121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Arbitrage Time for Cryptocurrency on: January 18, 2020, 02:20:40 AM
arbitraging these days is hard to be profitable due to exchange trade & withdraw fees, settlement times, volatility, and so on.

i especially dont think daily rebalancing of my "portfolio" with your bot and incurring more exchange fees will improve my position.

I appreciate you sharing! We performed a number of studies comparing rebalancing to hodling and we found some interesting results. I would encourage you to check them out and let me know what you think!

How Often to Rebalancing Your Crypto Portfolio

Happy to answer any questions about the study!

These results are unrealistic. you're basing performance exclusively on backtesting, which uses historical data instead of real-time trading data. The daily close price is much different that what actually went on intraday... Your data doesn't seem to include trading fees either... if rebalancing hourly was profitable, then we'd see the big funds like coinbase index fund or bloomberg crypto index doing similar.

Thank you for sharing! I would like to clarify a couple of things.

1. We do not use daily close price. We use actual order book data taken directly from the exchange. That means the open orders that were actually available on the exchange at the exact time we simulate the rebalance.
2. Yes, we absolutely include trading fees. This is discussed in the article.

Please let me know if you have any other questions! I'm more than happy to discuss the results in detail.

ya idk man, i was kinda interested (your a good wordsmith), but then i saw ye, it was a bot... hard to trust things with your keys man (i assume it would need spending keys :O )
i dont thihk you understand that crypto markets are NOT like traditional markets, old school traditional TA and bots are a quick way to go broke here in my experience
so im good thanks.   keep in mind posting " positive results" means nothing either really, as thats just crypto baby, shit pumps everyday 200% somewhere, buy anything low and wait, aint rocket science Tongue
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Features of a new Bitcoin? on: January 18, 2020, 01:31:03 AM
Hi All,

I love this community and what it stands for, so im wishing to start a new project similar to Bitcoin but with some differences. What kind of features would you like a new Coin to have? As this is a community project, i will try to pick whatever features and name you guys want, please let me know.

*edited*

dude honestly, the interesting features have all been done already, and most of them have 25 different coins doing the same thing even...
if you have technical bandwidth to lend, you should just consider adding your talent to BTC itself, as most of these features others coins have COULD be done on BTC
its just with BTC they dont 1/2 ass things like other coins, something will need to be tested as much as possible before core will add it
sadly most would rather start yet ANOTHER shitcoin, in hopes of getting rich : /      yuck
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum’s development model will pay off in 2020 on: January 17, 2020, 10:33:54 PM
all this speculation in the OP is just gobblegook Cheesy
the simple fact is the oldest game in play comes into effect once ETH goes PoS: supply and demand
they could go PoS TODAY and it would moon.   Is it because of all this "development?" i doubt it lol
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SLP Tokens vs ERC-20 Tokens on: January 17, 2020, 09:56:09 PM
Oh god, haha i wouldn't touch a BCH  token, imagine THAT drama when something goes wrong...
the 3 major people backing that shit are so full of themselves they would spend the first 3 hours blaming eachother, then the next 3 hours blaming the users...
I will always use ERC20 where its needed, other protocols are better for other things, i.e ERC-721
also: i dont tend to have much faith in "follower coins" they are just cashgrabs to me, imagine how desperate Ju is to create value, his company lost BILLIONS$ in the last year or two :O
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is WPP Project finally scam? 60 Million USD for nothing? on: January 17, 2020, 09:14:52 PM
WPP was a very good project in 2018, their ICO ran for a long time and it reached nearly the hard cap 60 Million USD! The ICO price was 0.01 USD, but look at now, it's 0.00015 USD with  648 USD volume! Seriously? They did nothing promising till today! Partnered with some unknown project, making some good picture of their product with huge value! Where they said WPP token will be worth more than 1 USD! But when you ask these things in their official Telegram group, you will surely get banned, that Troy guy will do it if you ever ask about updates!

Another great project turned into shit again! So, What do you think guys about this shit project?

well if they said it would be worth 1$, you KNOW it was a scam to BEGIN with? was it a stablecoin? Cheesy   how were they gonna guarantee that value?
ANYTIME a project makes promises like that you KNOW they are shady, crypto is way too many factors, and its a KNOWN RED FLAG to say that, as its a way to get investors that dont know better Sad
i really feel like the biggest scam prevention is people using their brains sometimes Sad reminds me of why the Canadian gov said they will never support BTC: "People are dumb"  (it lacks consumer protection)
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Europol Might Hinder Monero's Progress on: January 17, 2020, 02:52:04 PM
Not new to us, but for Monero bagholders, you need to think twice, just saying.

