made some changes to the bounties, removed the block explorer bounty and added a bounty for a custom signature.

Buona fortuna.

Good to know that we are going to have a channel in the freenode IRC, anyway remember when you talked about the minecraft server in the OP? Maybe this other thread of a minecraft server which is even a bitcoin faucet can give you some kind of idea and/or maybe you could ask the server owner to help you with making your own for 1337

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1216786.0 <---- The minecraft server which have the bitcoin faucet inside

hey there, nice find. thanks for pointing that out. i will contact him and post here when i have an update.

Explorer going down in a day or 2 guys.. Sorry...

you didn't noticed that the new dev is giving a bounty about the blockexplorer? i find it a bit strange...

100K bounty guys.. lol.. not so strange... I can't keep things online on my servers for a bounty that MIGHT be worth something in the future.. I've been doing that for a long time, and it only costs me money..

100k "1337" - it for what period of time "hosting for blockexplorer" ?

or I incorrectly understood you

Not sure what you mean with that.. Let me explain please.. hosting a blockexplorer on a decent vps costs money.. each month.. 100K 1337 does not cover vps hosting costs. Unfortunately I can't risk hoping for the price to rise to cover the explorer costs.. I've been butthurt to many time in the past hoping on that on all sorts of coins... I hope you all understand that..

But I came to an agreement with the dev, and hosting will last 3 months longer.. After that period I will lend a hand if needed to get you guys going without 3rd party explorers.. Wink

Like always great hand from banzai.

Yes, he's been very helpful. Thnx again Banzai.

We need more communication, and the moon

Im currently setting up a channel on freenode IRC which should have some fun games and tipping etc. Im not very active on social media but i'll create a twitter account so people can keep track of updates. as for moon, we hit 10 sat on yobit earlier today, thats a great rise from yesterday ;-)

If you take care of a vps, I will install the iquidus explorer for free on that if you want.. With a quick howto guide.. Don't get me wrong please.. I'm not a bad guy.. It just wouldnt make sense for me to keep the hosting up, paying from my own pocket you know.. Already done that since launch..

very kind of you. thats what crypto is all about, helping each other when needed! i would appreciate it if you could help me out with that, will contact you soon. in the meantime i will contact you to extend the blockexplorer with 3 months. that will give us plenty of time to get our own server ready to host it.

to the 1337 community: i'm paying for this out of my own pocket for now. im not selling my 1337, especially not now that the price is climbing slow but steady on yobit. im hoping that 1337 will become self-sustainable in the future when more people get interested and involved with 1337. so far its going good without too many promoting (hardly any besides some giveaways tbh) and i believe that there is a bright future ahead of us once we start working on things as a community.

Stablecoin is also listed on https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/, unlike other coins which were only listed on Cryptsy that will have now a truely hard time to survive.

Looks like Stablecoin is officially dead with the demise of Cryptsy.  Bet the people running Cryptsy will profit nicely.  Typical MO, exchange was hacked, large amount BTC and LTC stolen, then exchange disappears, very convenient.

Cryptocurrency is a joke with most trades for pennies or less.

Also, with one of the lead devs for BTC leaving because the transaction time is in terms of hours.  Not very practical for eCommerce.  BTC will be valueless, soon.

yes its sad news about cryptsy, came as a big shock to most of the regular traders on there. as you may have noticed, all orders and wd's have been cancelled on cryptsy. ive been in contact with JShock the last 2 days and he's working on a solution for us to get at least our altcoins out of cryptsy. i'll post here if i have any updates on that.

as most of you probaly already noticed, cryptsy turned on the withdrawals for altcoins. theyre doing this in alphabetical order and its most likely that we can all withdraw our SBC and some other alts in a day or 2. check https://www.cryptsy.com/pages/status to see if its back online.

you didn't noticed that the new dev is giving a bounty about the blockexplorer? i find it a bit strange...

Banzai told me that he put up the blockexplorer as a favor to Tilkoeln and only received a small bounty for that. i asked him to make me an offer to extend the use of his blockexplorer.

