Wow, shiny internet points! I wonder what you can do with them all...

I leave if you take a candle and slip it into your butthole and post a photo here.

Here's your photo.

Leave, please.
163  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Spammer Blacklist] The Shitlist on: July 22, 2021, 06:58:39 PM
The haste at which several of my posts were deleted in one day was glaring that the posts were never read. But after opening that thread I discovered that those who did what they did were not going to apologize. I moved on. I do not know why @actmyname feels that his standard is the standard everyone should stick to or adopt.
Do not project your indignity upon others. I have already stated previously: these posts are reported to moderators which make final call. Considering I primarily report particularly bad-quality posters in the altcoin sections, this leads to a high volume of post deletion.

Something I still don't understand is why you assume the posts are deleted at the same time that the messages reach your inbox: what is the probability that moderators will simply accept all reports of mine as "good" without having read the content? If you are assuming that moderators are simply blindly deleting posts, then I would direct you toward the breakdown of stats:

82572 good, 1382 bad, 7452 unhandled

-- meaning, at least 10% of posts were left alone, which would be strange if they simply didn't give a shit.
Get over yourself. You're responding to a 3 month-old reply, and for what?

Don't be mad at me if anyone could have reported your posts instead and had the exact same result.
164  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Spammer Blacklist] The Shitlist on: July 19, 2021, 02:50:50 PM
I agree some of them can leave accurate feedback but actmyname mentioned above the list: "The following users have 50+ good reports against them"

If they have 50+ good reports to show they are trolls, part of an account farm or signature spammers then I do not trust them. I tried adding them to my ignore list but that page does not open and I think ignoring them one by one with clicks is out of the question because of the time it would take.

Thank you actmyname, I have added the whole of your list to my distrust list.
Why?
Having posts deleted doesn't mean some of them can't leave accurate feedback. I'd say your Ignore list is a better place if you believe their posts aren't worth reading.
I would heavily weigh neutral feedback against the user's post volume in general and their quality after the fact. Most of the users were among the worst of the spammers, having posted consecutive pages worth of one-liners or generic responses. However, anything that is light enough for neutral feedback should not be juxtaposed with a distrust. I don't distrust judgment due to poor post quality - we have done business across languages for centuries - therefore the neutral feedback is sufficient.

Moreover, distrusting a highly active spammer is not likely to have any tangible effects: what percentage of these users participate in enough trades for a distrust to make a difference? Unlike a negative feedback (which is harsher than distrust and should certainly not be used here) which has a visual indicator, a user would have simply no idea that you distrusted them unless they investigated.

I would always hesitate in the elevation of punishment against others. It is a case of what is necessary: why increase restitution in the case of no change?
165  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrogenpoker Collusion & Soft Play what to do ? on: July 16, 2021, 05:27:40 PM
Complacency. Roll Eyes
I'm not sure if they actively seek out colluders on the poker site, but it has been a problem for years.
166  Other / Meta / Re: Do You Believe a New Forum Software Will Attract More Users to Bitcointalk? on: July 16, 2021, 05:10:27 PM
It's an easy no for me; or at least, the effect would be quite minuscule.

Why? Simply because the mass majority are just so used to consuming short-form content(e.g. most of Reddit and Twitter) and the usage of mobile apps that it's unlikely that the mass majority are going to go back to sort of "legacy" communities(like forums).

..and that's a good thing. The last thing we want is more nonsense moonboys here; and a lot more of those people that are technical and are genuinely interested in Bitcoin.
Ah, just wait for the next mass bounty cycle. If the forum traffic was able to spike to such highs in hundreds of low-quality bounty threads, just imagine what would happen if the UI was updated to modern standards and if UX was improved so bounty hunters could shitpost with ease.
167  Other / Meta / Re: When is the right time to lock a topic? on: July 16, 2021, 04:58:35 PM
Almost all threads would be of a higher quality if they were locked after the fourth page.