Quote
  • An Europol official recently found that Monero (XMR) transactions could not be traced between the sender and receiver.
  • Europol is said to be looking closely at anonymous coins, which was why officials were looking at Monero. In recent years, Europol has made efforts to reduce the usage of anonymous coins, including Bestmixer which was one of the most popular Bitcoin mixing services.
  • New legislation is expected to come in 2020 in the U.S. Congress which would push coin exchanges to record crypto assets’ transaction history and origins to cut down on the usage of cryptocurrencies for illegal activities.
  • Monero would not be able to comply with this. The German Finance Ministry also expressed concerns about the increase of Monero usage in November 2019.

https://cryptodaily.co.uk/2020/01/europol-might-hinder-monero-progress

I myself used to have Monero back then, but when exchanges started to delisted them, I have a hunch that authorities are going after privacy coins, which has been happening for the last couple of years now.

Anything they can do to keep control of our finances : /
They hate the idea of people being able to use their money how they want, they will do anything to keep that money coming to THEM Sad
luckily: its laughable, within the next 5 years (less probably), we will be setup p2p, and centralized exchanges (the main way they control us), will be obsolete
SO: this is one time they are to little too late and its a GOOD thing
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: January end , can BTCtouch 9k? on: January 17, 2020, 04:20:34 AM
as we see trend in last 2-3 days, all markets were positive, prices increased from 10%-300% in 48 hours.
Now the trend is going down. what you guys think? January end BTC can touch 9k usd?

uhh, idk man haha, i think we might see some profit-taking now, but time will tell
alot of the pumps were from smallcap or scam coins, so i dont really trust them as meaning much, SV for example
i actually thought it would be closer to the 1/2ing before the price started to climb, but i wont complain! Smiley
also: this board is TECHNICALLY for speculation on ALTS, notBTC, you should prob move it to be proper Tongue
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will poc hard disk mining become popular in 2020? filecoin become huge? on: January 16, 2020, 11:29:21 PM
I want to invest in filecoin, what is the probability of 100X?

The Chinese make a lot of hard disk mining coins, such as bhd fst lamb
What's future for these coins?

probability of 100x is literally 0.01% imo , PoC coins are super gamed out man, not to mention the idea itself is a scam, regular users can NEVER compete with big datacenters
on one side you have the Chinese/russian/in general cloud infrastructure scammers, these guys have TBs of space they pay ZERO for
on another side you have dudes that run DCs, with also TBs of space they pay very little for as they already run a DC
then you have users speculating with TBs of space.  Theres so much invested in HDD space, massive bags waiting for a 10x even : /   lol
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fun Facts About Void Token: Tron First Deflationary Token on: January 16, 2020, 10:09:45 PM
Void is the world's first-ever currency built on Tron network

one token was way beyond 12 trx before the previous owner faced technical issues.

Technical issues got fixed within a week of new ownership.
Got our first dapp within a week and the second dapp Will be launched before 10th of February.

Void will easily cross 😛 trx soon

Void is the official partner of Boss Gaming.

Void is back alive...
Our giveaway will happen when it's few days to our new dapp release ...

Website: https://voiddefi.io/
Twitter: www.twitter.com/TrxVoid
Telegram: www.t.me/voidtoken

I like the IDEA of deflationary tokens, but like anything in crypto, i feel like they got overhyped and too many of them came too fast
Do we NEED yet ANOTHER token that features "dapps?" theres literally 500 tokens and 500 coins that are "dapp platforms"
The idea should be left with the big bois, if these tokens on Tron got even HALF the tx volume ETH does TRX would be RIP and never recover lol
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV Drama on: January 16, 2020, 09:15:13 PM
When you go to a cinema to watch movie, it will have a start and an end. The same is what is presently happening to the present display of BSV in the crypto market.
All of a sudden, it pumped to high and all of a sudden, like a drama, it will **** so low.
Do not be surprised that this will also be like a drama that has a start and will have an end.
I just pity those who will fall for it.
It's just a mere hype.

Be careful, this is year 2020, we ought to be wiser.

True!
Although, for the ones who DO trade in this scene, thats their life bread, massive volatility!
Personally, tho im mainly a miner, i do like to TRY and grow my coins with some smart trading, but i wont touch SV (or any of those fukcoins)
I dont like the idea of providing maker or taker for them, i dont want to be involved anyway more then i have to with those fucking coins haha
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why High Ranked People promoting P2PB2B IEO Bounties? on: January 16, 2020, 03:48:31 PM
I was inactive for a while in BTT, but was very active in telegram and doing ambassador staffs. I was checking altcoins section's various threads and found huge negativity on P2PB2B exchange and it's all IEO!

