic for the memory of all the participants of the ISO and I wish the project to develop or at least be the first one in the questions of optimizing the interaction of a person (an ordinary person and not a programmer) with the computer world.

If the coins value doesn't go down these past days, I think we might have a much better results than this but still congratulations to the team. Wink  Wink
444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: July 17, 2017, 01:04:25 PM
Experience can be an advantage sometimes but may not really matter depend on what kind of game you are playing I think. For me when you gamble and if its not your lucky day to win no matter how good or how long you have been playing with that game if its not your day then you will not win.

Why only sometimes? For me experience is always helpful all the times. Because you have the idea on what's good and bad if you are into a certain situation. That's why if you don't think that experience is helpful all the time then you are not appreciating the essence of having good experience. For me experience does really matter in almost everything.

I think what he's trying to say here is that in gambling (unlike in work where you're investment is skills and experince), is that there are so many factors to consider like luck, roll of the dice and sometimes your own greed. No matter how experienced you are when you are facing the unknown you can't help but to take risks because there is no such thing as a 💯 win percentage in gambling that's why it's called a gamble. In work and real life challenges, the more experienced you are the more you have the edge on something but in gambling sometimes even a newbie might surprised you because of pure luck.
445  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [RANT] Mga pinoy sa bitcointalk on: July 17, 2017, 12:18:33 PM

Usapang crypto investing: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2014154.0
[ANN] ACT- 🔥Supporting Social Justice and Social Accountability: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2010261.0
Anung nangyari sa PesoBit? : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2012301.0
Topic: Ethereum classic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2007580.0

446  Local / Pilipinas / Re: The Best Wallet para sa Filipino on: July 17, 2017, 09:34:32 AM

447  Economy / Speculation / Re: I will not Die Untill Bitcoin will reach at Least 50K on: July 17, 2017, 08:41:57 AM
As we all know bitcoin price is being increasing yearly.  Now, it is about 1.2K.This seems to be happen to reach
50k but it will takes months/years.

Bitcoins reaching 10k $ this year is still blurry to me so I'm betting that it would take up to 5 years before reaching the 50k dollars mark and that's a lot of money. And I think like the title says here that " I will not die until Bitcoin will reach at least 50k ", this title is for holders who bought a lot of btc and expect that they will be an instant billionaires because of Bitcoin.
Take note : reaching 50k or not , we wont be able to do anything to prevent the odds of dying.
448  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Ano ang kailangan upang mapabilis ang pagiging NEWBIE to Jr. on: July 17, 2017, 07:24:48 AM

Tama.
450  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: July 17, 2017, 03:14:14 AM
Bitcoin will reach a new all-time high soon (In the next 0.01-100 years).

But seriously... The people curious about Bitcoin could up the price. They could just aswell drop it, as these newbies will probably panick-sell.

It would be awesome though if that's predictable, as then we get a rise, dump, rise... which means big profits! Cheesy

Regards,
Trump

Even me is getting nervous this coming August but I think when you know your stuff in storing btc with a good wallet ( hardware, or online wallet) then you will not panic on what going to happen. But it's good to consider the things you should do if something happened to btc. In my experience in trading I though I can predict the prices but things are different now these days, if btc goes up you won't know if the alts will go up or down. Sometimes it's really unpredictable to trade or what coin you are going to buy. I'm still not advanced in these stuffs but in my almost a year here, history doesn't repeat itself now. Sometimes even if you are a veteran, prices may surprise you.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspect of gambling - do you ever gamble with a friend? on: July 17, 2017, 12:42:30 AM
I never did gambling with people I just met, so I never got friends from gambling. But gambling with friends often happens, but only with old friends not with new people known.
IF you can call betting with as gambling, We sometimes bet money on who will eventually win in soccer console game, that's how my friends and i gamble.

With my friends I do that all the time, its not necessary to be in money, winner gets alcoholic drinks, chocolates, dinner's.
It depends how many of us play and we have different prizes. We also play poker if there as more then 5 of us, then we have micro buyins, nothing special around 1 $ for 1000 chips and with infinite rebuys.
Other then that I have moments when some friend comes and we try some roulette or slots, also poker we discuss hands before we call or rise, fold what ever..
Gambling can be social activity, but sometimes its better when I'm alone, I can relax more and follow my own strategies without any interference.
.

True. It's not always the money, sometimes it's just the fun. But we're not literally having a gambling like card games and roulettes or dice. Sometimes we are betting on a more funny game, for example a basketball up to 21 points full court, the loser will bring a beer or two or sometimes checkers or chess. When playing with !y relatives we're not just sticking to the casual gambling game. We gamble with sports and we gamble to do our best and to have a very good time together. Sometimes gambling is all about the bonds.
452  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong prefer mo altcoins or bitcoins? on: July 16, 2017, 11:50:49 PM
Most of all prefer both of them why? because bitcoins is the mother of all altcoins what I am saying here is about the connection of bitcoin to altcoins.
  • You can't get altcoin without bitcoins
  • Bitcoin has more power when it comes on user
  • Altcoins has more to do in trading

Both of them are good to hold Smiley
Pero if ako tatanungin
siyempre, altcoins mas malaki pa potential nila e, maybe they can boom ng x100 or x1000..  but it is risky not like bitcoin na may build na sa community, also because ang altcoin puwede siya maging dead coin so its risky.