Outside of extensive technical discussion, how long does a topic need to stretch before you've sufficiently exhausted the scope of questions and answers? Any deeper discussion deserves its own thread and most thread-extending replies are either redundant, generic, or unrelated to the discussion.
168  Other / Meta / Re: Have you noticed many newbies/junior members opening threads lately? on: July 16, 2021, 04:52:15 PM
It's almost as if they don't really want to discuss whatever the topic of their thread is; they just want to try their luck at getting merits.
If you were an account farmer and you were sorely missing a series of easy replies to something you've milked, how easy would it be to simply create an account or access a low-activity account, and create a thread to fulfill that purpose of being a megathread?

Some users simply continue the cycle of low-effort posts.
169  Other / Meta / Re: Where's the new forum Theymos? on: July 14, 2021, 08:09:09 AM
I get what you mean, but it's kind of the fact that it was promised it was coming very soon multiple times, and it still hasn't come.
"Soon" is a replacement for "in the future". Whether that future takes place before my grandchildren are born, that's up to the gods.
170  Economy / Goods / Re: Behind the most wanted crypto artwork: The Bitcoin Trophy on: June 23, 2021, 03:10:00 AM
Any chance the cup comes with an alternate Bitcoin design that doesn't look like a piece of shit?

This one isn't as well-known as your current one, but I'm sure people will still recognize it:

171  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: sportsbet.io BIG SCAMM on: June 02, 2021, 11:08:27 PM
i think they made some two accounts and took username and said that i used in past.
Multi accounting then yeah. It’s against their T&C’s, nice to see you admit to your breach of T&C’s there.
Any particular reason why you won’t show proof of alleged conversations with SB? Do they paint you in a bad light?
At this point all anybody can see is an angry moron who got caught out multi-accounting.

Lock this thread, you’re embarrassing yourself.
Well, assuming honesty (generous), a nefarious casino very well could use such a campaign as the source of the account names/logs is funneled through the casino - data only they have access to in any individual case (assuming it is confined to forum replies).

You effectively have to take someone's word at face value during these situations.
Of course, all of that is undermined by the fact that the user refuses to provide any direct evidence of malice.
172  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: sportsbet.io BIG SCAMM on: June 02, 2021, 06:39:13 PM
SPORTSBET.IO SHILL ACCOUNT
OTHER!!!! NOT TRIBE MEMBER!

173  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: sportsbet.io BIG SCAMM on: June 02, 2021, 04:40:58 PM
which proof?
I need made 20 screenshots of emails which i sent to them.
second, i need made screenshot of private message with Steve who ignore my messages from yesterday
I need made video of acc that i cant place bet and withdraw money. they frozen acc.
I dont understand why a few guys speak good things for sportsbet.io , when all other people marked sportsbet.io BIG SCAMM.

Lets you go on sportsbet.io and betting, than you will see what they will do with your money.
than you will come here and say " you are all right"
Even being generous, comparing a casino entity to a user account as if they had the same impact...

... it would still be absolutely devastating to simply accept one's claims as true based purely on their statement.
174  Economy / Reputation / Re: The AdkinsBET Army of Alts on: June 01, 2021, 04:52:38 PM
I'm wondering how long the 1xbet signature campaign will last when all of their participants have a negative rating. This is an experience for them I believe, and if it will be successful, then other gambling sites with bad reputations might follow the system of 1xbit.

They are now live in their first week, some campaigns have a trial for at least 1 month.
One wonders why it wouldn't be conducive in this free-for-all environment to simply start up a new gambling site every week (or even day) to post a thread on the forum, put out some signature campaign*, and continually exit scam gamblers^ on account of the lack of prerequisites to freely advertise on this site. Alongside how alt accounts of rulebreakers are effectively unpunished until found by forum members (if even that, given time delays and manual checks) and how long members persist and have presence despite negative feedback/reputation... we're living in a time of blissful ignorance.

