Would you be willing to put the Coin Swap idea to a vote, let the community decide?
sure, i can use all the feedback i can get. its not something thats going to happen anytime soon though (the swap), still need to work out some details. ive added a poll to this thread Thanks - looks like it might be a close decision! 3:4 atm. One of the things I like about this coin is having a dev who positively engages with the community. I honestly think having a working shop that allows people to use 1337 to buy games is the more important issue right now (but then I may be slightly biased ). I know you said you're working on it, hope that side of things is progressing. it looks like i might need to run the payment processing myself. i found something that i could use here http://www.programmableweb.com/api/litepayLitePay-App is a web payment service that handles payment for merchants utilizing litecoins. The service takes orders, issues a litecoin pay address to the customer to use, and confirms payment to the merchant. The Litepay-App API allows users to request a litecoin address and confirm a payment. The service uses REST calls, returns JSON, and uses Access Tokens for authentication. i couldnt find any source files so ive emailed the address that was listed. maybe some of you can help me find something similar?

i'm still worrying about coins remained on c-cex, imho all customers' funds should be withdrawn from there completely.
i agree with you 100%. do you have any suggestions? some people were able to withdraw some coins last time till ccex's wallet forked again after a day. connect=<seednode/trustednode> listen=0 reservebalance=<insane value> and let ppl withdraw at least any further bs about forking will look ridiculous of course it's better to run several trusted nodes for this, and keep an eye on the network during that phase theres a cap on the reservebalance of 99999999 but presstab said it would be sufficient to replace that line with staking=0 ccex has been notified about this a few weeks ago but maybe they 'forgot' to add it

esp coin made a swap like this, market price for that coin didnt changed much yet and i think it will remain the same.
so who knows what will happen to 1337.
anyway i like the coin as it is even if the value is 1 satoshi, people still buying it.
imho, some ppl got too greedy when btc was going up recently and totally crushed any buy support that was left and even placed sell orders of ~1 BTC at 1 satoshi. even when the first one got bought out, there was another 1 btc sell order just 30 mins later. not to mention the 5 btc sell order at 2 sats on yobit... development costs money. i didnt have to ask anyone for anything because i have a substantial amount of 1337 to finance this. if i cant sell my coins, i cant pay for anything either. so as it is now, i simply cant do much. and of course the other people that are staking 1337 would like to be able to sell their stakes too sometimes... this thread has 40 pages now but anyone that has been following 1337 a bit knows that im actually paying attention to what the community wants or suggests. People said the APR was too high and ive lowered it not once but twice already. Community wanted some extra features and (apart from the clearorphans command) i managed to find the right persons for the job and now we have a very '1337' looking and working wallet if i may say so myself. but 1337 is not just about hi-pos or fancy wallets, im actively trying to build services around the coin to give it a purpose. one of them is pretty much impossible atm now, stake2play. like i said before, the payment processor cant convert the price in the webshop from $ to 1337 now. and i wont be able to buy new games or other stuff to sell if i cant sell my coins. the other project... well lets just say that im glad i hadnt announced it yet because that would have been quite embarrassing but yeah, that also depends on 1337 having liquidity.

i think that if wallet is fixed for overload of balance which can be seen on blackjackcoin, there is no real reason to swaping coins... there is still 1337/ltc market which is starting to filling with buy orders... just to ask yobit to add this market too...
who knows, maybe the price of 1337 will go up or will have less resistance after the swap. like i said, people can make their own choice but all 1337 that got swapped will be burned so the actual total supply of 1337 will decrease too. also, the pressure on the sell side will most likely become less too. as for ccex, i'll be honest to say that i feel offended by the approach of ccex in this thread, trying to make me look as a dev who refuses to work with them to get this issue solved and them trying to play the victim and asking the help of the community . nothing is further from the truth than this crap, ive been trying to get this issue fixed since it started to arise with very little info provided by ccex. after 2 months he finally tells me what his OS is, when i asked him if it could be OS related the answer was (and still is) 'no, you need to fix code' also, im not the only dev who has issues with them as you can read here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1532394.0

What has happened to staketoplay.com ? Can we buy those things at the checkout for 1337 or not ? Also the staketoplay thread is dead. Please help thank you. I want some places where I can spend my 1337 at.
good question. apparently the plugin that im using is linked to yobits market and when theres no buy order it cant convert from USD to 1337 but hey, at least we have a cool looking wallet and i hired one of the best POS devs to add some nice features to it. too bad its nearly dead now... im working on something to resurrect 1337 again. its not a very popular 'method' and its something that has been abused by some other devs in the past but i see it as a last option. yes, im talking about the dreaded coinswap. people will get to choose whether to stay on the current wallet or swap them with the new coin. 1337 that gets swapped will first be collected in a designated deposit address and after that it will be sent to our burn address. ive been thinking of a swap ratio of 100:1 i will also make sure that everything is as transparent as possible but also anonymous. i dont need to know who owns how many coins etc so it will either take place on an exchange, or in case i have to do it manually i will setup something temporary where we can communicate. maybe a slack?