P2PB2B exchange's IEO launchpad is enough to ruin a project, 98% of its IEO is dead, scammed bounty hunters and no payments at all. But still, some new projects are coming and choosing this shit exchange to sell their token!
That's mean those projects will be ruined, they don't care about investors, nor the community, history says it!

My question is, after so much truth against P2PB2B exchange, why you guys Full, SR, Hero members are promoting their IEO bounties? Why you are helping those scammers, thieves, without getting a penny?

Please leave your opinion/reasons!

damn, i have been really leary about these new exchanges, and now people see why Sad
that sux to hear, but all you can do is let people know man, im sure people were promoting it just cause they didnt know (or dont care)
A thread like this goes a long way tho, i know ill be making sure to let people know to stay away from them now!
tbh tho, it was obvious these IEOS were 95% ALL scams, no?  the vets here warned people over a year ago of that....
but like Satoshi said "if you dont believe me or dont understand...."
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BSV a bubble ? on: January 16, 2020, 05:57:01 AM
BSV recently seen growth of more than 100% in one day
but not have enough liquidity.
many exchanges already delisted long time ago,
Is there any future of BSV?

No future, str8 manipulation, look at the liquidity yupp, shits broken lol
The major super fuckers behind it, they have alot of $$$, they can pump this shit up, let the buys orders accumulate at " the new bottom", then dump the shit out of it
dont catch the falling knife!
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Government Cryptocurrency on: January 16, 2020, 12:34:52 AM
China is planning to launch their crypto currency, with attention to distribution and adoption, since they are involving all four major banks in the country, two major e-commerce websites Alibaba and Tencent and UnionPay as online payment provider for all four state banks involved in the project

crypto will be centralized and controlled by the state, but high level of acceptance shall be expected

plan is to launch it no later than 2020, november 11, according to latest news, will be interesting how this is going to influence crypto markets this year

This i think will be good news, i can see alot of countries waiting for SOMEONE to do this first so they can follow
i wonder: would it have a public chain/explorer? that would be SO cool, but i doubt it haha
It always made sense to me that a national currency would work well on a chain, i mean we are moving towards a cashless society anyways it seems so why not?
if China is all in, 2020 should be good for BTC price wise!   it will be interesting to see with their technical bandwidth available what a COUNTRY can do with this tech :O
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH, BSV more profitable than Ethereum? on: January 15, 2020, 11:25:46 PM
I don't know what happened with the Ethereum, why this coin's price is not growing that much? Without Bitcoin pumping, Ethereum can't grow a bit. Where BCH or even BSV price keeps pumping like the bull run! Now, 1 BSV coin's price is more than double of 1 Ethereum. I am a holder of Etherem, but day by day I am being frustrated by holding it, it's price is far lower than 200 USD! Unbelievable. What do you think guys? Should I convert my ETH into BSV or BCH for more profit?

More profit?  well isnt the pump-up done now tho?  if you were to convert NOW, idk man, seems like BSV's pump will be over soon, could be a falling knife...
its a sketchy coin, one is better off to just hodl strong with their ETH man, its a guaranteed win, just a matter of WHEN Roll Eyes
park it on blockfi or something for a few months Tongue earn some easy interest while you hodl
imo, ETH is just pushed down by miners+ICO teams that collected ALOT of it, i.e EOS has like millions of ETH IIRC :/
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Solution Developer “PundiX” completes Token Burn of 1.2 Billion NPXS on: January 15, 2020, 10:44:54 PM
Blockchain Solution Developer “PundiX” completes Token Burn of 1.2 Billion NPXS Tokens
- 1.2B NPXS, worth approximately $150,000 USD
- Token burn intended to maintain token value over time

https://xangle.io/project/home/NPXS/dashboard?link=wmPKwj

[Jan 14th, 2020] According to crypto disclosure platform Xangle, the Indonesia-based payment platform “PundiX” has completed its 1,201,128,531 (1.2 Billion) NPXS token burn, worth approximately $150K USD, intended to keep its token value above a certain level.

Based on PundiX’s on-chain token records, PundiX issued a total of 179,333,710,156 NPXS in 2018, over 3 phases. Worth $188,685,989 at it’s prime, the value has now settled at $22.749,272. Starting from August 2018, they burned 22,155,614,698 NPXS across 6 phases, around 12% of their total volume.

PundiX is using its revenue to burn tokens. An official from PundiX mentioned in an interview with Xangle that PundiX is burning tokens through revenue made from blockchain-based payment terminal (XPOS) sales and transaction fees, and that once the tokens are burned, they are not distributed back into the market.

In an interview with Xangle, PudiX Founder Zac Cheah revealed that their main priority this year will be to find opportunities in developing countries like Africa or South America, to increase cryptocurrency adoption across the countries.