Plus, no one who comes upon a new thread in the gambling section (guest or not) will receive any warning about established/unestablished sites. Best you have is viewing the yellow flag as a guest (i.e. 1xbit) though I would expect it to be displayed in a more pronounced manner. If you expect guests to have no idea about the forum dynamics, what's to say they haven't simply skimmed past the yellow flag as a rare occurrence?

As it currently stands, the post-hoc deterrence of flags seems like a roundabout prevention mechanism especially without any limit to account, thread, post, or scam creation. Oh well: we can keep tagging people who scam for a few hundred bucks. Smiley

* optional exit scam for greater profit efficiency
^ also collect free KYC to scam even more
175  Economy / Reputation / Re: The AdkinsBET Army of Alts on: May 31, 2021, 04:57:27 PM
gadado and M16 have been active more recently, and both are now sporting a spiffy new web cam/sex site ad in their signature (jangacams).
Isn't that against the rules?
10. No embedded NSFW images anywhere. NSFW content must be marked accordingly.
If we talking only about signature space, I guess the rule is not violated here. they only have links to adult websites and have not posted NSFW images here I haven't checked their post history. Two different things.
As I remember, this is not the first time that someone advertises NSFW websites here and as far as I know, it was not considered a violation of the rules nor were there any sanctions for it.
But maybe I am wrong.
Putting the cart before the horse there. A signature, which effectively turns all your posts (past, present, and future) into advertisements is somehow more acceptable than a singular post with the same content.

Hmm....
176  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a way to get notified when I log in if someone quotes me in a thread? on: May 18, 2021, 11:36:34 PM
It is important to me so that I can read the reply to me someone took the time to write.
As an alternative solution, you can use your name as a keyword enclosed within quotes (i.e. "Zoe Saldana") as a search query to return the most recent post from each unique thread.
177  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why all these fake conversations? on: May 18, 2021, 11:34:18 PM
Latching onto <> conclusions of causality without positing alternative origins <> results in restrictive thinking
Has no effect <> impact <> globally-if the member who installed sig has >< insights >< no_nonsense_paid / per week = 99% sig paid <> professional.
Consider it an exercise of imagination, or of free thinking: your ability to consider alternatives should theoretically expand your prospective options. ≥0

basic foundation <> framework <> thinking <> scientifically <is the notion of perspective> the foundation for thinking to develop studies> is too naive to say> has certain reasons for that, proposition-law-maybe-the next period of new discovery-will lead to a new research framework=reception.
New discoveries are more likely to be discovered if you look for them. That's why infallibility is something to avoid in your conclusions. Wink

Score! Another +$6 that I gain. This post was created solely for this signature campaign, nothing more. Only my financial benefit matters, for I am concentrated on signature campaigns!
178  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a way to get notified when I log in if someone quotes me in a thread? on: May 18, 2021, 07:12:09 PM
Now that I think about it, how would the native notifications work? I mean, if you are away from your computer with just your phone or smart watch, how would you know when someone is talking to you? Maybe through email? Otherwise, you would probably still need to visit the forum to find out where you've been mentioned, which isn't ideal for me.
Feasible forum-based solution if theymos did not rate-limit a superuser account: to search through new posts for [quote author=$user] tags or for notification-registered usernames and to PM them. Since you can output your Bitcointalk PMs into your account email, you can use this as an IoT solution to extend further.

If he wanted to simply incorporate it into the accounts without such a proxy via an actual implementation, you could have a list that looks similarly to the merit history page.
179  Other / Meta / Re: Don't you think some people in the forum are giving too much importance to Elon? on: May 18, 2021, 07:06:21 PM
Twitter users aren't known for their independent thinking Tongue There are just too many of them to stop feeding trolls.
And don't forget - oh no ! - that every day, more people are born to become future troll caretakers! The cycle never ends: such is the fate of prey, for humans are merely the vessels of attention to be feasted upon by the trolls.

I wish it was as easy as, "if the data or conclusion do not fit the hypothesis, reject the data and conclusion until hypothesis is proven."
Though, I think things would operate very differently if it was indeed so.