453  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: how about this aug1 whats your plan? on: July 16, 2017, 10:25:29 PM

455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Pillar - The Personal Data Locker - 60hr Token sale begins July 15 on: July 16, 2017, 09:23:18 PM
Thanks for response 2030AG hi have an other question.

For ICO it's ok.

In your website i see a Presale and i don't understand.

Just ICO or Presale and after ICO ?

Thanks.

I think when it comes to business in selling goods a presale is a kind of sale that is much cheaper than the price. For example they are going to have a presale at a new energy drink, you can buy the energy drink at a much lower price and when it comes to market its price will be much higher than the price you got it from the presale period. And I think I don't quite understand how the are merging ICO and presale, ICO with a much lower pricemof coins?
456  Economy / Economics / Re: Looking for ideas to invest on: July 16, 2017, 08:24:01 PM
Many ways to invest, you should invest from now
And wait until the time comes, it may take a long time about 3-5 years, it will look the result.

True. Some people always looking for a quick money that can fill their pockets in such a short time. Even in a business or store you should wait for 3-6 years in order to measure if you're store is bearing fruit. Every investments takes time especially those who have a real world value like land and gold. Bitcoin on the other hand is a very good investment because it can skyrocket in a month but the risks is that this coin still is not reliable because of the improvements that they are doing in the system, for example like for what's coming in August 1.
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is useless or is it? on: July 12, 2017, 07:35:16 AM
Lol i can't believe i see someone who said bitcoin is useless, only because the transaction fee is high?
Bitcoin sure, is useful for me. It really help me to earn more money quite easily. And i don't really mind with the transaction fee because i rarely use bitcoin to buy something, i prefer keeping them.
Yes it's true that bitcoin is quite much about speculation, but what's for sure the price has been increasing until now, and it actually profitable to keep your bitcoin and sell that later.
If you complained about the fee, why not try to save your bitcoin like me? Or learn other way to use bitcoin that may give you even more money so you won't even complain about it anymore because you're rich already.

True I don't know if he is a trader or not because he is muttering about how useless the bitcoin industry is. Since bitcoin's price is going back and forth in these few years and at the end we ended up winning because bitcoin price is going up in the end. If we are talking about the fee then it might be higher than what we can afford but that's because this industry is still lacking on how they can charge fee to a particular transaction. There are so many projects that is being introduced to make this industry much more good than before, keep your feet in every waves coming.
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: July 11, 2017, 11:49:19 PM
BITCOIN is fight against centralized banks, printing machines, and corrupt politicians.

bitcoin is a revolution. It's a political statement. It's the best class of asset there will be for next few decades.

The question is are we really ready to take up the challenge?

Sometimes I think that what if our government banned cryptocurrencies, I wonder what will happen to my Bitcoin stock or should I take the risks to defy the laws and be an outlaw online just to earn? Well I hope that this won't happen to my country because this will bring up some pressures and conscience about what I'm doing.

Bitcoin for me is a tool for investing and getting as many dollars. I've tried every way to make a lot of money, I think bitcoin is the most effective way

It is the most effective way to us who have no work in real life, in some countries for example third world countries, income like this is very special because as we can see were just barely hanging on here and in order to make the ends meet we're doing every kind of job we think we can do.
459  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: July 11, 2017, 10:36:40 PM
Can you enlighten some of the users here of coins.ph about the unstable amount of fee you charge. 2 days ago, the high priority fee was only around 0.00012, today it was 0.0006, I don't know if the change took place today or yesterday but I am sure that the fee has changed significantly.

460  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: July 11, 2017, 03:04:34 PM
Absolutely, bitcoin provide income on life because of patience and determination. This really helps me in financial need for those uses bitcoin.

True. I'm just wonder why some people don't have the patience and courage to do that. What I mean here is that everyone need or want cash but too lazy to work. It's just so wrong to think that there is a easy money, people want to have cash instantly with no effort.

There are many ways we can use for earning bitcoin, you can find it in this forum, believe it is very much, ranging from mining, trading and more. If you want rich from bitcoin like rich friends from bitcoin, then do not be lazy and work hard

True but what we have here in the forum has a lot of limitations. For example in trading and mining you can acquire some tips but you really need to step up and learn how to code or to trade. Yup we can earn some in campaigns but if you really want something more or extra extra extra income you will learn new things and acquire every skills in order to do that particular work. Skills plus experience is money.