It forked again Our current sync: "blocks":483867 blockhash for 483867: 68eeb808b5f47f0d385c1192fc1cd972fb03d74b567bf2b6d08e9b769cf11d5a but http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/1337/block.php?height=483867This is 5th time when we place blockchain files and wallet goes in fork after that. Just to notice - it turned to be impossible to sync wallet daemon on linux debian x64 nor from scratch nor using blockchain files. Wallet disabled. We will wait for 2 weeks and then we remove wallet from exchange if developer will not bring solution. Not at all impossible, I'm running the wallet daemon on 64-bit debian without any issues.. Have you tried disabling staking? It might just work.. dont waste the space youre typing on. ive been telling this ccex guy that the problem is on his end ever since july but he still wants me to 'fix' my coin and keeps stating that its broken or blockchain is broken... and now he claims i refused to fix something thats not broken... lol i wonder where he found a copy of the blockchain to give it another try on ccex, he didnt get it from me. some exchange that is, anyone can upload stuff for them to fix their wallet. security must be TOP NOTCH over there... this whole mess started when ccex 'accidentally' staked their users coins and after i contacted him about this he asked what the problem was... LOL. but anyways, since ccex seems incapable of fixing their problem i would like to suggest to them to find more competent people to work for them. looks like a one-man-show over there btw so yeah that makes it even more sad. or maybe try contacting yobit and cryptopia? its seems they were kind enough to fix my broken coin for me... or else it wouldnt be working on those exchanges, right ccex?

yobits wallet is back online. ive tested a deposit and withdrawal and both went through fine. i think i'll have to add a checkpoint server as a last resort to fix the problem with ccex. their wallet gets stuck while trying to synch from scratch and i have no idea why. so i will upload my copy of the data folder for ccex and add a checkpoint server to the source and have the wallet compiled again. this should most likely be ready after the weekend.
as for yobit staking the coins, i cant confirm that. they didnt stake my coins, you can lookup your yobit deposit address in the blockexplorer to make sure.
Thanks dev, I was now able to withdraw my 1337 coins and now I can start staking them. Yeah it looks as though Yobit isn't staking 1337 coins as i also checked my Yobit address and no staking but I wonder why it has taken them this long to fix the issue? Anyway as long as we are back in action with Yobit and now we just need C-cex fixed and we are 100% working on all exchanges again. im not 100% sure what caused the delay on yobit but i noticed that the wallet showed online with the correct amount of blocks when i clicked on withdraw in the wallet section so i contacted a mod to ask why deposits and withdraws were still disabled. he passed that along to an admin and they said they had to restart it twice already because they thought they were on a fork. maybe they were looking at the old blockexplorer so i told them that the amount of blocks was correct and i didnt think that they were on a fork and passed them a link to the new blockexplorer. 5 mins later the wallet was back online

My node is pretty much permanent, but I also only got 3 connections atm.
i tried compiling it on my ubuntu vps to run a dedicated node but got this error: any suggestions how to fix that? im very new with linux so maybe im missing something simple Just a blind shot into the dark: Not enough RAM in your VPS, could that possibly be a reason? How much RAM does that VPS offer? RAM: 1024 MB. should be enough right? i could compile another wallet without problems Also, i see we're listed at https://novaexchange.com/market/BTC_SBC/ but could use some market makers

when will the wallets on exchanges ? who knows ?
im expecting yobits wallet to be out of maintenance in the next day or two. the admins arent active during the weekends but i'll try to find out more tomorrow. c-cex's wallet got stuck and they need to do a clean install. hopefully they will do that soon. update: On the 1st of September i would like to start with the monthly raffle for a triple AAA game. The first game will most likely be Battlefield 1 but im always open to suggestions. what would be a good price for the raffle tickets? ive switched over the stake2play.com webshop from wordpress to opencart and made a fresh start with that project because the web dev i hired to fix things wasnt competent enough apparently. now ive found out that the opencart plugin of our payment provider cointopay needs some modification and im waiting for a reply from them. would be nice if something would work 'out of the box' for a change...but once thats done i can start with adding items to the webshop. more updates coming soon

My new wallet don't sync -_-
network looks fine, my node is running. maybe a firewall or anti-virus software blocking connections?

Is staking going to be affected by this fork and wallet update? I know the reward dropped in half, but other than that? I noticed the network weight has dropped substantially over the past 24 hours does that affect it?
network weight dropped because older versions of the wallet are being rejected by the new wallet. so anyone that didnt update their wallets are currently on the older blockchain and their weight doesnt add to the network weight anymore

the halving of the APR is a fact now

thanks for the kind words. its been tough the last few weeks but im still working on this almost 7 days a week. as you can see c-cex is synching up their new wallet and i really hope that issue will be solved very soon. if their wallet still forks ill hire a consultant to fix this for them because 1337 has to move on and the c-cex issue is slowing it down.
I deposited in the CEX site 26000 k COINS, but they are not going to give it to me. there are over 1 billion coins stuck on c-cex. that is why i am trying everything possible to get it fixed.