I asked around for some other prices and so far they seem to start around 0.03 BTC/month which equals to $12 at current price of BTC. It might be a better option in the long run to rent a VPS and host our own block explorer and maybe some other services on there.

On another note, I found an interesting community of gamers and opensource game developers who might make a good match with 1337 and its purposes. I will need some game testers soon so post in here if you're into games like Unreal Tournament and Quake.

I found this thread by doing a google search for "p2p coin exchange"
I've just begun to read some of your resources.
How are you making out with this?

I've stopped working on it due to a complete lack of interest so the project is dead at this point.

wow unbelievable this lack of interest from the community. this project looks like what crypto needs atm, esp after the drama with cryptsy now. sending the link to this thread to some friends who might be able to help with some stuff. best of luck with the project!

Velvet58 i updated the ita translation of the ANN, which is clearly different from the original so it took me some time to make an approx translation that could be at least decent (Even if i think that maybe was a bit useless because even with few posts i reached 2% of all the posts in the Alt-currencies ita section) and about those gaming contest do you have any kind of idea about which game use?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1234253.0

very nice work! please send me your 1337 address in a pm. i would also like to have you in my team, to manage the Italian 1337 devision.

my wellet 0 conx and i m desactiv pare_feu  so wat the problem???

im not sure what the problem is, did you follow the steps i posted? is the 1337.conf file in the right folder? isnt a firewall blocking the 1337 wallet? thats all i can think of atm that could have gone wrong. if you made a withdraw from c-cex to your own wallet, youll need to wait till its fully synched to see your coins in the wallet.

hello my wellet = 0 active conx and no synchronisé i have get the nodes but not work help me

you need to go to AppData>Roaming>1337 in your windows and add the 1337.conf in it

in case you cant find the folder cause its hidden, you need to go to 'settings' in windows and enable 'show hidden folders'

should look like this

also make sure that your firewall is not blocking the connections

HTH

Take it easy guys, a slow and steady rise would be better IMHO. put some buy orders in and be a little patient Wink

I posted a thread to ask for some suggestions from the BCT community for a safe and transparent way to burn some coins and was linked to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1182082.0 which contains a list of burnaddresses. I picked LbCryptoLifeDotNetBurnAddrXXXGon58 to try it out and the transfer went through. The idea is that its very unlikely that that address exists in the 1337 blockchain and even if it does, its very unlikely that someone can ever use the funds in that address.

So, what do you guys think about that?

I'm not so that sure about that... maybe because we are going to have lottieries from now on maybe at least 10% of all the coins used on it could be burned, that's the only thing i can come up at the moment even if i don't know how will change the price such action....

Well im not so sure either but we have to try different things to make this work right? fact is that 1337 is one of those high staking coins that will suffer from hyperinflation sooner or later... to prevent that from happening we can burn some coins to decrease the supply of coins out there OR we can increase the demand for the coin by building some fun services around it. i agree a lotto isnt a very interesting concept, even if 50% of the coins would get burned, we will have to see how the community reacts and if theyre willing to participate, but its a first step for now and i have good faith that more steps will follow soon Smiley

Check this threads, I'm not a coder and only understand a part of it. But it probably will help you burning the coins.

8059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Safe and transparent way to burn altcoins? on: January 09, 2016, 02:00:19 PM
hi guys, what would be a safe and transparent way to burn some coins? Im working on  a 'Burn For Fun' concept for 1337 and would like to get some advise from the BCT community.

In short, we will organize a lotto/lottery periodically and a share of the prize money will be send to a public burnaddress. would be nice to automate this somehow but at first we will do it all manually.

T.I.A

ps more info on 1337 can be found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1319833

wait let me get what is going on now, tillkoeln allowed that one of his coin get a takeover? let's hope that is something serious...

p.s. i don't see in the op the link to the translation i made when the coin was of till but i'm going to update it as soon as i can

yes thats correct. and thanks for pointing that out, i'll put some bounties up later and look for relevant links in the old 1337 thread to add here.