I used to be really leary on PundiX back in the day, but they seem to still be alive nowadays even thru all their ups and downs
i hope to see them lead the space for Indonesia in crypto, i am always a fan of a project that has a good token burn, imo its a good way to show your not greedy and also help long term value of your token
Good Luck to PundiX in 2020!
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ONE (Harmony) good to invest on: January 15, 2020, 09:38:39 PM
hi guys what do u think about ONE (Harmony) good to invest ?
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/harmony/
do u think it can hit 500 sat like MATIC ?  Grin

i am always weary or these low value coins, why are they so low? did the team just sell as many coins as possible? did they fuk up the distro somehow?
a coin worth close to DOGE is sketchy long term imo...
of course it also can make them more volatile price wise, so if thats your thing maybe its perfect for you haha
So ya, i would say no way to hit 500 sats imo, especially if 10% staking on binance, thats easy money all day for whales
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Exchanges on: January 15, 2020, 02:10:29 AM
Many people are thinking about monero having more security for reason some. so here is a exchange list for it:
ICE3X Exchange (https://ice3x.com/)
Poloniex (http://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_xmr)
HitBTC (http://hitbtc.com/)
Bittrex (http://bittrex.com/)
LocalMonero (https://localmonero.co/)
Shapeshift (http://shapeshift.io/)
Changelly (https://changelly.com/)
Evonax (http://www.evonax.com/)
Coindirect (https://www.coindirect.com/buy/monero)
Anycoin Direct (https://anycoindirect.eu/)
(Note: Exchanges provide highly varying degrees of safety, security, privacy, and control over your funds and information. Perform your own due diligence and choose a wallet where you will keep your monero before selecting an exchange.)

crazy that i havent heard of 1/2 those exchanges.  I knew alot of new ones had opened in 2019 but damn haha
sux shapeshift added accounts and KYC, they were the fucking shit when i started in crypto... Changelly i am scared of, i have heard bad things :/
i dont use monero personally, but thx for the list, none the less some new crypto sites to bookmark and see if i need them one day Tongue
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Significance of Binance donation for Australian Bushfire on: January 15, 2020, 01:09:49 AM
Australian Bushfire is no news and truly the 2019-2020 bushfire has been the most disastrous to the country, losing animals, humans, buildings etc. Binance donated a sum of $1 million in BNB to this effect as charity. This can be seen from CZ's recent tweet 🔗 https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1214760723013783553?s=19

The point is that crypto has been used for many criminal activities including ransom paid to kidnappers. This kind gesture by Binance goes a long way to show crypto can be very beneficial to mankind, not only used in detrimental aspects.

Guys, if there are other recent cool stuff crypto has been used for, please drop here. Thanks

Maybe a bit misleading in wording, but a donation is a donation Cheesy  good for him! i mostly like CZ, and this only adds to that
its interesting he gave BnB, i wonder who he gave it too, the Aussie gov? dosent really say on the page, im just curious, picturing the government here opening an account at Binance to sell this BnB lol
either way, good exposure for Binance and Crypto in general! Smiley 2020 looking bright Gentlemen
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currency Future in Pakistan on: January 15, 2020, 12:10:39 AM
Earlier in 2019 State Bank of Pakistan announced that bitcoin and other virtual currencies/tokens/ coins are banned in Pakistan. For organizations and institutions it is banned by State Bank of Pakistan. Bank will not get involved if there is any dispute. They will not facilitate any transaction for it.

Late in 2019, Prime Minister Pakistan started a new program "Digital Pakistan". Highly Qualified and well known team members are chosen from all over the world. PM will directly monitor this program, Head of this program is Ms. Tania Aidrus. During her address, said that she is quite aware of the financial troubles faced by Pakistan’s freelancers as Crypto Currency / PayPal is unavailable.

on another occasion Tania Aidrus has promised to bring PayPal and cryptocurrency in Pakistan. While speaking at an interactive session with the top entrepreneurs in Pakistan at the Usman Institute of Technology (UIT) she made these remarks.

with this hope that 2020 and the Digital Pakistan team will bring back crypto currency / paypal in pakistan.

its sux they are so controlling, imagine how many in their country could have been helped if they would have let people buy in early :O
now they sound like they are back tracking...   too late sadly, as BTC is too expensive for most of their citizens now and the scene is too competitive : /
thats sad really to hear they banned even paypal Sad

140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bitbox to delist Ripple on: January 14, 2020, 11:02:57 PM
i wonder if this has anything to do with the other drama of coins being dislisted, XMR and them
i THOUGHT it was because XMR and others were privacy coins that that drama was over tho....
XRP rubs many the wrong way, maybe the exchange just had a disagreement with the developers, exchange owners are pretty demandy about coins sometimes too, hmmm...
